97 Reg Cab V6 5spd 4WD

neraklulz

This is the answer right here.

K2thJ

Mines a crew cab, but I'll let her know she's still winning the game.

MediocreAd9430

‘14 or ‘15. Those are two of the best taco years (least problems), also my preference is Gen 2.5. I like how they look

mountaina12345

2.5 Gen is absolutely gorgeous!

Financial_Log_8796

The one I have right now with 60k miles - cherry red 04 taco 3.4v6 4x4 5spd.

vicali

I would also go for a double cab first Gen. I miss having a little Toyota.

MeltBanana

The comments are basically confirming what we already know. 1st gen best gen.

just-dig-it-now

If I could figure out the terrible ride quality on mine I'd keep it for ages.

vaurapung

They have a great ride. If you made the ride more "quality" it would no longer be as capable. It's like saying corvettes have a terrible ride.

DJamPhishman

14 is the goat for durability imo

GTFOScience

14/15 are identical, no?

Over_Moose6433

The one I have now (2022 Lime Pro) or 1985 SR5 with the solid front axle.

xxmuntunustutunusxx

Man If I could just turn back time on my 89 pickup I'd be the happiest mofo on earth. I love that truck. It just needs a LOT of love. Got it from a dude for 1500 bucks in like 2019, put a water pump and drove it until last year. Radiator fan just blee up and killed the radiator, hoses, boxes, the motor needs a rebuild too. Might just go 5vze swap. I love it to death.

HoneyBadger-DGAF

‘85 wasn’t a Tacoma.

Over_Moose6433

Yeah man. I know that. Thanks for correcting me. Great add.

HoneyBadger-DGAF

Np, lots of folks confuse that one.

SomeGuy_GRM

Gotta be a 2015 TRD Pro. It's the Off-Road package with a 2 inch stock lift, plus some other things, in the best looking and most reliable year.

Secondstoryguy6969

1997 extended cab 5 speed standard with manual transfer case. I drive a 2019 now but wished I had just rebuilt the motor and continued driving the old one….

LimitNo6587

2002 . Msrp $11k. Don't need Nanny Tech package. Real men don't need crawl control. Maybe if your crawling the local mall parking lot and you trying to figure out if you need asphalt or cement. But here in Moab all I need is locker and low 4.

LuvGingers888

2002 base 4x4 regular cab well over $11k.

HelloImPierreMcGuire

I think I’d buy a 2015 OR in black. On the fence about MT vs auto. I have a 2018 OR MGM auto.

Tiptopoclock

80's Toyota pickup (I know not technically a Tacoma) 4 x 4, 22 RE with 5 MT

IamSofaKingDumb

2023 TRD Pro 6MT in Solar Octane Most people are gonna answer with the one they got unless they’ve had multiple…

JohnnyGFX

Just a new version of the one I have and in a different color. '99 Tacoma Reg Cab 2.7L "Deluxe" TRD package with 5spd 4WD. I have it in Sierra Beige, but I like the Imperial Jade, Horizon Blue, and Natural White better. It looks awesome in black too, but black gets too hot in the sun.

No-Exchange8035

I bought a 23 trd, I guess I had the money I'd get a pro.

ZoomToastem

I'd go back to my 92 pickup, manual, 4 cylinder, 2wd, bench seat and 35mpg on the highway.

ItemNo1053

02 Xtra Cab TRD Off Road 4x4 v6 5 speed Impulse Red. Had this truck, but an auto. Still kicking myself for getting rid of it. 05 X-Runner Speedway Blue. Always loved the way these looked.

taco_2325

Third gen sr5. I would have had it paid off a year sooner -OR ‘18, purchased CPO in ‘20.

Feisty-Equivalent927

Bout to🤙

YidArmy76er

I drive an 08, 4L, V6, 4WD and honestly I absolutely love it. I’m biased because it’s my first truck and my first experience of over landing, 4 wheeling and camping. Wouldn’t change it for the world! Ps. No rust body rust - fully aware of the recall for that model😂

HlGHSlDEROB

2015 TRD Sport crew cab long bed in white or black

TearPrestigious6352

14' single cab manual

Michael_Threat

2004 Xtra cab 6cyl. Silver black trim. My dream truck for years. Couldn't tell you why. I was hunting for one for months but couldn't find one with low enough miles to justify what people wanted for them, settled for 07 access cab which is still pretty cool

Comprehensive_Dog731

2012 Taco TRD OR DC SB.... because I have one and love it dearly lol. Always said the only way I'll get rid of mine is if I find the same one with lower miles lol

garcialesh710

2002 extended cab MT off road in lunar mist. Loved that truck before I rolled it.

Holnurhed

Love my 2008 Sport in Radiant Red. I put every single mile on this truck. It’s never let me down.

Zealousideal-Arm3289

2023 PRO or similar they Beast ❤️‍🔥🌮

bartolemew

I’d buy my ‘04 extended cab TRD V6 5spd in Lunar Mist Metallic again in a heartbeat.

Competitive_Box6422

2023’ Nightshade Limited…. I just fucking love this truck and I don’t want any other lololololol

ChaletJimmy

'24 sport 6'. The tech in everything else is extremely dated. Now that I have it, I could never go back.

zoey_will

'81 Trekker Edit: Just saw that the question said any Tacoma not any Toyota. :(

Equal-Buffalo2910

How dare you ! 2015 TRD pro 6spd inferno !!

ivebeenbetter2

I loved my 2009 Sport.

wood4536

Highest trim level of the 2.5 gen. Maybe that'd be the Baja T/X

P6ce

‘97 Regular cab PreRunner V6 w/ 4x4 in either lavender steel metallic or evergreen pearl

SquashedTarget

> ‘97 Regular cab PreRunner V6 w/ 4x4 The prerunner is a 4x2 with the 4x4 height/suspension. The first year of the prerunner in the US was also 1998.

P6ce

my mistake

thekickwasgood

24 Trailhunter because of all the room for activities

Firemanlouvier

I thought they are small as heck. At least the back seat...

IamSofaKingDumb

Get your mind out of the gutter dude
