God bless The Enclave 🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅

MisterVictor13

But in this one, he *did* kill kids or was implied to.

infinitymanboi

Well they WERE bullying the ugly kid and with Jason’s origin you can put two and two together and see he WONT tolerate that crap

MisterVictor13

He also killed innocent kids in that comic.

Whateverwillido2

Jason was always my favorite outta the big horror icons, but this makes him even more my favorite

stipendAwarded

For context, he helped in Valeria’s delivery on the condition that he be the one to name her.

SonicSpiderRanger10

Why does she consider him her uncle? She knows he and her family are enemies, right?

ImLikeReallyStoned

Yeah, but he’s always care for her and looked out for her, and she grew attached to him since she was a child, as he genuinely enjoyed being around her when she was a kid.

FLUFFBOX_121703

I like it when villains are good with kids, it’s nice :)

Background_Desk_3001

Dr Doom is the best villain, and I love him so much. He can be such a sweet guy, but will do anything to spite Reed, like being the godfather of his daughter

LG3V

She had a minor appearance at the end in the murder of sonic the hedgehog, so technically that was an appearance

Smileyface8156

Even some of the heroes get his begrudging respect. In Frontiers (easily one of his most nuanced/sympathetic portrayals, but still), he calls Tails “Young Prower” and says Tails has loads of potential. Amy is described as clever and tenacious and he says she’s come a long way since they first met. He even calls Sonic’s speed impressive for an organic creature.

![gif](giphy|mvJFUbAcWdIBy) Jessie Pinkman (Breaking Bad)

An_Dog_

Is Jesse really an antagonist though? He’s the deuteragonist I’d say. And even from the perspective of Walter as the protagonist, Jesse is never really the main villain

Heretic-Jefe

You could argue that Jesse is the child the antagonist/villain (Walt) cares a great deal about.

An_Dog_

Very true. I thought the comment was referring to Jesse’s soft spot for kids, but Walt’s soft spot for Jesse is a good example. The relationship is interesting compared to the others because it’s hard to tell how much is genuine love vs manipulation from walt

Heretic-Jefe

The original probably was, Jesse is definitely a bit of a villain but his desire for normalcy and his love for people like Brock and Jane is genuine. I did a recent re-watch and you're absolutely right, he does fluctuate between genuine love and manipulation. Even hatred when Hank ends up meeting the white power folks. But he also protects him multiple times from people who would be just fine removing Jesse altogether. Almost like it's a "he's mine and I love him so I'm the only one allowed to play with him", and Walt is undeniably selfish.

Th3_3agl3

![gif](giphy|h3oVuFhMh6dZbAXigo|downsized) At least there’s Ryan.

GsoKobra12

Ehh…I am going to put a pin in that for now. We did see him swear on Ryan that he wouldn’t kill that one Vought employee then immediately went back on it. And in the most recent episode it seems like he’s manipulating Ryan’s sense of justice and actually helping people to twist it around into making him evil

ChibzyDaze

I think Homelander was crossing his fingers in that scene behind his back but yeah, I agree with you lol

ReapingKing

Interesting. >!Did Homelander realize he genuinely cared for Ryan and do better, or did he just realize how to manipulate him the way he was manipulated?!<

GsoKobra12

Hmm…I think the second one seems more likely. We did see Homelander talking about the Seven becoming like gods to the people of Earth, and he and Sage were talking about starting civil warfare among the people and coming in and stopping it. Notice how Homelander encouraged Ryan to have that one intern(?) hit the director over and over again. Is that not a small scale version of Homelander and Sage’s plan?

Revan0315

He only cares about Ryan insofar as he helps his ego

jackaboy1_2

I think he does genuinely care about Ryan, he’s just a pure evil mf who doesn’t know how to be a dad

wendigoblin

Tbh I don't think he actually cares about Ryan. I think if Ryan went against him enough (and no one can blackmail Homelander to make him fuck off) he'd pop him like a grape. (I haven't started s4 though so maybe I'm wrong!)

WeNeedHRTHere

He doesnt really care about Ryan, he cares about himself. He wants Ryan to be an extension of himself instead of caring about who he is as an individual He also took away Ryan's milkshake that one time, which is the most evil thing he's ever done

Active-Donkey5466

Nah. That’s only Ryan and only because he’s his son. Remember when there was this teen that wanted to jump off and kill herself and he was just so mad that in the end she went back on it and he forced her?

Bit of a weird example because he's such a criminally underused character but he's essentially this homicidal cyborg who unlike pretty much every other cyberman willingly volunteered for the process of being converted from his original human form; only for it to fail and his conversion be left incomplete. As such he tries to embody what it is to be a cyberman by acting like an emotionless, cold and calculating machine but this is clearly not the case as their are plenty of times his emotions are on clear display. Something he's self aware about yet still tries to reject. The most interesting example being in his debut episode when Ashad discovers a crying baby which had been hidden to keep it safe. Completely alone with nothing to stop him it's expected that The Lone Cyberman will kill or abduct the child. However, instead he delicately picks up the baby and rocks it gently to sleep before putting it back where he found it before moving on. No one else sees this but they did hear the baby cry and then abruptly stop so assume the worst. As such, upon finding out Ashad hadn't harmed the baby the doctor tries to use this appeal to his humanity and sense of mercy, only for him to brush her off and dispassionately say that "it wasn't a threat". Of course, this convinces the doctor but not the viewer since he clearly acted in a very paternal manner towards the child. Unfortunately, this hasn't really been explored any further since Ashad was unceremoniously killed a few episodes later. However, this is Doctor Who we're talking about so hopefully a future writer might decide to bring him back and develop this very unusual cyberman further.

I love how Bowser can easily go from fairly intimidating to incredibly fit for a marketable plushie due to sheer cuteness. Usually when placed near Bowser Junior, but not exclusively. He's a treasure.

Jason Todd the Red Hood specifically in the movie under the red hood he threatened to murder his new associates if they even thought about dealing drugs to kids and he most definitely did that since what he saw as a child

Surprised no one here has mentioned Garou from OPM, I don’t think it’s been animated yet but in the manga he forms a connection with a kid and helps him out

The bite of 87 would like to speak with you

Rykerthebest78563

Many believe the Bite of 87 to have actually been an attack on an adult. FNAF 2 establishes the animatronics' warmness towards children, so it'd be a bit weird for the animatronics to do a total 180 and attack a kid in the same game where that is established.

Riddick. He stands up for Jack and saves her in Pitch Black, and it's mentioned in canon thst John's lured him out by executing children unless he surrendered himself. Clearly his childhood was nightmarish.
