Is it though, Eloy? He was the highest paid keeper in the league when we had a suitable/better replacement waiting in the wings and significantly cheaper. Cucho is one of the best five players in MLS and we have nobody that can produce close to the same output as him.
I have not thought about Room once since he left Columbus and don’t really care what he has to say.
“I had to ask for a transfer overseas because my wife divorced me and took my kid back to the Netherlands after I was caught f***ing a team staffer, so I can relate to what Cucho is going through.”
Ok bud.
Damn. I always thought that situation was weird. It worked out for us, but Eloy was good for us prior to that but if that is true it makes alot of sense. He should really shut up then if true.
while you can be all for the keep things in house stuff., this is what happens when you are vague on the crew's best player of all time not suiting up for two games.
Rumors start swilling. Rumors turn into the truth. Bing bang, cucho is gone.
Swirling rumors are a good way for him to feel even more discontent. Imagine it’s an in-house thing and he’s already unhappy with his treatment and then a bunch of fans start spreading negative rumors. Just gonna push him out faster. Stinks like someone is being difficult and I don’t know who. Why have drama when we’re at a high point in club history, just unnecessary
On the other hand, maybe the punishment is justified and Cucho is mature enough to work through it, and the rumor swirling is creating drama where there is none. Like you said, we're at a high point in club history and there's drama, but maybe the drama is only on the outside
Thank you, everyone thinks they’re all high and mighty for defending “privacy and team policy” until suddenly Cucho is gone. Lucas being shipped out was quiet and how many people were happy with that? stop gatekeeping and admit it’s okay for fans to question wtf is happening.
I think you’re misinterpreting why people were upset about Lucas leaving…
Even still, I don’t think he was shipped out quiet. We all knew what was happening and he even came to a game before he left, if I remember correctly.
Stern John (44 goals in 55 appearances) should probably also be on the list, as should Brad Friedel. Maybe Jeff Cunningham. Marshall and McBride were fantastic players.
Yep, others I could mention as well. Cucho is great, but he would need either more time with the team or a wild string of accomplishments in a short period of team to be in the conversation of greatest player in team history. Time-wise with the team so far, he's a flash in the pan like Guillermo, but Guillermo was also MLS Cup winner, Supporter Shield winner x2, MLS MVP and MLS Cup MVP. Chad Marshall is without question the greatest defender in the history of this league. Pipa had the longevity and moments to be a club/fan legend. In terms of pure talent, McBride and Guillermo would be at the top for me. McBride was a legit EPL player at a mainstay club in his era and Guillermo is a club legend at the biggest club in all of South America.
We don't know what Cucho allegedly did to break team policy
Room got deported after a DUI and had to miss some games as a result, fast tracked the process of Schulte taking his job permanently.
The GK for a team with a -23 goal difference? Sure.
Pretty sure this particular prior situation was a substantial win for the club.

Im looking around trying to figure out who asked

Wait what
True story.
Wait what
Wait what

Room should worry about his relegation battle instead.
No way are the two situations anywhere close to being the same
I'm not surprised Eloy Room decided to tweet something. It's an activity that doesn't involve moving his feet.
The fuck is this supposed to mean?
If he’s referring to himself, then we had a replacement named Patrick Schulte. Who is replacing Cucho? Rosssi?? lol
Mbappe to Columbus
Rossi just scored, holy shit.
Cucho who??
Whocho
Hey if we secretly had a DP-level number 9 on Crew 2 I wouldn't complain.
absolutely zero people asked for his input
I never really had any hard feelings for eloy. He won us a cup. But he can F off right now in whatever crap league he plays in now.
Room coming off as bitter in this. Love the guy, but come on lol
It's like Princess Kate all over again in here
Room can eat a bag of salted dicks. Also he posted that at like 2am local time. Go to sleep Eloy.
Officially Room's fault now
Go home Eloy

Yup. That is a risk you run.

Best player of all time?
Cucho. Yes. I think he is the best player to have ever played for the crew. I think slightly above Lucas.
Do you mean "most talented" to have ever played for the Crew? I'm not so sure that would be Cucho, era to era relatively speaking, either.
No. I think he is the best to have ever played. Who would you put above him.
Guillermo, McBride, Chad Marshall, Lucas, Pipa Edit: forgot to list Nagbe

Not the anti-vaxxer chiming in

Cucho is gonna leave and all these people in here arguing we don’t deserve to know why. SMH
