The design is so good. Speaking critically of the series the voice work and animation need more polish to shine but the character design is amazing. Hopefully the creator sticks continues working on projects because they're going to continue to improve and end up with something very great.
I mostly agree but I love the way the mouth moves when it talks, don’t change that a bit. The way it doesn’t synch up with what it’s saying at all and the way it stretches the face is perfectly offputting
The mouth movement, arm spin, motion tween in the window, and the voice (the entire voice) are the lacking areas in the video I think
stretching the mouth open and closed to make it talk (and all the other stuff) just breaks my immersion entirely and I laugh
The boiled one appeared in a TV broadcast during a date that I cannot remember nor can be bothered to check, anyone who was watching that broadcast would wake up in the morning paralysed and they could see the boiled one watching them at all times, their only method of communication was morse code, they would also hear “trumpets” every night when going to sleep.

Sorry if I jumpscared you with this post, but I feel like that kinda gets my point across. Being creepy of course doesn't make a design good on its own, but I feel like it's a very well-put-together design, and this guy has also managed to unsettle me more than any other horror creature I've seen recently. The fact that he looks like he's wearing a large coat goes along with the religious theming of the video and I also like how he looks kind of refined while also being fleshy and abominable. It's a minor detail, but I think the tiny "spikes" pointing out of his body make him look a lot creepier and more malformed or demonic
I wonder what's his story. Where such a creature could even come from? The name "the boiled one" sudgests that he was once a human, but undervent some sort of horrific process that turned him into this

There are two main theories about his identity, the first one being that he’s a being that acts as a herald of the apocalypse. The second is that he is the reincarnation of Mutsuhiro Watanabe, a Japanese soldier who was infamous for how he tortured POWs. This theory is based on the fact that the Watanabe bird is mentioned in one part of the video, and the fact that one of The Boiled One’s victims is named Zamperini, which is the name of one of the survivors of Watanabe’s torture
It’s really good but I feel like it’s oddly overhyped, idk if it’s just me I really like analogue horror but compared to others I’ve watched this just feels the same as them, don’t get me wrong though I love the fact that it’s got a proper design not many do or it’s just an odd picture of a person.
