Thanks! It's a blast to drive and it feels pretty quick...you also don't even hear it even when you're standing outside of it while it idles. My Celsior makes more noise.
They're easy to get. Many for sale.
They're not rare cars.
Edit: seriously, there are less Toyota Cynos' for sale than centuries despite the cynos having vastly higher production numbers and being a cheaper car of the same age. At any time theres like 20 G50's for sale. Pretty sure the century has more for sale than similar year landcruisers. I will post auction pages later.
They are easier had than triple locked rovers or hiluxes.
Ive driven one, and honestly while they are fantastic they arent much better than the celsior to justify the difference in maintenance costs and headaches. Ill just drive the celsior with all the same options.
I own one you scrote.
I'm not saying they're bad, just pointing out that it's not a hard car to find.

They control your seat, stereo and climate control. You have heated, reclining and massaging rear seats. This car was ahead of its time when you consider what the competition was back in '97. Hell I thought my Mom's first gen X5 was a spaceship when I was growing up...this thing though is on another level.
There’s a teen in my area whose mom bought them one just like this; saw it and the girl who owned it at my local import shop a few months ago. Couldn’t believe it. Gave me an inkling of hope for humanity
Where I'm at, Zoomers love these right hand drive cars. I'm guessing it's because they're just different from what they're used to seeing. Or it's a TikTok car IRL.
I’m so used to the ones I worked with at a school a couple years ago being against driving that it didn’t occur to me that the ones that *do* drive would have particular likes, just as we all did growing up. Interesting!
Weird thing, but there’s a place in the middle of nowhere in Christiansburg, VA that has probably three dozen or so Centuries available at any given time.
Nah, this specific one was sold with a Yakuza boss pre-loaded in the back seat for ease of intimidation. You gotta wear the sunglasses included with the car, step out and open up the rear door, and he'll come strolling out.
He then walks a few steps ahead of you until you load him back in the car, and he'll do things that you want to do, but are either too nervous or even downright scared to do yourself, such as telling the waiter you ordered mashed potatoes, not corn.
You load your Personal Boss® back up by opening the door and standing off to the side, and once you break line-of-sight with him, he disappears into wherever he came from.

Dude 8k for a v12 is a steal. I remember when I was on the auctions all I was finding was shitbox v8s.
Almost got this laurel with a full cage and sr until I settled on my clean 80k mile markII. I still sorta wish I would've won the laurel but I think registering the laurel would've been impossible in Japan.
Believe it or not, the spark plugs are IS300/2J spark plugs and the brakes are from an LS400 so getting the basic parts to keep it on the road is actually pretty easy.
Now you just need to hire a driver for the full experience!!
Beautiful and would love to see more interior pictures ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|heart_eyes)
Do they remove for cleaning? #1 love the car, #2 super impressed how clean they are given the age... white fabric has a tendency to yellow or fade over time
Tell that to the ass who left my steering wheel crooked. He was the guy everyone told me to go to. Can I get an alignment on a jdm car in Florida will

That's awesome!
I always had this thought in my mind however, what's it like trying to find parts for this thing. Since it was in Japan only and the only V12 Toyota ever made.
Are they hard to find?
That was 100% a cab in Japan IMO, most old timey cabs look like that. Can you open the passenger door from the front with a handle? I have not seen these models the last time I was there this year, they might be on their way out now.
What a fucking find

Mmm I misunderstood
Jesus what do all the buttons on the arm rest do? More on there than a space shuttle.

Duncan Imports?
Yes. Incredible place to visit if you’re ever in the area. So many incredible vehicles.
There's a place in Rustburg, VA that has them all the time, and many others. Driver Motorsports.
It's crazy how the price jumped as soon as American money came in. A taxi spec 4 speed is now the same price as a nice 6 speed
does it come with a Yakuza application? 😂

I love the grandma trim!
How much and how did you find?
Just under $8000 and I got it through an auction in Japan just like my other cars.
So what auction site because I really want a Sera that isn’t $20,000.
[These guys :) ](https://www.japancardirect.com/) I got my Celsior and HiAce from them too.
Good luck, Seras are quite a bit more rare than centuries. I've seen a couple of rusty autos as low as 6k USD.

Do you have website for auction?
[Here you go :)](https://www.japancardirect.com/)
This is very high on my list of JDM cars I would love to have. Top 5, easily. Congrats on a gorgeous new ride!
How much does it cost to insure that?
I pay about 240USD a year for mine.
Congrats! Love these things, keeping it stock?
Yeah. It's already pretty VIP as is and the stock suspension is way too nice to change out.
Are you gonna fix the cracking clearcoat on the wheels?
And those 7 sweet layers of paint....
Happy cake day!
Thanks :D
how do you get parts bro these cars arent common even in japan.

Parts still available from toyota, people in japan still dismantling them. One just got posted on Thursday complete '99 being dismantled.
Grandma decorated the interior :-)
The lace is so pretty omg
A pwrson of culture, I see. I'd fucking love a Century.
I rode in a couple taxis just like this in Japan last month! Nice and comfy cars.
That’s pimp as hell.
Now you just need to hire a driver for the full experience!! Beautiful and would love to see more interior pictures ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|heart_eyes)
Such a sweet ride
Are the doilies & window shades a factory option? Assumed
Yes, two versions of seat covers and window curtains were none/rear/rear+sides.
Do they remove for cleaning? #1 love the car, #2 super impressed how clean they are given the age... white fabric has a tendency to yellow or fade over time
The seat covers yes. The curtains, not sure. I think the sides are easy but the rear is a whole ass mission.
When you can find who can do an alignment in Florida let me know please .
Suspension is ls400 based, nothing different to any other double wishbone allignment.
Tell that to the ass who left my steering wheel crooked. He was the guy everyone told me to go to. Can I get an alignment on a jdm car in Florida will Travel
What’s with the doilies in the interior? Is that factory issued?
Oh my god this is awesome

Some other similar Toyota, maybe, but not a Century. You’d never see a Century as a taxi.
You are right, that's the Toyota Crown Comfort
bad fucking ass, man. well done
That's so fucking cool bro
One of my dream vehicles!! Looks gorgeous!
💎💎💎
Now that’s something worth getting for JDM imports, especially when they still got that V12
Holy shit that's insane. Dm me some more photos bro!
My luck would never let me get that find😭
This car fucks.
What a beauty 😍
