I am dedicated. I think being there for Wyatt’s debut will be special too. I’m going to wear comfy heels so I can see over people. I’ve worn them before guess I’ll do it again lol
There are plenty of Tables around the stadium that you can take a seat at if you need a break, though most don't have view of the field, just a tv. You aren't restricted to one area, so walk around, and you may luck out and find a nice spot.
From what I can tell, the real estate to actually watch the game is pretty competitive. That being said, if you are more of an "experiences" fan and want to be in the stadium when we welcome home the world champs, it is def worth it!
You could always find the cheapest SRO ticket you can, head to the nosebleeds and then hang out at one of the cocktail tables. Those will probably be available as the game progresses.
Overrated! Clap clap clap-clap-clap. Overrated! Clap clap clap-clap-clap
And you're not an idiot, fam. Idiots go to opening day, sit in traffic so long they miss the first two innings and then the game ends at rush hour. It's a seven hour affair, most of which is spent in the car.
The rest of us know the sweet spots during the eighty other home games to drop our hard earned cash on. You can go to three games for the price of opening day.
Tuesday in May, Sunday in September, season ticket holders dump tickets well below face. Get some bang for your buck AND get an actual seat!
I've been to opening day the last 4-5 years, and never had these issues.
Tickets are hard to come by with this being the first ever opening day as the Champs.
/u/KYBourbon89 Depending on which way you go, the backstreets are still the best way in and out of the area. If you don't decide on SRO tickets, its possible last minute people who can't make it will dump their tickets on whatever ticket app so you can get in cheaper for a seat.
Oh I’m still going to do all of that too. I have no kids or boyfriend so I just take my mom and go. Dad pays her way and she pays the parking. But I do think I made an obsessive decision. 😅
FYI - the Rangers announced a new seating pavilion with tables and screens for this season, if that sways you
They charge more than standing in Jerry World, for a worse view when standing. Definitely not.
No
If you do SRO be sure to get there early
I had a better time going to the tailgates than going to the game.
For ACLS, the SRO section was right behind our seats and the whole group seemed to be having a great time.
What section was that?
I think section 31. It’s the section out in centerfield with the little tables and chairs
SRO was worth it for the World Series and ALCS. Whether or not it is worth it for Opening Day will depend on your dedication.

I've never been SRO but I will be on opening day. I'm going for the experience and I love just walking around the park. Only nervous about parking!
Park for free at J. Gilligan’s and pay for the shuttle ride to the ballpark!
I used to do this at Rio Mambo. Thank you for this advice!
Didn't know about that option, thank you!
My dad and I did that for Game 1 of the World Series. We then had victory shots at J. Gilligan's afterward. It's a good time.
Wow! How much is the shuttle?

Usually places require you eat there or drink there. Sometimes it’s a pain finding the shuttle to get back but saves a lot of money
If you’re available, probably Texas live or a sports bar would be better. If you want the baseball atmosphere I guess whatever the price right?
Yes I’m going to

How many times will you be able to watch the opening day of the World Series Champs? I would say it is worth it.
You win!
I’m watching it on tv, plenty of great opportunity to get great seats throughout the year.
Same here plus I kinda don’t live in Texas either….
I’ve never done it, but you’ll never find the good spots if you don’t give it a try
Standing room only is never a good idea; at that point, TV is a better view and proposition

Proud idiot, every year since 2002
Last year opening day seats were cheap. Now everyone is a fan. 🥲
