It has been pretty sad to see the shift on this sub where basically 80% of people who post here are clippers and reposters. It didn’t used to be so many.
It’s full of people who just want to make “quick” money because they saw some teenager guru post about making 10k a month from reposting content or AI generated stuff. it’s sad to see a lack of passion.
They make money pirating videos? I am a Clinical Psychotherapist and do voice overs with info anyone can download explaining mental health content of all kinds. Lately this algorithm thing has happened to me and I never got paid, in spite of all the work I put into it. I once had up to 40,000 views and now I rarely get one. I've been in a physical rehab for 3yrs after some botched shoulder surgeries so I prefer not to do videos of me right now. I thought I was being reprimanded by tictok because I wasn't in my videos. I did give them my driver's license so I was than verified. I'm going to close out my account for 25 days. Just enough time before the 30 day mark when it would completely close. Thanks
That’s why they should remove or at least monitor that 1 minute for monetization rule. Only 10% is actual good content like tutorials for cooking/arts/crafts etc. and the rest of them is just full of people babbling about the most useless stuff or it’s just straight up YouTube/podcast/movie clips to fill up the minute.
I created edited and pained over my last original content video. They refused to put it on the FYP saying “non-eligible because of unoriginal content low quality“ yet some people just repost clips of other videos with a different sound. this is a shit show

A whole lot of people parrot this talking point that creators actually want their content stolen, but of all the creators I’ve ever spoken to, that is just not the case. The idea that it’s actually good for us and drives more people to our content is not true either. People do not fucking read anything you put in front of them, so tagging the creator whose content you clipped means essentially nothing, as 99% of viewers are not going to see it. Ask me how I know.
Unless you’re an absolutely massive creator with the type of brand power for your content to be recognized as yours regardless of who posts it, clippers are not helping, they’re leeching. The idea that creators actually want their content stolen is pure cope.

I use lots of very short excerpts from clips or interviews, along with stock footage images and videos to illustrate my videos, and it takes me 6 to 12 hours to make one video.

I used to be on TikTok making clips on different animes, but then I stopped because I felt like it was dumb and a waste of time giving other creators free advertisement. So now my whole TikTok is about my art, and others got mad about me not making stupid clips but screw those losers because they ain't paying me to do anything.
My views on my gaming page are tough, but that's also cuz I'm a very small streamer. My commu ity I've got is fantastic tho, so I'll take that over a bug community of trolls and jackasses.
