RIP to battling rockets to stack Sableye encounters. Now the only task with a boosted stardust encounter is hatch an egg, which is only a one in five task. I now have basically zero motivation to do tasks.
I really wish they embraced what the "3 excellents in a row" once was. Pre-Gible CD, when it was only Gible as an encounter, it was a great task to hunt for, even if it was rare.n
I'd love to see them have the next Pseudo in a similar kind of task. Even if it was a new "5 excellents in a row" task. Throw Jangmo-o in from June 2024-2025, then switch it to Frigibax etc. And they could still make it really rare too.
But no, we're still stuck with the same old pseudos
Yeah man, I’m still about 90 XL shy of maxing my 4*, this was THE task for me.
Side note, replacing it with onix still makes this the only task I’m interested in as I finish up my ultra league shadow Steelix.
Strangely, our Discord has been reporting both #7 AND #8 today. No other ones reported.
Maybe a mistake on Niantic's part, or maybe they are trying something different.
Dang, I have a hundo and shiny for that one already. I could try for a shundo, but the odds are so ridiculously low that I can't justify the time and effort it could take.
It's really annoying that more and more tasks become barely changed each season, if at all.
Catch 5 weather boosted, Win in GBL, Earn buddy candy and Hatch eggs are insta delete for me. I'd prefer if they would swap all species for 3 months instead of rewards growing into absurd species lottery.
The graphic just says possible encounters. It doesn’t show any item based rewards so hopefully we can still farm some mega energy. I missed Aggron last month so I’m still like 25 energy short on that.
I’d also love aerodactyl energy, don’t have that either yet.
They just basically removed all good pokemon from the last season. No sableye, no snorlax, no cranidos, no shieldon, no skarmory. Barely anything to get excited about, and they are all locked behind tedious tasks.

Ah damn, I didn't realise! I remember being much more enthusiastic about tasks when they were a guaranteed mon and changed every month. Now it barely changes every season. 😭
These are so damn bad. The only ones worth to me are the hatch eggs (1 and 2) and the power up tasks. At least I won’t need to throw them out anymore like usual
It would be nice if they could bring back Drowze, it was just a kanto event but i didn’t see any Drowze.

I guess i'm gonna be focused in mega energy and events FR given how poor the seasonal FR are. The encounters for raiding are soo disappointing. It's lame that the reward for making 3 excellents in a row is now WORST than just making 2 excellents (that's the only worthy FR encounter of this season for me).

These are the ones you get from spinning pokestops. But during events you can get ones that are unique to the event (those ones have an orange border and say they're event tasks).
That's a hard pass on Walk 2 km

The non-event quests have been like this since quests first came out. They're baseline quests.
I don't understand why niantic thinks onyx is a rare pokémon. Most of these tasks are so disappointing.
No rare shiny to hunt. No stardust boosted encounter. No point to do this research.

I've been looking for the Lileep/Anorith task for two months now.
Also never in my life have I found the research task "make 3 excellent throws in a row."

Ya, aren't many tasks that we try to get anymore. Especially with those 2 being gone.
The excellent throws tasks I like, but never seem to get. Is there some special stops I need to spin or is it somewhat random?

I really don't like the 3 snapshots tasks. They sometimes feel impossible when you get them during an event.

Seems to me this season regular tasks are only useful for Mega energy. Quite disappointing.

That should be labeled as an event task and isn't expected to remain after the current event.
