I’m not a trucker but I’ve been here. Pretend like you’re digging a hole where you want them to start digging and pressing. 60% of the time it works every time
Yeah, my dog is pretty bad at this, fortunately he's such a spaz that I can just walk a couple laps around the truck and him trying to keep an eye on me means he will eventually step on the window switch. It's quite reliable honestly. Annoying when I come back to my mirrors all messed up though.
My Cat did this to me, at the steel mill waiting for a coil. tappity tap on the window tryna get her to step on the button again. gets bored curls up on the seat. tappity tap on the other side. she bounds across and dances around the button without stepping on it. gets bored curls up on the seat. repeat.
a coworker was nearby and stopped to let me use his key that all our trucks shared.
my shepherd locked me out of my truck one time. going around the truckstop asking different drivers to try their key on my door made me stick a spare in a magbox to my frame and a second spare in my wallet so it never happens again. hope this has been a learning experience for you too lol
"You're gonna be in trouble when I get inside the truck"
\*Gets inside the truck\*
"HAHAHAHAHA YOU LITTLE SHIT" \*intensively pats goodboy"
super funny and wholesome, love it
i had this happen. however my dog couldn’t figure out i wanted her to hit the buttons. spent $160 iirc on a locksmith and was told company wouldn’t reimburse cuz i could’ve called them for the spare. my phone was in the truck.
Yeah, this is the reason why the controls on my passenger side are taped with cardboard. Dog knows she's not supposed to come over to the driver side. I usually have a good 30 minutes before she'll say fuck it they're probably dead and jump over. I always have my keys on me though.
I had a partner that had a miniature schnauzer that would do this. We'd take keys with us when we left the tractor (we had 3 keys, 1 for him, 1 for me and 1 for the truck).
The t680 has a safety release behind the bunk door, had to call a driver when my dog did this exact same thing in my 680 =/
I was enamored when I found that pup wandering at the TA in Deming new México.
After the first day i realized why they left her
Btw, why not pin your dog to something inside when you leave? You know by his collar/leash? So that he will be forced to stay in the bed area or something?
I locked myself out of my truck once, cause I'd forgotten to clip my keyring to myself that morning, and was able to coax my dog onto the unlock button. I've actually considered training him to step on that spot of the door on command, but haven't actually gone through with that yet
Lol!!! My dog did the exact opposite. I've came back to the truck a few times with the window rolled down or the doors unlocked. She just wants to invite everyone in. It got bad enough that I would pulled the panel and unplugged the switches 🤦
You leave your truck running and leave it unlocked ????? I don't think the dog is the stupid one here . Leave truck running and get out ,lock door with spare key in your pocket . Truck and dog will both be there when you return .
oh my god. give him the best dinner of his life HAHAHA
Buffet from the nearest Iron Skillet!
Now I'm sad. Iron skillet in Reno doesn't have a buffet anymore.
Did we forget he was the one who probably locked it in the first place

Other 40%? ……..locksmith?
AAA
Keep a spare in a lock box somewhere on your truck like the engine bay. I keep a lockbox in my apu.

Dog: “Look at me, I’m the captain now.”
And you WILL feed me!! Or I’m not letting you in!!
My dog did this to me twice in 2 months once at the fuel pump and in a reserve spot that I didn’t pay for 😂😂
Oof!🫠 I can feel the anxiety now
Only me that always has a second key clipped to their belt?. I suppose I could still get locked out if I got out of the truck not wearing any pants.
lol this is funny !!!!!
My dog would have gotten the window down and then winded it back up with my arm in it.
Imagine if this happens with a cat. You ain't never getting back inside!
Not even a locksmith gonna help.

I'm not a fan of hiding a key outside the truck but if I had a pet I would.

Lmao! Yup, every freakin time! Always double check for that spare key! 😂

Finally had to hang a spare key on my belt so I don’t forget it
spare key + zip tie + engine

Common, every day item that most drivers keep on hand at all times. Just Google it

I let my dog drive my truck.
Sweet! 👍🍺 to the Dogs!
Awwwww what a good boy 🫶🏿🥹

Treat deserved after this comeback 👏 👌 goob boy
Dog both simultaneously caused and fixed you almost needing a $400 popalock. 😂

This is really awesome, hope the owner made a real fuss of him for helping him out.
He opened it because it's pee time
Gotta have some ziptied to the engine somewhere or the cat walk

That was hella riveting...ending was epic

Aaaand this is why you keep a spare key in a mag box, taped under the cab, zip tired to the engine's dip stick, etc.
Laser pointer a dot on the switch. My dog can type angry letters to the DOT like this.
If we dont get an update with him eating a steak ill be angry lol
I just started trucking a bout a year ago. And I want this, to have my own truck and a co pilot dog driving in highways enjoying life, making money.
Had this happen. And fem every day on I tool a spare fob with me every time I got out of the truck. Never happened again.

Send it!
Half petting, half choking, couldn't decide 😂
the goodest of good bois.
This is the first time I have ever heard of this. I now officially will never take an animal, or at least a dog, with me in a truck.
Leave your pets at home

Please don't
Just a little bit
No, you *pet* the pupper, not molest the pupper.
