damn commie game forcing me to deal with people living in filthy dense buildings instead of filling half the map with homes housing 0.5 person on average!!!
Yeah. You can disable the warning too (game config file I believe is the only way). You'll miss out on the growth bonus from private connections, but hey, no private intercity traffic to worry about!
People will generally use the quickest option to get where they need to go. If no car route is possible, their only option is public transport. They don't otherwise care. It's not like they *really* want to use their car and that's why they're driving. It's because in their judgment it's the quickest way. Remove the option entirely and it's not the quickest way anymore. x)
As a STL native I can tell you that you are missing the Mississippi River for bulk transport!
Good job making it an interstate nightmare however!

Idk how this popped in my feed, but I've never heard of this game. I'm a huge cities skylines Stan. How would you say this game stacks up against that one?
its not about zone planning in the first place and also not about city logistics, its a transport simulation like transport tycoon. you have usually 10 or more cities. you dont care about city infrastructure besides public Transport and goods
Personally I love trains and that's what transport fever does really well and it's really cool that unlike in cities skylines you start in 1850 and progress to the modern era. You can kind of play it like a city builder you just have almost no control in zoning and don't have to worry about city services infrastructure ect which can be a downside/upside. I'd also add transport fever graphics are a lot better and it's easy to get lost for hours just riding ur trains instead of actually building. Creating roads is easy and not clunky like cs.
Transport Fever is a transport focused game with a little bit of city planning on the side. Cities Skylines is a city building/planning game with a bit (more) of transport on the side.
That's fair. I appreciate the feedback. I felt that asking for actual user feedback was better than searching Google. The concept seems pretty cool, so ima check it out.
Not realistic! To much public transport!
Got me there 😂
Exactly! I should be stranded in the middle of a residential area and sacrifice half of my afternoon commuting to/from my activity for the day!

I think St. Louis actually does have at least amtrack and quite a few busses so this one may be accurate.
[They used to have a great streetcar system.](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Streetcars_in_St._Louis)
Delete a few random sections of the road. Those important thoroughfares should be under construction for 2-3 years.
Good point!
While we are at it, a few highway sections need to drop to one lane periodically to make traffic suck.
Sounds like Germany to me
This reminded me that i always neglect highways in tf2... What are those for again?
Same! Why make people use cars when you can profit 100% by making them use public transport
Plus i like the unpaved country roads.
True. It mostly is just for aesthetic purposes, not much functionality.

Basically, yes

The good ending of capitalism and public transport!
Botched?? Bro have you seen our cities
Botched is saying it nice! There isn't 3 railroads slicing though downtown. With a brokedown 4000m train blocking half the city
* Steam: `F12` * Windows: `Win + PrtScrn` * ` --> Documents\Pictures\Screenshots` * Windows Snip Tool: `Win + Shift + S`
A little technical, I’m very much a noob. But I’ll try
No more technical than taking a picture with your phone and uploading that.
Pressing the F12 key on your keyboard is "a little technical"?
It’s a transport fever 2 subreddit page, kind of an off topic discussion.
It's a relevant discussion in any place where phone screenshots are posted.
Apologies for my lack of oversight, I took the suggestion into consideration.

Thanks!
That’s not too far off honestly, it’s just small!
/r/screenshotsarehard
It will be more real if every other block was a massive parking 🥲
Totally yay 🤣
BOTCHED??? Brother, this is perfect! (although St. Louis might not be the best name; you're missing a very big river)
Thanks 😂 didn’t pick the name, the game does it but you can change it.
Needs more lanes

Wait I thought this was just a Google maps view of St. Louis?
😅
You had the right idea! just needs to be scaled bigger
I like the city/county divide. Very realistic!
Needs massive stores and Parking Lots! Lots of Lots!
that really puts it into perspective how ridiculous american cities are designed
My favorite sim game. Wish they would keep inventing more to add to this game.

Cities skylines has an add-on that covers transportation, but I'm sure not as detailed as this game is. Ima check it out. Thanks!
Is this addon for cs2? whats the name?
Nahh, I wish. I haven't even played cs2 yet because of all the negative buzz around it, but they have it for cs1

As much as some people play it like a city builder, it really isn't. It's a transport tycoon game. So a direct comparison is kind of pointless.

The concept is very cool.
