Comes in, perfectly delivers three lines, leaves. Absolute perfect use of a celebrity playing themselves
Why were they so adamant he not voice Bret Hart as Bret Hart even when they changed his character to be himself? It's 3 lines, doing it in any character would have been fine for the scene.
Came here for this. Him swinging the mic around and knocking the shit outta Millhouse while singing *Jingle Bells* is peak Simpsons.
RG: *Jingle Bells, Batman smells, Robin laid an egg. The Batmobile lost its wheel and the Joker got away, hey!*
**TWIRLY MIC NOISE**
Millhouse: *OWW!*
RG: *Ah! I'm sorry kid!*

I don’t know if this counts or not but I thought it was funny that they put KI on blast like this
This will always be one of my all time favourite visual gags:

Music guest: The Ramones.
Singular person: Three way tie between Leonard Nimoy, Johnny Cash, and John Waters.
Recurring guest stars: Phil Hartman, Marcia Wallace, and Albert Brooks.

he's way more chill than I would be if the inflatable pig that i got a pink floyd's yard sale flew away, my orchestra was stolen by cypress hill, AND sonic youth was rooting around in my cooler (yes i am going to eat all that watermelon!)
There was but because of Leaving Neverland they wanted nothing to do with him so they removed the episode "Stark Raving Dad" which he voiced a character but not as himself and Michael helped produce and did backing vocals for "Do The Bartman"
Actually one I really love is Darryl Strawberry in that baseball episode. Like I have no idea who that is but his whole thing is hilarious. "They got no hustle coach."
George Harrison, simply because of how understated it is. A member of arguably the most influential band in music history, and all he does is tell Homer where the brownies are and say "Wow, what a nice fellow. :)". Chef's kiss.
https://preview.redd.it/i3988xf6xexc1.jpeg?width=2835&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8c09ec578cbd967b424163c1dc22e2d04318110c
Phish
"I smell marijuana smoke. THAT BETTER BE MEDICINAL!"
Barry White because of all the jokes surrounding him. Like with the Simpsons needing deep bass music and only having squeaky music, then he’s just walking by.
Objectively, it has to be The Ramones, right? They were literally on screen for [less than 40 seconds](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VC5XcyYFuqc) and it that time we get:
1. Smithers doing Ed Sullivan
2. Burns' woeful misunderstanding of what he's about to hear
3. An original song that doesn't suck
4. Random abuse hurled by members of the band, capped by Tommy's sincere "Hey, I think they really liked us!"
5. "Smithers, have the Rolling Stones killed."
I think they are almost never actually funny, and often are just jammed into the episode and the plot makes herculean efforts to make them meet and like a “normal” family like the Simpsons. But I am happy if some people like it.
James Woods
“How can it be the same movie if they've changed my character from a tightly wound convenience-store clerk to a jittery Eskimo firefighter? Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Mm-hmm. Well, actually, that's... that's a pretty good explanation.”
OMG There SO MANY Guest Stars I Love! Bette Midler was Hilarious in her Guest Starring Role, Jason Momoa, Lenny Kravitz, Mick Jagger, Elvis Costello, Tom Petty, Keith Richards, Brian Setzer, Nsync, Weird Al Yankovic, Sting, Elton John, Paul and Linda McCartney, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith And Amber Riley are My Favorites.
Leonard Nimoy
But he didn't do anything!
![gif](giphy|3orif68nbIeBrnIK1q|downsized)
A solar eclipse! The cosmic ballet... goes on. ...Does anyone want to trade seats?!
Who's he? One of the Little Rascals?
William Faulkner could write an exhaust pipe gag that would really make you think.
Do you even know who I am?
Which time?

Why were they so adamant he not voice Bret Hart as Bret Hart even when they changed his character to be himself? It's 3 lines, doing it in any character would have been fine for the scene.
- "You have to pretend to be someone else." - "But why did you draw me exactly as me then? - "Shut up, that's why."
Why did I never realize this was *actually* the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be?
I was so excited seeing this cameo when it aired!
He didn’t want the painting. Why did Burns leave it?
Burns was demoralized
https://preview.redd.it/0lokv76hacxc1.jpeg?width=496&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=45ab6350e607f689d6889c22119d1976828e590e

*bark!*
Damn straight.
Find your soulmate Homer!
Robert Goulet's appearance has some really great bits Also everyone in Homer at the Bat
“Vera said that?!?”
He sounds so genuinely hurt
And yet he didn't question it, which suggests that it isn't the first time.
Enh!

Cypress Hill. That orchestral rendition of Insane in The Brain, is unreal.
And apparently happening IRL now - I saw they’ve teamed up with the London Symphony Orchestra 😂
....I hope there is a recording or some clips. This is the best music news I've heard in quite some time.
Man, I hope so. It is legit, though. He’s a quick teaser (feat. Simpsons reference): https://youtu.be/GIff34OP2OI?si=GB7Pl3yIiKk53bt7
.....thank you. They say reddit is a toxic wasteland. You proved them wrong this day.
Reddit still toxic! You praise later.
My husband and I got tickets! We blew quite a lot of money, but we're very excited to get dressed up in a tuxedo and ballgown to go see Cypress Hill
This and RHCP and generally all the music ones. "This isn't the bleedin'... splish splash show."
Scully and Mulder from the X-Files
This will always be one of my all time favourite visual gags: https://preview.redd.it/smu8s3iiicxc1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fd115db428acd0005f0d31a76587fc8e43052095

![gif](giphy|3orif5aoB7VF04KDbG|downsized)
“Oh no! Bette Midler!” One of my favorite Simpsons quotes. This episode is amazing.
I say this whenever someone brings up Hocus Pocus.
It’s time to take out the trash
You pig!!!
I’ll get you Bette Midler 💥
https://preview.redd.it/h3gk4ogq1cxc1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e251b0144ae36208a4ed4284f79b0b9765be7646

Gear!
Steve Martin as Ray Patterson in Trash of the Titans
Do we want old man Patterson here with his finger on the button?

You're all talk Hammill, you never even finished Jedi school!
“Find your soulmate, Homer!”
*bites Homer in the ass* "Haha, sorry... I *am* a coyote."
Homer Simpson.. smiling politely
That, and getting toasted. Nicely toasted.
Music guest: The Ramones. Singular person: Three way tie between Leonard Nimoy, Johnny Cash, and John Waters. Recurring guest stars: Phil Hartman, Marcia Wallace, and Albert Brooks. https://i.redd.it/9an1utoz9dxc1.gif
I think you meant the Rolling Stones.
Pure. West.
And how come Batman doesn't dance anymore? Remember the Bat-tou-sie?
Smokin' Joe Frazier
I can send people to your house, bad people
Heard this in my head lol. "Come on, that has nothing to do with it - \_SMOKIN'\_ Joe."
Barry “Larry” White. Whacking Day is an underrated episode imho.
Leave all the snakesssss.... alone!
Cypress Hills I’m looking in your direction
"Oh no, Bette Midler" is one of my favorite lines of all time.
Mine will have to be Tony Bennett
Lucy Lawless
Wait a minute, Xena can't fly!
I told you; I'm not Xena. I'm Lucy Lawless.
https://i.redd.it/qn4mcrr4tbxc1.gif Randy Johnson
David Crosby. He did two cameos.
Michael Jackson!
But not as himself, though.
[Mr. Jones?](https://images.app.goo.gl/gyyT1tHiXJ96w9BZ7)
Turns out it IS unusual.
Peter Frampton is a really good sport.
he's way more chill than I would be if the inflatable pig that i got a pink floyd's yard sale flew away, my orchestra was stolen by cypress hill, AND sonic youth was rooting around in my cooler (yes i am going to eat all that watermelon!)
Smashing Pumpkins
Homer Simpson, smiling politely.
If anyone says kid rock, they’re banned.
That’s how I felt about Lady Gaga, probably the worst episode in the series
What's that last one?
Just the infamous 2014 Ellen selfie, Simpsonized, not from the series that I know of lol
As a little kid I loved 50 cents music so seeing 50 cent as in the show made me love that episode even though is was a small cameo
Did the fifth N-sync guy finish his enlistment period in the Navy?
Yvan eht nioj.
Former president James Taylor.
Gary Coleman, of course. "But the menu said a *galaxy* of prawns..."
Three prawns are *hardly* a galaxy!
Omigod, that is so adorable. You're rehired!
NSYNC is hilarious and James Woods. Most of the cameos are the writers dick riding them.
Werd!
Lmao I love that Justin Timberlake told the writers that he never says "werd' and so they wrote it in more as a joke
Really? I feel like they poke fun at everybody pretty much
Got to be Michael Jackson.
There's an episode with Michael Jackson? That's not how Disney tells it
There was but because of Leaving Neverland they wanted nothing to do with him so they removed the episode "Stark Raving Dad" which he voiced a character but not as himself and Michael helped produce and did backing vocals for "Do The Bartman"
Aunt Bella! Wait a minute, I've got a call on the other line. Michael Jackson!
Johnny Cash
Actually one I really love is Darryl Strawberry in that baseball episode. Like I have no idea who that is but his whole thing is hilarious. "They got no hustle coach."
“Are you better than me?” I’ve never met you, but yes
Daaaaaaaaryl, Daaaaaaaaryl...
James Earl Jones!
Maybe not the best, but I loved REM. Michael No! That’s not the REM way. You’re right. Come on, let’s recycle these shards and get out of here.
George Harrison, simply because of how understated it is. A member of arguably the most influential band in music history, and all he does is tell Homer where the brownies are and say "Wow, what a nice fellow. :)". Chef's kiss.
Put yourself in Homer’s size 52 pants and understand guiding him to the brownies was a benevolent act, not for the brownies though.
If you answered Kid Rock, you are incorrect. He isn’t a celebrity
😲 James Woods!
HELLO ST LOUIS
I always crack up when the Cyprus Hill guy does Nelson's "Ha-ha" at Bart
Weird al
Paul & Linda 💯
Stephen hawking
I’d argue they are pretty universally crap
Thomas Pynchon appearing as himself is just hilarious.
Mine too! I think it’s his only “public” appearance.
You can call them whitey whackers!
It’s been done
Elon Musk, he is such a wonder, right folks?
N'sync, no contest. Word!
https://preview.redd.it/i3988xf6xexc1.jpeg?width=2835&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8c09ec578cbd967b424163c1dc22e2d04318110c Phish "I smell marijuana smoke. THAT BETTER BE MEDICINAL!"
Barry White because of all the jokes surrounding him. Like with the Simpsons needing deep bass music and only having squeaky music, then he’s just walking by.
Rodney Dangerfield, Homer’s line, can’t they get a post for that sign? That whole episode is hilarious
Objectively, it has to be The Ramones, right? They were literally on screen for [less than 40 seconds](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VC5XcyYFuqc) and it that time we get: 1. All the authors at the Wordloaf Festival in Moe'N'a Lisa.
Robert Goulet is my favourite if I have to choose.
"I love the sexy slither of a lady snake."
I think they are almost never actually funny, and often are just jammed into the episode and the plot makes herculean efforts to make them meet and like a “normal” family like the Simpsons. But I am happy if some people like it.
Metallica
Definitely the ramones
Mark Hamill. "use the forrr, use the forrrk"
When I first watched it growing up, Christina Ricci.
James Woods “How can it be the same movie if they've changed my character from a tightly wound convenience-store clerk to a jittery Eskimo firefighter? Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Mm-hmm. Well, actually, that's... that's a pretty good explanation.”
![gif](giphy|l1J9PTeBkoXUsLwis|downsized)
For me, it's a four-way tie between Adam West, Bette Midler, Leonard Nimoy, and Barry White.
Smashing Pumpkins
did they actually get 50 cent on or was it just a replacement guy
![gif](giphy|xT5LMB7SdUaRRCeWDm) Danny Devito!!
Dick Cavet
"Good night, Springton. There will be no encores."

Definitely RuPaul. The whole drag queen Marge episode is my favorite.
Lady Gaga
Robert Goulet. His Appearance was funny when he was on the show. Nelson: "Your Manager Said for you to Shut Up!" Robert Goulet: "Vera Said That?"
