Congrats and welcome to the club! I was just looking at getting a new one myself, but decided to put money in my '16 instead. I was stuck on that color, or the Atlantic Blue, such great color choices. Totally agree with what you said, no other CUV has that kind of styling, I love it!
Thank you! Yeah I was looking at the Atlantic blue with the storm grey interior and I loved it. But this was the only SEL in stock within 100 miles of me haha. I wasnāt originally going to get a brand new one, but with the 0% APR finance offer, I couldnāt resist.
Good to hear! Iāve heard a lot of people complain about the lack of power. Itās definitely not āfastā by any means, but itās plenty for me at the moment
The moss green looks great!! Itās one of my favourite colors. I didnāt realize they used to offer that colour option on tiguans. Congratulations to you!
The metallic silver still looks very nice! I actually was going for the Atlantic blue with storm grey interior, but now I couldnāt imagine myself in anything other than the Kings red.
Iād just get it to match the back seats, based on your reply I think youāre more technical than me lol. My way costs $120 and the dealership usually throws it in.
That red is smokin. Have a 23 SEL-R and have worked out some of the Tig quirks since getting it new. The auto start/stop is a nuisance but I just habitually turn it off when I start the car now. You can purchase a cable harness that disables it on start up. Thereās also OB11, vcds and apr stage 1 ecu tune that offer the auto start/stop disable. I wasnāt a fan of the front amber side markers on mine so I ended up purchasing smoked side markers, makes it blend in more with the black accents. Wouldnāt hurt to check the software version of your infotainment system. Thereās been some bugs with the audio and CarPlay connectivity (mine would sometimes have no audio and would have to manually reset the infotainment system). Not sure if youāve noticed with your Tiguan, but it can be limp on cold start up if you were to drive off after starting it. It might not affect the 24s but thereās a TSB/ECM update available to remedy this. Had a MK7.5 GTI before my Tig, and was surprised with how much body roll this car had. Just recently installed an aftermarket rear sway bar and man what a difference it makes. Definitely mitigates a lot of the body roll and feels confident taking turns, especially on/off ramps.
Wow thanks for all the tips! Havenāt noticed any sluggishness on a cold start just yet, but now Iāll be thinking about it and will keep an eye out. Infotainment with Apple CarPlay has been fine thus far. Iām also not a huge fan of the side markers, so I may take a note out of your book on that one! Iāve been checking out the ACU tunes, but I donāt think I really need it. Maybe after a couple years if Iām wanting a bit more punch out of the engine. Somebody mentioned tinting as well. I may do an infrared ceramic tint on the windshield for the hot summer days.
Yeah Iāve held off on tuning it for now until Iām out of warranty. I did order a throttle controller to get rid of some of the throttle lag. Sport mode is definitely more responsive but would rather have the lag mitigated in all drive modes. Not familiar with infrared ceramic, I ended up doing a 35 front/15 rear (wish I had gone 5 instead), but the windshield is a good idea since the cabin does get pretty warm during the summer.
Has the 35 helped with the heat on your end? Yeah I wasnāt going to tint the rear since itās already pretty dark. How easy or difficult was the throttle controller? Iām still fairly new to modifying. The most Iāve done is swap steering wheels, change oil and brakes/rotors, and swap infotainment systems
I got some dynamic mirror flashers, center console cubby, stiffer rear swaybar and vcds to customize mine

Oh wow! Yeah I was sad to see the mirror indicators werenāt dynamic. Assuming thatās some US regulation. I will certainly be picking those up. The dashboard cover is huge as well! Thanks for the tips.
Get yourself a trim removal tool kit so you donāt mark up the dash swapping the cubby out. Theres several clips you have to undo to swap it
Dynamic flashers are semi tricky to install, most nerve wracking part is pulling the mirror glass off to get in there
Congrats. She's a.beauty. Love my '23 SEL. Mine is in Black. My guy has the same car in blue. Put it in sport mode and it defines quick. Love this car inside and out.
Color isš°š°š°š°š°
I agree!
Congrats on your new Tiggy!
Thank you! I like that nickname haha
That red is amazing
I agree! Itās a very sleek look
Turn off the automatic engine shut off. Makes for a smoother ride
Do you need a vagcom/vcds to do this?
I unfortunately just turn it off each time I drive. Have not tried any other work around to make it permanent
Yeah thatās definitely something I want to do eventually. Gotta do some more research as to how to permanently shut it off
You have to press it every time you start up itās the A button right side of shifter
Oh yes, I know! But there is a kit you can get to permanently turn it off!
Congratulations. Loving the colour. I would have picked that if it was available over here (UK).
Thank you! Iāve only had white cars, so red was a quite a shift from my norm. But it fits the car very well! Iām in the states!

That shit is soooo red.
Yes, yes it is! š“
I got the same one in black in November. This is quite an upgrade from my 2018 SEL. The 2024 has a better ride & feels quicker.
Good to hear! Iāve heard a lot of people complain about the lack of power. Itās definitely not āfastā by any means, but itās plenty for me at the moment
That's right. I wanted an SUV, not a hot rod.
Congratulations! Itās gorgeous!! I got a CPO 2019 se in metallic moss green and love having a colored vehicle! I normally have black lol.
The moss green looks great!! Itās one of my favourite colors. I didnāt realize they used to offer that colour option on tiguans. Congratulations to you!
They stopped in 2019! I wish they still offered it. I would have gotten a new tig!
Sweet!!
Thank you!!
Dang! The color is amazing! I love my Tig but I wish I had gone with a different color. Mine is metallic silver.
The metallic silver still looks very nice! I actually was going for the Atlantic blue with storm grey interior, but now I couldnāt imagine myself in anything other than the Kings red.
Nice! Just picked up a white one like this a couple weeks ago. What interior did you go with?
I picked up last week with white exterior and black interior. I wanted the hazelnut interior so bad but dealer did not has it
I got the brown interior š¤¤ at first they told me they didn't have it, but then called back and said they did. I was sold.
I got the black interior! It was the only interior colour option to come with the Kings Red
Gotcha. Doesn't matter. Car still looks gorgeous!
Never seen the R-Line in Red, I love it and wish I had been more patient. Have silver and love it too but that looks great
Thank you! My first red car, and I love it
Tint the front windows, worth it
What level of tint would you recommend? Iāve heard good things about Infrared rejection ceramic tints to help with the heat
Iād just get it to match the back seats, based on your reply I think youāre more technical than me lol. My way costs $120 and the dealership usually throws it in.
The red looks brighter than the photos they post on the website!!! I might consider it now when my 2022 lease is up.
The VW car configurator really doesnāt do the color justice. Glad to hear!
are you in US?! this color is š
Yes! And I agree :)

Ah okay, yeah I have a nice plastic trim removal kit that I can use. The turn signals may have to wait a bit but looks so much better. Thanks again!

Thank you! It is a beautiful vehicle
That color is so good on the Tiguan!
Nice, always love the way they look. Got my wife one this weekend.
