Despite the danger, itās sweet to see that Bart and the guys are willing to share the road trip experience with a guy they just met. The fact heās willing to open up to them helps too.

HOWEVER I will always stand by Kill the Alligator and Run, despite it being universally hated. I adore how dynamic the plot is, it never, ever settles down. The comedy writing here is great (the nonsense talking heads on TV, "no listening, you hear me?", or die trying, i like that, the sheriff's bouncing hat). I'll accept that Homer is even more braindead than usual here, the plot is thinly stiched together, and the ending makes absolutely no sense (why is the alligator in the town hall? packing so much into 20 minutes led to a horrible choice for deleted scene). Idk, this episode is always fun to watch and it's one of my favourites from Season 11.
Bart on the Road is probably the best imo.
Although, Bart vs. Australia is a classic. The Drundridges & their local MP Gus have basically become mascots for us Aussie fans. Oh, and Prime Minister Andy does have a passing resemblance to current PM Anthony Albanese.
I also did like the episodes where they went to Israel & Boston. The Israel episode is one of the few episodes I can enjoy with the older members of my family. They're from the Middle East, and they enjoyed some of the local jokes, especially when Homer ordered a "meatlovers falafel".
That was one of the better post-Simpsons prime episodes. I remember watching it with my Chinese housemates at the time and they thought the bit with Homer disguised as a Buddha statue was hilarious. ššš
The Australian episode is probably my favorite but the spring break/insane Homer one is a close second. I still say "my pockets hurt" when someone asks how I'm doing.
