mlhuculak

Love it for my armpits and bikini line

9681468046

Same!

Grace__Face

What does it do for those areas?

yummypum

For armpits, it completely gets rid of sweat odor bc it kills the bad bacteria!! Love using it for my pits

Grace__Face

Ohhh love that! Thank u!

mlhuculak

Helps tremendously with ingrown hairs! Make sure you moisturize after applying. I usually shave down there, wait 12 hours, then apply this and moisturizer. Works wonders!

Grace__Face

Oh man I def need something for my in-growns! Will have to try on my legs too. Thank you! How many times a week are you using it?

mlhuculak

A couple times a week or as needed!

Ntee714

Does this lighten the area as well down there?

mlhuculak

Haven’t tried it for this purpose or noticed any significant lightening.

MissPurpleblaze

Any particular moisturizer? Or just your average body lotion?

Clowngirr

What type of moisturizer you use?

rais11

I have been using hand sanitizer for this… I m gonna try this from now on

FalconFar5577

HAND SANITIZERRRRRR?😂😭

rais11

It works 🤷🏻‍♀️

Spirited_Concept4972

Yesssss 💥💥💥

yaourted

how often are you putting it on?

yummypum

after every shower so once a day

Xtina1680

before deodorant?

yummypum

yes! or in replacement of - I’ve found it eliminates body odor for roughly 24 hours (in my personal experience, may be different for you)

Melodic-Psychology62

Not if you shave! Edited for just!

beautybites

what do you mean not if you shave, then it doesn't work?

PeggyAnne08

just don't use it on days you shave. it can cause irritation. I use it every 3 days or so with great results. helps w/ ingrown hairs too

hazardzetforward

It'll burn if you apply it immediately after shaving. Later that day is fine.

Ok_Fun_225

Hiii, do u need to pair it with anything when used in bikini line or the butt area? I have hyperpigmentation in those areas and I really wanted to lighten them up.

mlhuculak

Just a good gentle moisturizer! I use ceráve. Wait 12 hours before applying after shaving.

GxddessRas

For me it helped with texture and hyperpigmentation/ scarring. The marks on my face that appeared after I picked at acne has lighten up slightly. I also use it on my armpits and it has lighten up the area, along with decreasing the smell a bit

aReYouKidding189

Same.. helped with hyperpigmentation a great deal. I have not found it to be harsh

may-gu

How long did you do this to see results? How often?

GxddessRas

I'd say after 1 month of consistent use. I use it twice a week on my face 4x for my armpits.

BonusApprehensive654

a lot of people on here say it’s too harsh for the face. but i just got it and it hasn’t been too harsh for my face skin. i think it’s helped with texture. i tend to use one active product a day and rotate through them, so i don’t ever layer. but so far, i think i like it. i haven’t noticed a difference with my pores, but yes it helps w texture for sure. from what i remember, BHAs like salysilic acid is better for pores and blackheads.

chlekat

Agree, I have sensitive skin and have been using it on my face for years (a few times per week) with no issues! Definitely softens my skin.

DragonflyCreative227

How often do you use it ?

BonusApprehensive654

probably around 3x a week :)

Millie_Manatee

I just got mine this week, used it once on my face after cleansing, and my face stung and felt like sunburn for two days. Too strong for me.

BonusApprehensive654

nooo im sorry! do you usually have sensitive skin/did you use it with any other products?

Striking-Scarcity102

I’ve been using this on my face for years. Years. I have great skin. Pretty even skin tone. I use Exfolikate Glow Skin Moisturizer.

Zabala4you

Nice. Thank you for the tip. Can you give as well a tip for an amazing hands like that ?

julseybulsey

i wouldnt put this on my face to be honest. i would use it on my body though!

MiaMiaPP

Could you emanate on why not your face?

julseybulsey

its strong. you can easily damage your barrier with this thats why most people use it for the body instead.

FugginCandle

I use it on my face every night! Sometimes I skip, but usually nightly. I use a lot of moisturizing products though so I feel like that helps a lot to ensure my barrier isn't damaged. My skin has cleared up SOO much ever since I introduced this product (and others) to my routine.

Nice-Tea-8972

Same! I love this product. I use it probably 4 times a week when I don't use retinol.

bakeitoffbakeitoff

I used this on my face and it triggered folliculitis from my face down my neck, back, arms, and torso. I'd use this with an extreme amount of caution.

SunlightNStars

was it dripping that far down???

bakeitoffbakeitoff

Nope. I think it was more of a chain reaction sort of thing. The folliculitis was heavily concentrated on my forehead and behind my ears with a bunch of micro whiteheads. The rest of my body had visible red inflammation.

julseybulsey

i’ve heard other people say this. loads of people cant handle this on their face

Millie_Manatee

I have sensitive skin and this product burns my face. I use it on the backs of my upper arms and shoulders for keratosis pilaris and my bikini line for ingrown hairs and hyperpigmentation.

Willow-Bird-17

Make the face soooo smooth, soft and glowy. You’re missing out!

Jesuspetewow

I do a 30% glycolic acid peel once a week. It’s great for your facial skin, it’s an exfoliant and it gets rid of oil.

Classic_Grass1995

I used it for a year and never saw any changes. It could just be me though. I use it for my scalp now and it’s wonderful

DaisyBerilla

What does it do for your scalp?

Classic_Grass1995

It got rid of some dandruff and overall dry spots

DaisyBerilla

Can you explain how you used it? I have a couple of stubborn dry spots I would love to take care of! Thanks in advance!

slughornsfish

I also use it on my scalp for dandruff and dryness! I apply it along my parts and hairline and will let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Then I’ll get a scalp massager and gently rub it along where I’ve put the product to help lift the dead skin. Follow up with a shower to wash away the product and flakes and boom, you’re good for a few weeks.

DaisyBerilla

I just tried this… I have had the worst dry scalp that sometimes is painful and so itchy. And the itchiness messes with my anxiety. This hot tip has changed my whole mood!! Thank you- my scalp and neck feel amazing.

celestee3

Oh my gosh I might try this!! I have dry scalp and have been looking for something!!

SeeSea_SeeArt

Does it help with an oily scalp or greasiness?

slughornsfish

It’ll lift flakes and sebum from your scalp, so yes it’ll help with oily scalp too. I have greasy hair and have noticed it takes me longer between washes to start reaching for my dry shampoo since introducing this treatment into my routine.

kkittiee

I do this too. I use it as a weekly treatment or after days I use a lot of product for an event. Apply to scalp and massage in and let it sit for 10-15 min. Make sure to rinse your hair thoroughly then shampoo and condition. It gets rid of flakes and any build up.

deathandddecay

Is this safe for dyed hair??

Confident_Republic57

I get mine tomorrow - I am eager to find out. Reviews tell it’s quite aggressive to the skin barrier and should be handled with caution.

Prestigious_Ease_410

How often do you plan on using it? And what skin problem are you hoping it’ll help with

Confident_Republic57

I am hoping for an improvement on skin brightness and a smoother skin. I used it today on my face and didn’t recognize any burn or redness so far. Let’s see 😀

Street-Ad6073

I think the problem isn't the ingredient itself but rather the way it's being used by the person that's causing the irritation. Honestly I had this toner for a really long time, I even repurchased it several times but I stopped because I don't want to support this brand anymore. However, the only advice I can give you is that using a toner with such a high concentration with a cotton pad will only irritate your skin. You can use it for your body but not for your face so pat it in with your fingers instead. Also if you have other active ingredients in your skincare routine like BHAs or retinoids, try spacing them out by three days to allow your skin to recover.

tenilorac

Uh oh.. why aren’t you supporting the ordinary anymore?

Street-Ad6073

I am boycotting The Ordinary due to its support for Israel and the genocide in Palestine.

s0uthernpeach

Wow. Thanks for letting us know. I was about to make an Ordinary purchase.

Millie_Manatee

Just got mine, and I guess that was my problem — using a cotton pad. My face has stung and felt like sunburn for two days. IF I try it again in a few days, I’ll just use my fingertips. Thank you.

estelleexo

I bought this and then put it in an empty tiny spray bottle. I just didn’t like the twist cap and found I can control how much product I use in spray form! Less wasteful of product. Like others have said, I also use this for my armpits so just spray it there and honestly zero odour now!! I also spray on my face 1-2 times a week after my shower in the PM. :)

DocGlabella

What a cool idea! I'm totally going to do this!

estelleexo

Yess do it!!

Salc20001

I also have mine in a spray bottle. My micellar water too.

estelleexo

Omg micellar water that’s genius!!

Dizzynic

I use it daily and it keeps my pimples at bay.

xccnxo

I mix this with lotion for my feet and it helps with cracked heels. I don’t use this for my face as it’s too harsh.

ChickenNug3

I also use this on my feet! Makes them so soft and gets rid of any roughness on my heels!

Ocean_waves726

Oooh good to know

Spirited_Concept4972

Do you just mix it with any kind of lotion

xccnxo

Yes! I mix it with foot cream haha. I also wear moisturizing socks after too! My heels have never felt so soft

Spirited_Concept4972

Thanks I’m definitely going to try it out!!! I already use it on my underarms 😊

wheresmyadventure

I use it sparingly in the PM. It burns like a mf

thatSeveryonedraws

I use this a couple times a week but I dilute it first. It has been a game changer for me with blackheads and my skin texture in general. I could see how it could be harsh, so keep that in mind if your skin is especially sensitive.

nanadev07

What do you use to dilute it? Just water? Reading through the comments and seeing it may be strong for your face, curious to try diluting it

Audrasmama

I use it daily, as is, and it works great.

BreakTornado

I use it to fade acne scars. 1-2 times a week. Definitely works. It used to burn my skin but after I switched moisturizers, and build up my skin barrier, it doesn't burn me anymore. I don't think it helps with anything else though.

suestions

it improved my skins texture and has made some of my milia smaller and prevented new ones from popping up! i use it on my underarms too and while i haven’t noticed it improving sweat odor, it definitely lightened them

No-Trouble-8383

Pits and feet!!! Slather a bit on your calloused feet, cover in moisturizer and thick socks before bed. Repeat for a month and be amazed - you won’t need to use a babyfoot foot peel anymore and the cuticles on your hands will also magically become cleaned up 🧼

Apprehensive-Tank581

Do you use a cotton pad to apply onto your feet?

No-Trouble-8383

I used to but not I just pour a little in my hands. An exfolianting cotton round would likely do the trick too!

ilavenderhaze

I am half way done my 3rd bottle and I really like it! I use on my face at night and I also use it daily on my armpits, bikini line and elbows. It doesn’t get rid of blackheads but it helps lighten up skin hyperpigmentation on every part of the body I use and on my face it also helps to get rid of the redness after i pick on my skin.

Lunakill

It helps a bit with clogged pores but there’s really no one product that completely gets rid of clogged pores for most people.

[deleted]

Salicylic Acid helps!

Lunakill

For sure, I rotate salicylic, lactic, glycolic, and some combined AHA/BHA products on occasion

poormoron

I have been using actives for 15 years, and while this doesn't burn, it's also doing nothing for my face. I will try everyone's suggestion of using this on my armpits. It might be a good alternative to Panoxyl.

temp3rrorary

I bought this for my hyperpigmentation issues from ingrown hairs. I'll be honest my retinoid works better for texturing but glycolic acid has always been a way for me to eliminate a sudden breakout. I accidently didn't realize I needed to be cleaning my red light mask and got really bad white heads on areas that were pressed against the mask the most. Finally got them to reduce with one use of glycolic acid.

etsprout

Too strong for my face. I used this to get rid of a baby planters wart on my foot I got from a rented canoe lol. I put it on a bandaid for increased contact, and after like a week or so it was done. YMMV.

sickletail_

I love this stuff so much. I haven’t used it in a while but I visited my parents and used my mom’s bottle for two weeks and my skin looked awesome. Of course not everyone is the same but I really liked it I just made sure to moisturize too

[deleted]

Salicylic acid is much better for your skin problems. Glycolic acid is good for evening skin tone, hyperpigmentation, discoloration.

noodlenoodle9142

Trash

lauren-cova

I personally don’t use it on my face but use it on my upper arms and backs of my thighs/bum, shoulders/back..pretty much all over the large areas of my body everytime after a shower and it helps a lot to minimize little bumps and breakouts in those areas. I use the Ordinary mandelic acid for my face instead 2-3 times a week; it’s very gentle and I see results the following morning.

Prestigious_Ease_410

What kind of results does mandelic acid help with?

lauren-cova

I use it when I feel like some acne spots starting to develop and it helps turn over the skin so it doesn’t get worse. I can tell my skin looks more even in the morning and it’s also supposed to help with fine lines since it’s a chemical exfolient. The ordinary’s version also has some HA in it too to help add some moisture since these products can be drying. Mandelic acid and Glycolic acid are both AHA’s, the former having a larger molecule size so it absorbs at a slower rate so less chance for irritation.

No_Sir7141

I use nightly after cleansing and it removes any texture and bumps on my face. I stopped using for several months and started back up again. I forgot why I love this stuff, I have purchased at least 7+ times.

Prestigious_Ease_410

Have you seen it improve your pores or clogged pores?

No_Sir7141

Well my pores were not really clogged but it’s worth a try. Especially for the price point.

kelponwards

I love it.

myrandam93

I use it on my face with a cotton round and under my armpits. Works like a charm for me

RevolutionaryRock973

Licensed Esthetician here :) this is a stronger Glycolic Acid. Start with once a week, make sure you wear sunscreen after using this because it’ll make you much more sensitive to the sun. Once you’ve gotten your skin acclimated, you can increase to 2x/week or 3x/week. This has a very low pH & you’ll want to bring your skin’s pH level back up to a more neutral spot, so a gentle toner after this, followed by a vitamin C serum will show you the best results. Not hating on any brand, ordinary does tend to have some filler ingredients in there that don’t really benefit you though, so just keep that in mind when applying. *If your concern is blackheads, clogged pores, milia, etc a Salicylic Acid would be more beneficial than a Glycolic. (All of this to say, I haven’t seen your skin nor know your skin type lol)

DragonflyCreative227

So what brand will you recommend

RevolutionaryRock973

Honestly, I lean heavily towards professional/medical grade skin care. You need your license to purchase, or have a licensed esthetician purchase for you. That being said- Paula’s Choice, La Roche-Posay, Ceravae are all cleaner lines!

Prestigious_Ease_410

Hi there! What salicylic acid would you recommend as a leave on? Currently I use CERAVE SA CLEANSER and salicylic spot treatment for acne spots TYSM ☺️

RevolutionaryRock973

There is SO many. It definitely depends on your skin type & specific concerns. I personally don’t recommend over the counter products. There’s some good ones, but a lot of them have a LOT of useless/bad ingredients in them. What I do for my clients (or future clients) is offer a free virtual consultation & then purchase professional/medical grade products for them to use. A lot of the professional grade products are actually same price or cheaper than a lot of the stuff you find at target lol. If that’s not something you’re interested in- Paula’s Choice, La Rosch-Posay, Ceravae are pretty clean brands

bingdiddly

I use it once every couple of weeks or so on my underarms. Used to use it 1-2x weekly but it would burn my skin so had to cut back.

lubear2835

this wrecked my face almost immediately BUT is great for **Keratosis pilaris** on arms and legs. if you want a face toner - that's so so kind and so so amazing - rice toner -- [https://sokoglam.com/products/im-from-rice-toner-150ml?variant=39324146892869¤cy=USD&utm\_medium=product\_sync&utm\_source=google&utm\_content=sag\_organic&utm\_campaign=sag\_organic&utm\_source=google&utm\_medium=pmax&utm\_campaign=SokoGlam+-+PMax&utm\_id=18137018100&gad\_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw17qvBhBrEiwA1rU9wxyTS1lUjH346dgZ5fPP7qKzbpFGM\_mdofaR0sg3PLwDU9gE\_57fEhoCOgoQAvD\_BwE](https://sokoglam.com/products/im-from-rice-toner-150ml?variant=39324146892869¤cy=USD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&utm_source=google&utm_medium=pmax&utm_campaign=SokoGlam+-+PMax&utm_id=18137018100&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw17qvBhBrEiwA1rU9wxyTS1lUjH346dgZ5fPP7qKzbpFGM_mdofaR0sg3PLwDU9gE_57fEhoCOgoQAvD_BwE)

Slow-End8091

I absolutely loveeee this product! My face is glowing and I use it on my arms every once in a while

Aicelet

What exactly does this do? Ice seen this brand alot but I'm not sure what it is known for exactly

NoYou3321

I use this to help clear breakouts. Or after a breakout to help with discoloration.

MaryDellamorte

I only use it on my pits to control odor. I tried putting it on my face and made me break out terribly and I don’t have sensitive skin.

FreeJarOfPickles

Love it! I use it on my face, armpits, scalp, chest and feet

unbiasedwimp

Would this help with my KP on my arms!?

Prestigious_Ease_410

From other people’s responses and videos I’ve seen , they said yes but look into it more

bookiegrime

It has definitely helped mine! Some products have irritated my KP, like a KP lotion that inflamed my upper arms and made them burn so bad. I like the Olay KP body scrub and The Ordinary’s Glycolic Acid best for KP! I also use it on my face once every other week (along with other actives and treatments) and it’s very intense on my sensitive face skin but extremely effective. Like others, I like to use it on places that could use help combatting bacteria and its smell - underarms, bikini lines, etc. I also use Dennis Gross and some basic drugstore brands for skincare, and I think this glycolic acid is one of the better deals out there: extremely effective for multiple things when used mindfully and carefully for a very palatable price. Oh, I love keeping it in a spray bottle and getting to the roots of my hair and scalp once a month too! Moisturizing mask on my ends, GA on the scalp, and it’s like I’ve gone to a Japanese head spa. Good luck!!

Top-Strawberry143

broke me out immediately

Hot_Honeydew_3628

Use it in the scalps it’s does wonders for dandruffs during winters and offcourse armpits for odour and pigmentation. It really lightens give it a try

blueslidingdoors

I love this shit. I mostly use it on my body, really great at getting rid of dry winter flakes on your legs and arms. Great for exfoliating your scalp. And l will put a few drops in a thicker moisturizer for a gentle overnight resurfacing treatment. Truly the biggest bang for your buck. I always restock in November during there anti Black Friday sale.

Charlietheaussie

I apply it to my heels As well as my face but not more then twice a week

AccomplishedIsland14

I was thinking about getting this for my underarms and bikini area

overloadedboredom

I wanted to love this for my armpits but every time I used it under my arms it caused a rash 🥲

wagswanson

i have pretty sensitive skin & rosacea and this destroys me every time i try to use it. i looooove it for my armpits though nothing comes close to it- i tried hibiclens and this stuff is way better

moonskoi

Never used it for my face but my god is it an incredible deodorant

[deleted]

I actually used this on my scalp during my hair wash routine and felt like it did wonders for my hair. Just an fyi for the girlies 💕

sadellitee

My skin is ultra sensitive to glycolic acid but I use this on my face 2x a week at night and have seen much improvement on my skin texture, hyperpigmentation, pore size and overall 'glow.' It stings a little but that feeling has since improved after using it regularly. I follow this product with soothing products, a ton of moisturizer and make sure to skip out on Vitamin C and any active ingredients considered harsh on the face. And since the bottle is so huge, I've used it on my scalp and especially legs for my strawberry skin. So yes, she is beauty, she is grace <3 I recommend!! If you're looking to help sebaceous filaments on the nose and cheeks (if that's what you're referring to when you say blackheads) - oil cleansing has helped me the most.

FryTime2010

When you use it on your legs, do you just use your hands to rub it in? I've been using cotton pads but I go through them so much I feel like I'm creating such waste.

clownstateuniversity

Yes I use it around certain parts of my hairline that seem to get bumps. And I’ve also successfully removed milia spots in the matter of weeks with spot treatment. I don’t use this product all over. I tend to just use it on problematic areas on my chin and nose, maybe once a week. Im on tret so I don’t need it too much

ButteredLove1

This is supposed to be good to get dead skin off your feet

paigfife

I love this stuff. I use it on my face everyday and on my bikini area before shaving.

candles4lyfe

Holy Grail !

Audrasmama

Yes, I use this on my face each morning and it absolutely helps reduce the look of black heads and large pores. Folks with sensitive skin may not be able to use it daily.

Beautiful_Ad3328

It’s way too strong for my face but has worked wonders on my armpits. I just started applying it to my heels too in hopes they look more “summer ready” when the time comes.

ParticularPlantain22

I think my pores got visibly smaller, but also my skin got slightly burnt once, probably i went overboard with the swiping. Anyways I'm afraid to try again as the burn has left some blemishes on my face which is now improving - i have been using anti pigmentation cream. I would want to incorporate GA again into my regime but not sure how😐
