omg this annoys me too!! why would they even add this if the point is to find a video that i’m searching 😭 also when i click on a hashtag and it looks up the word instead of bringing me straight to the hashtagged videos if u know what i mean
This literally pisses me off so badly like it literally shoes me videos that have NOTHING to do with what I searched, and most times it will be the same videos I've already seen. It's genuinely infuriating.
i’ve noticed this too but i saw a comment where someone said after you search a video, click ‘videos’ instead of ‘top’ and it stops happening! i just tried it & so far it seems to be working!!
mine shows me videos that were posted that day but i haven’t been getting random videos from it, at least so far. i seriously hope this fix this though it’s just super annoying to deal with
okay i contacted tiktok and this is what they said to do: “ 1. Switch between WiFi and mobile data. 2. Clear app video cache. 3. Check for app updates.”
I did all three things and it worked!!

It's soo annoying. Wish they get rid of it in the next update.

Yes the same videos! Like clips from a movie with someone cutting soap at the bottom or some click bait with some girl in yoga pants.

i’ve been trying that but then it just shows me the same videos i already saw and then starts showing me random videos again 🥲
