Horseshoe theory. I as a traditional conservative/libertarian, and Christian, also believe that women shouldn’t work.
*And by “shouldn’t,” I mean shouldn’t be expected to or required to to fulfill their God-given identity as nurturers and homemakers. Obviously everyone isn’t the exact same, and my wife worked as a teacher for years before we had our first kid because it made sense for us. Also the current economy makes it hard for lower middle class families to survive on one income, so in a roundabout way, I also agree with WvP on this point as well.
Problem is they don't want any of the traditional responsibilities of women like homemaking and child-rearing either, yet still expect to reap the benefits of a comfortable, leisure-oriented lifestyle afforded to them largely by the labor of men.
It’s 2022 women can’t just flutter around in the Forest pretending to be a fairy and expect food and housing and economic industrial goods to be provided for them while they do this. You’re coming at it from a trad con stand point which I disagree with in the modern age but I also see the value of it. They’re coming from this as lazy socialists who want to teach “theory” in the forest and have housing and shelter given to them
I totally agree with the lazy socialist critique, but I think the root of these desires isn’t as shallow as they look.
What I’m proposing is that the desire to teach and nurture with shelter provided is the way women are made, with this caveat:
It’s only possible with traditional family roles (including living in close proximity with grandparents and extended family which is rare and precious these days… it really does take a village to raise a child right imo).
The economical challenges are tough in the modern age, but they’re not a mandatory constraint of the modern age, merely a symptom of other cultural issues besides modernity.
They bitch and moan about STEM being mostly men but are radio silent about the more icky jobs like trades, manufacturing, and construction that are even more dominated by men.
Also, you don’t see men complaining about fields like nursing and teaching being mostly worked by women.

Agreed. All of these "movements" that share names with the actual movements from the past are mostly useless. Any remaining rights discrepancies are in their hands to deal with, and yet they'd rather whine about them while not touching them.
It seems all of these modern shadows of historic movements are a combination of victimization (pretending things are problems when they aren't, pretending problems still exist when they don't, making mountains out of molehills, etc.) and just straight-up playing pretend.
Plus, they give the original movements a bad name. For example, the name "feminism" is now highly dirtied due to misandrists appropriating it to use a familiar term to push their ugly message.
