Hopefully there’s kerdi going down on the shower floor. Floor looks kinda lumpy under that level…hard to tell though.

There's no waterproofing membrane. When I do things like this in basements I run ditra into the shower (presloped) area throughout the bathroom. Then kerdi on the shower floor to the proper drain. Idk what your guys is doing.
You mean slope the floor with sleepers and ply?

There’s also a giant square chunk out of the floor with a pipe sticking up. I’d bet he’s not done.
Freestanding tub will go there.
