Been one of the heroes ever since then but I think it still counts.
Super Sonic is invincible during gameplay (unless you, like walk into a pit or get crushed), but in the opening cutscenes of Sonic 3 Knuckles punches Super Sonic so hard that he loses the Chaos Emeralds.
Pretty much what the other dude said. Super Sonic is a transformation that makes Sonic invincible to any kind of damage. But Knuckles knocks that power out of him like nothing, which at the time was a feat not even Dr. Eggman, the main villain of the series, could do.

He's such a good "antagonist" with good intentions. He even tells Nani that he knows she's trying to take care of Lilo but the best thing might be for Lilo to be placed somewhere else. I don't think he even blames Nani when he talks to her during that conversation.
Bubbles definitely recognized Nani was trying. It's just that her "trying" was still falling well short of the standards that it is his job to uphold, but he still seems sympathetic to their situation, and it's clear he DOESN'T want to separate them even if his job may require it.
Jokes about his demeanor and past aside ("Have you killed anyone?" "We're getting off the subject."), Bubbles is genuinely how CPS agents should act - firm, yet compassionate and understanding.
He arguably shouldn't give Nani more chances, but he understands it's tough for her.
There's also the fact that he's in the CIA.
He could've had practically any job in the whole world, and he chose one where he helps children.

Once he saw that Nani was herself not much more than a kid over her head, he wanted them split because he genuinely thought it’d be best for both of them
True, but at the same time, he does recognize Nani is an older sister trying to take care of her younger sister and is willing to give her a few chances to prove she can be Lilo's guardian. He's firm yet understanding.
He did apologize before almost taking Lilo away because there's little Nani can do to defend a destroyed house and leaving Lilo home alone. He doesn't enjoy separating them; he has a job to do and Nani hasn't proven herself from his perspective.
That and there's just no coming back after you find out she left an elementary school aged child home alone and comes home to the house being demolished and on fire (even if it wasn't actually Lilos fault).

Eh, suspension of disbelief says the lilliputians are fine, during all the fighting them and their boat got blown out of the factory and back onto the high seas (a small pond).
The ship in a bottle was a real shrunken down ship, crew included, so by breaking the bottle, and assuming there were no survivors, Goldilocks would be responsible for an entire crews death, if technically not intentional.
This is might be an unpopular opinion but I will say it. I loved Goldi and her family the most among all the antagonists of the film. Jack Horner is hilarliously evil and Death is pretty terrifying, but idk I just really love that silly crime family the most. Especially Goldi.

Well in a story telling perspective, all an antagonist is, is the person who comes into conflict with the protagonists, which would be Mordecai and Rigby.
The only explicitly evil incarnation of Godzilla is the version from GMK (*Godzilla, Mothra & King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack*), as that version was essentially a revenant created by ghosts to punish Japan for its war crimes in WW2. It's the only version of the character that explicitly goes out of its way to harm innocent people, to the point that its demise was brought about by its desire to kill some random humans (it tried to atomic breath them after a serious injury and wound up blowing itself apart).
Even the version of Godzilla seen in *Minus One*, which is heavily inspired by GMK, is still ultimately an animal acting on territorial instincts.
On the other hand there's GMK Godzilla who was just evil as fuuuuck. He was so evil that King Ghidra was a good guy.

In both cases he is not evil anyways, on one side Godzilla is actually good, kinda, he protects earth from other threats but in some cases the humans are the threat for the planet, he also doesn't care about other casualties while fighting other kaijus so he is helpful as logn as you don't get in his way.
Shin Godzilla is just an agonizing mass of detruction that doesn't understand what is going on and just wants to die.
To be fair, Bowser does have his moments to shine, especially when it comes to being a father.

Bowser is a good father.
But King Dedede is straight-up a good king, who will do anything to protect his subjects, despite his gluttony getting in the way every once in a while.
If ravenous gluttony makes you a villain, Kirby is in the same boat as him.
Bowser's also a good king. He treats his subjects well and is only harsh on them when they're slacking off for no reason. There are moments where he confronts some minions for running off, but after seeing them living better lives and learning their reasons, he lets them go on with the lives they want to live and doesn't force them to come back. At least that's what he's like in the games. In the movie he's just a dick lol
I really want the next Kirby game to develop DeDeDe’s character even more. I also want them to speak words so I can learn more about DDD, Meta Knight, and other characters in the series who have lore but not that much lore in game

Then there was Spectacular Spider-Man, the Rhino had him by his shirt, JJ sees Peter and starts stalling while gesturing Parker to get out of their.
A harsh boss? Yes. But he could have a key to the Spiderverse headquarters right on his desk and know about it. And he'd testify in court room of Spider-Man's villians it's some fancy paperweight from Japan.
I always liked that about J. Jonah Jameson. He hates Spider-Man, and that's basically it.
It's been hard on Peter and he has let what the Bugle says gets to him in some cases (as we see in Spider-Man 2 or all the other adaptations where he tries to defend Spider-Man) but he does what's right because it's the right thing to do. In a weird sort of way, JJ pushes him to be better.
He can be harsh on Peter himself, but he does care about him and his workers. As we see in the many examples given. He's not always open about it.
And from what I've heard, in some more recent cases, he does give up hating Spider-Man upon learning Peter is the man behind the mask.
Yeah, JJJ is a tough case, depending on both the continuity, and at what point in the timeline we’re at within each continuity. In some places, he hates Spider-Man until he learns his identity. In other timelines he hates Parker after learning his identity (og Civil War, IIRC).
Heck, at one point, in one continuity where Spidey was accepted into the Avengers, they asked JJJ to stop his smear campaign in exchange for exclusive rights to their stories. Literally “Just stop the bullshit and we’ll help your business.”
Jonah agrees while at the table, and the next day publishes an article claiming he was being coerced by the Avengers, and is being “silenced” from speaking the truth.
We need to be very specific with the JJJ we’re talking about lol.
That's why I said in some more recent cases.
I prefer when he gives up, or at least lightens up on how hard he is on Spider-Man after learning his identity. It seems preferable, especially when he's portrayed as having a soft spot for Peter.
Sounds not bad. I love when writers emphasize at first glance it's not hard to see why he's seen as a huge jerk, but underneath it is someone who holds integrity and care for others.

While he isn’t in the right, not by a decently long shot, he’s not outright evil
He is, but on a fundamental level his fall into the Dark Side was born from the same fear of losing a loved one that brought down Anakin Skywalker.
That doesn't excuse or condone his actions in any way, but it's at least understandable WHY he did what he did, even if he was entirely wrong for it.
No this guy is definitely in evil territory, the amount of backstabbing and destruction this guy does is unforgivable.

He's absolutely pulling some bullshit though. No way in hell was Miles any sort of "original anomaly" when Miguel literally went and *lived as* another version of himself for presumably years.
Not to mention that Miguel has no canon events. He was never bitten by a radioactive spider (he got his powers through gene therapy), he had no Uncle Ben moment (he actually learns the “great power, great responsibility” line from Peter during their first crossover), and barely shares any powers with other Spider-People.
Plus the event he supposedly interrupted that cause that one universe to collapse made no sense. What event in his alternate self's life did he disrupt, after his alternate self was dead?

Ken from the Barbie movie. He is technically the villain, but he isn't evil. He's just a very insecure, love-starved and airheaded guy who was introduced to some radical ideas about gender too suddenly for his own good.
And Regina George from the og Mean Girls movie. Yeah, she's pretty mean and manipulative, but there are worse bullies in other media I've seen. I even found myself feeling bad for her at certain parts of the movie bc at the end of the day, she is as troubled as a lot of the other teenage girl characters in the movie.
Tbh I don't think of Ken as an antagonist. The movie is more Person vs Society than Person vs Person. Both Ken and Barbie are victims of the stereotypes and character tropes placed on them. In the end Barbie doesn't win because she defeats Ken, she wins because she helps reform what is expected of both Ken's and Barbies.

Well the whole reason he has heralds is so they can go to populated planets that he plans to eat and warn the residents of the impending destruction so they have time to gtfo.

P03 (That robot) wanted to spread the game for the entire internet to see , which also includes the Old_Data , which is the thing that actually allowed any of the scrybes to gain full control of the game , that includes the Karnofal Code , which is something used to activate a doomsday device. plus he was an asshole.
Grimora (The lady , who also was the stinkbug) while was definitely the kindest of the scrybes , wanted to get Old_Data for the sake of deleting everything in Inscrytpion for the sake of herself , but the Old_Data itself can't be deleted. So it would be very much deleting everything for the sake of herself , except the thing that houses the code for a doomday device.
And for Magnificus (the wizard , who used to be the stunted wolf) , he was the next best scrybe for the Old_Data to be the holder of , since his only goal is to make his pupils/creations better by constantly torturing them , and has no issue of being stuck in the game. Tho he doesn't seem to care about actually taking control of Inscryption.
Meanwhile Leshy just wants to have a good game (which he accomplished both in universe and in our world) , and also treats with his henchmen with respect.
I dunno about that one, Doof's alternate version from the second dimension was basically a dictator, and main Doof sided with him at first (and would've done the same thing in the main dimension)
However, after that, it is shown that he now more has an interest in humiliating his younger brother than I’m actually taking over anything bigger than his penthouse.

Katakuri wasn't inherently evil, his fight with Luffy was purely one of beliefs, and tried to keep it honorable even when his siblings tried to sabotage, harming himself just to make the fight equal when they shot Luffy's leg. Man even defended his sister when she was getting bullied, even if he did end up killing said bullies.

Despite how hard the director tried to convince us he’s “like The Joker” all this guy did was be a normal animal and do normal animal things.
The same is true of the T. rex and most other meat eating dinosaurs in the franchise bar the hybrids, but I wanted to bring up Giga specifically because I think he was done HELLA dirty by being gruesomely killed off for really no reason, and then the movie treats it as some kind of grand triumph with victorious music and the T. rex doing a dramatic roar. All because the Giga was just trying to survive and defend his territory? That’s bull, Giga deserved so much better.
He really was only the antagonist when he was being manipulated and brainwashed. Depressing af life but he wants what’s best for everyone. He also needs a friend to help him through his trauma

Well in a story telling perspective, all an antagonist is, is the person who comes into conflict with the protagonists, which would be Mordecai and Rigby.
He isn't an overarching antagonist but he is the antagonist in certain episodes, so he could still count
 Depending on the incarnation, Godzilla is either just an animal in pain, or his goals are beyond your understanding.
The only explicitly evil incarnation of Godzilla is the version from GMK (*Godzilla, Mothra & King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack*), as that version was essentially a revenant created by ghosts to punish Japan for its war crimes in WW2. It's the only version of the character that explicitly goes out of its way to harm innocent people, to the point that its demise was brought about by its desire to kill some random humans (it tried to atomic breath them after a serious injury and wound up blowing itself apart). Even the version of Godzilla seen in *Minus One*, which is heavily inspired by GMK, is still ultimately an animal acting on territorial instincts.
Not to mention Minus One got pretty ticked off after being horribly burned and mutated by a nuclear bomb, so his rampage was pretty understandable.

Is a force of nature inherently evil? That’s the question, in this case it’s no.
In both cases he is not evil anyways, on one side Godzilla is actually good, kinda, he protects earth from other threats but in some cases the humans are the threat for the planet, he also doesn't care about other casualties while fighting other kaijus so he is helpful as logn as you don't get in his way. Shin Godzilla is just an agonizing mass of detruction that doesn't understand what is going on and just wants to die.

Bowser is a good father. But King Dedede is straight-up a good king, who will do anything to protect his subjects, despite his gluttony getting in the way every once in a while. If ravenous gluttony makes you a villain, Kirby is in the same boat as him.
Bowser's also a good king. He treats his subjects well and is only harsh on them when they're slacking off for no reason. There are moments where he confronts some minions for running off, but after seeing them living better lives and learning their reasons, he lets them go on with the lives they want to live and doesn't force them to come back. At least that's what he's like in the games. In the movie he's just a dick lol
I really want the next Kirby game to develop DeDeDe’s character even more. I also want them to speak words so I can learn more about DDD, Meta Knight, and other characters in the series who have lore but not that much lore in game

Even when physically threatened by Green Goblin he doesn't give Peter up as the photographer who took the pictures of Spider-Man.
Could've simply said Parker and gave the Goblin his address. But JJJ lied right off the bat, straight faced. Then there was Spectacular Spider-Man, the Rhino had him by his shirt, JJ sees Peter and starts stalling while gesturing Parker to get out of their. A harsh boss? Yes. But he could have a key to the Spiderverse headquarters right on his desk and know about it. And he'd testify in court room of Spider-Man's villians it's some fancy paperweight from Japan.
I always liked that about J. Jonah Jameson. He hates Spider-Man, and that's basically it. It's been hard on Peter and he has let what the Bugle says gets to him in some cases (as we see in Spider-Man 2 or all the other adaptations where he tries to defend Spider-Man) but he does what's right because it's the right thing to do. In a weird sort of way, JJ pushes him to be better. He can be harsh on Peter himself, but he does care about him and his workers. As we see in the many examples given. He's not always open about it. And from what I've heard, in some more recent cases, he does give up hating Spider-Man upon learning Peter is the man behind the mask.
Yeah, JJJ is a tough case, depending on both the continuity, and at what point in the timeline we’re at within each continuity. In some places, he hates Spider-Man until he learns his identity. In other timelines he hates Parker after learning his identity (og Civil War, IIRC). Heck, at one point, in one continuity where Spidey was accepted into the Avengers, they asked JJJ to stop his smear campaign in exchange for exclusive rights to their stories. Literally “Just stop the bullshit and we’ll help your business.” Jonah agrees while at the table, and the next day publishes an article claiming he was being coerced by the Avengers, and is being “silenced” from speaking the truth. We need to be very specific with the JJJ we’re talking about lol.
That's why I said in some more recent cases. I prefer when he gives up, or at least lightens up on how hard he is on Spider-Man after learning his identity. It seems preferable, especially when he's portrayed as having a soft spot for Peter.

He's pretty damn close to being evil, though.
He is, but on a fundamental level his fall into the Dark Side was born from the same fear of losing a loved one that brought down Anakin Skywalker. That doesn't excuse or condone his actions in any way, but it's at least understandable WHY he did what he did, even if he was entirely wrong for it.
No this guy is definitely in evil territory, the amount of backstabbing and destruction this guy does is unforgivable. I know it was to protect his family but that’s what he thinks in his head and he doesn’t realise he is harming his daughter both physically and mentally. This guy is evil he just doesn’t acknowledge it.

He's absolutely pulling some bullshit though. No way in hell was Miles any sort of "original anomaly" when Miguel literally went and *lived as* another version of himself for presumably years.
Not to mention that Miguel has no canon events. He was never bitten by a radioactive spider (he got his powers through gene therapy), he had no Uncle Ben moment (he actually learns the “great power, great responsibility” line from Peter during their first crossover), and barely shares any powers with other Spider-People.

Goofy in the Goofy Movie
 Ken from the Barbie movie. He is technically the villain, but he isn't evil. He's just a very insecure, love-starved and airheaded guy who was introduced to some radical ideas about gender too suddenly for his own good.
 And Regina George from the og Mean Girls movie. Yeah, she's pretty mean and manipulative, but there are worse bullies in other media I've seen. I even found myself feeling bad for her at certain parts of the movie bc at the end of the day, she is as troubled as a lot of the other teenage girl characters in the movie.

I would argue a villian's motivations are evil. I feel he's more of an antagonist who is opposed to Barbie but isn't motivated by evil.
Tbh I don't think of Ken as an antagonist. The movie is more Person vs Society than Person vs Person. Both Ken and Barbie are victims of the stereotypes and character tropes placed on them. In the end Barbie doesn't win because she defeats Ken, she wins because she helps reform what is expected of both Ken's and Barbies.

Maybe , Leshy isn't exactly a hero but he was the best choice for taking over Inscryption. P03 (That robot) wanted to spread the game for the entire internet to see , which also includes the Old_Data , which is the thing that actually allowed any of the scrybes to gain full control of the game , that includes the Karnofal Code , which is something used to activate a doomsday device. plus he was an asshole. Grimora (The lady , who also was the stinkbug) while was definitely the kindest of the scrybes , wanted to get Old_Data for the sake of deleting everything in Inscrytpion for the sake of herself , but the Old_Data itself can't be deleted. So it would be very much deleting everything for the sake of herself , except the thing that houses the code for a doomday device. And for Magnificus (the wizard , who used to be the stunted wolf) , he was the next best scrybe for the Old_Data to be the holder of , since his only goal is to make his pupils/creations better by constantly torturing them , and has no issue of being stuck in the game. Tho he doesn't seem to care about actually taking control of Inscryption. Meanwhile Leshy just wants to have a good game (which he accomplished both in universe and in our world) , and also treats with his henchmen with respect.
I dunno about that one, Doof's alternate version from the second dimension was basically a dictator, and main Doof sided with him at first (and would've done the same thing in the main dimension)
However, after that, it is shown that he now more has an interest in humiliating his younger brother than I’m actually taking over anything bigger than his penthouse.

Why is nobody mentioning Asgore here yet? I’d post a picture of him if I knew how to, but he’s the perfect example of an antagonist that’s not evil. Mind you, he does a couple of regrettable things (the problems of which are even pointed out to him in one of Undertale’s endings), but he’s only trying to do the best he can for his people and you can tell he’s not happy to fight you in the slightest.

The same is true of the T. rex and most other meat eating dinosaurs in the franchise bar the hybrids, but I wanted to bring up Giga specifically because I think he was done HELLA dirty by being gruesomely killed off for really no reason, and then the movie treats it as some kind of grand triumph with victorious music and the T. rex doing a dramatic roar. All because the Giga was just trying to survive and defend his territory? That’s bull, Giga deserved so much better.
I had to explain to my daughter why Anxiety wasn’t the villain. It was…difficult for me.
