Oh def I hated Jesus before I was saved. He use to be the butt of my every joke. I used to call him the Kingbof the cartoon network. I would scream at street witnesses.
If he can save me he can save anyone.
Mine was born out of absolute hatred. I hated the church, God, Jesus, all of his followers. I know now I was demonically oppressed for years due to the things I was into back then. God has delivered me from so much and continues to restore what the locusts have eaten.
I was a huge fan of loljesus.com back in its heyday and now I get why it's wrong. Well, I'm still learning between right and wrong, but I understand the essence of its rudeness now after accepting Jesus as Lord.
When I see people blaspheme God now I only feel bad for them they are in utter darkness. I pray over them. I never get offended. God is big enough to handle his own image and the people who crap on him.
Absolutely
I grew up in a Christian home and I grew to hate and dislike God, I became an atheist, then I became a Satanist...
Then, there was that one night where I hated my life so much, so depressed, I was ready to take my own life, and out of sheer desperation and grief, I cried out to the Lord and I said to Him, "God, you got to show me that you exist and that you love me, because if you don't, I'm done, and I'm gone"...
I went to my closet, picked up a Dusty old Bible I had never read since my parents got it for me, which was 6 years ago at that time, I closed my eyes, I opened it, and I put my finger down wherever it lay, and I read what it said..
It was Isaiah 41:10
"Do not fear for I am with you,
do not be dismayed for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand"
I still get choked up to this very day thinking about that night
Peter knowing Jesus Christ denied him publicly three times but found redemption and forgiveness in Christ, so yes you can be forgiven pray, repent and ask God for forgiveness accept Jesus Christ as your saviour. It will be the best most important decision you’ve made in your life.
I was a militant atheist at one point who referred to God as "imaginary friend" "sky daddy" "just another myth" "maniacal" "not a God I would want to worship"...
I could go on, but I am not that person anymore. Thank God for Jesus and that amazing saving grace!
While hanging on a cross and being mocked by Roman soldiers that were actively killing Him Jesus said, “Forgive them, for they know not what they do…”
So yeah, you can be forgiven. God has always been forgiving when met with true repentance. Even in the Old Testament, when He was supposedly a genocidal maniac (according to atheists) He would routinely extend grace if met with a contrite heart.
YES!
I hope you will be encouraged and helped by taking a few minutes to read:
["Slavery for ALL"](https://app.box.com/s/qxfzmn8ep3jye1lm1grf76y1495i0qgw)
Yes, He forgave me, so He can (and will) forgive you. We do need to repent - which is agreeing with God that sin (such as mocking Him) is wrong. Repentance is a heart attitude; it's about agreeing with God that your old ways (doubting and cursing and mocking God and Jesus) is wrong, and that you want to change and love Him.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
I could add a bunch of other verses, but that sums it up. There are no conditions other than trusting in Jesus. I am a sinner myself, I deserve hell, but I trust Jesus.
Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
All Christians have lied, and we all deserve hell, but we trust Jesus.
Thats not to say all sin is equal, murder is worse than getting drunk obviously, but even on minor sin we still need to trust 100% in Jesus to be saved.
This sounds like one of those rhetorical questions. If it wasn't possible even an iota, humanity would've been doomed a looooong time ago! Haha.
Such is the grace and mercy of God! How wondrous His love that the Son of God, Christ, would become a human (as the second and final Adam) and pay the penalty to appease the wrath of the Father so that humans can become one with God again.
Here's the apostle Paul talking about himself pre-Christ:
- I give thanks to Christ Jesus our Lord who has strengthened me, because he considered me faithful, appointing me to the ministry -- even though I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an arrogant man. But I received mercy because I acted out of ignorance in unbelief, and the grace of our Lord overflowed, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. This saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance: "Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners" -- and I am the worst of them. But I received mercy for this reason, so that in me, the worst of them, Christ Jesus might demonstrate his extraordinary patience as an example to those who would believe in him for eternal life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. - 1Ti 1:12-17
And if you want to read his story, it begins with this:
- They dragged Stephen out of the city and began to stone him. And the witnesses laid their garments at the feet of a young man named Saul. - Act 7:58
- Saul agreed with putting him to death. On that day a severe persecution broke out against the church in Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout the land of Judea and Samaria. ...
- Saul, however, was ravaging the church. He would enter house after house, drag off men and women, and put them in prison. - Act 8:1, 3
The story then picks up [here](https://www.blueletterbible.org/csb/act/9/1/s_1027001).
Saul the blasphemer and arch-persecutor became perhaps the most consequential Christian of all time.
That's the whole work of salvation, friend. This is His love, that He gave His only son's life for us even though we were enemies with Him. You can read Romans 5:6-11 for that.
Isaiah 1:18 "Come now, let us reason together,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they will be as white as snow; though they are as red as crimson, they will become like wool." (BSB, [BibleHub.com](https://biblehub.com/bsb/isaiah/1.htm))
Yes the only unforgivable sin as committed by the Pharisees is when they saw they knew truly that Jesus was the messiah without a doubt and yet they still rejected him and attempted to lead others astray
Former agnostic here, I have been told, believe, and know that anyone can be forgiven for anything up to the day they die. Also Jesus loves all people whether they try to please Him or not.
Also if you're ever anxious about your faith/feel like you need absolution but don't have a priest nearby/just need some soothing music I recommend a song called Black Stained Glass by Demon Hunter. IDK if it'll help you, but it healed me and I still feel God's warmth when I listen to it.
In a sense thats all of us at a point right? Classic scenario but is still beautiful
And again daily we need to die to ourselves too. Because there is that turning point, and also the continual turning to God too. Every subsequent one hopefully makes you more aware and obedient to Him
As other people have pointed out, St. Paul (his name used to be Saul) went as far as to kill Christians, but Christ still saved him and even used him to write many of the books in the new testament.
Of course. Saul KILLED Christians and hated Jesus and then repented , was renamed Paul and is like the number 1 preacher after that.
Anyone can be saved.
I've literally spent 20 years of my life insulting, mocking and worse God, Jesus and everyone and everything religious.
And eventually I became a Christian.
I strongly feel your past doesn't define your future, and God's love is greater than any mistake or doubt. So keep seeking the Lord, and He will guide you on a journey of healing, transformation, and redemption. You're never too far gone to receive God's forgiveness and love.
yeah, it happens all the time
people like that give some of the best testimonies and are useful in converting new Christians who have similar issues
our journey is our sword and God uses everyone for His purpose
Read the account in the Bible about Paul on the road to Damascus. You can also read his testimony in the different letters that he writes. He was a fervent persecutor of Christians. Yet he became a man who dedicated his life to serving Jesus and to helping the church grow after that encounter. Many people have been doubters and dislikers. But salvation wipes away all of the sins that you committed that would separate you from God.
Yess. God loves you so much He won't even remember you once hated Him. It's possible to even get born again and still not like Jesus but believe He is the Truth. He eventually fills you with His love and makes you a completely different person. The person you were once was under the influence of the spirit of the World that hates God and loves self. God forgives you of everything provided you repent for it all 🩷🩷
““A certain moneylender had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. When they could not pay, he cancelled the debt of both. Now which of them will love him more?” Simon answered, “The one, I suppose, for whom he cancelled the larger debt.” And he said to him, “You have judged rightly.” Then turning toward the woman he said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave me no water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. You gave me no kiss, but from the time I came in she has not ceased to kiss my feet. You did not anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with ointment. Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven—for she loved much. But he who is forgiven little, loves little.” And he said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.””
Luke 7:41-48 ESV
I wept a lot when I read this. He who is forgiven much, loves much. But he who is forgiven little, loves little. How beautiful is that? It’s only through the darkest of your experiences do you realise and truly value Light. Jesus is the Light at the end of the tunnel, chase after Him, and He will give you peace. He is more than willing to forgive.
Anyone can become Christian. It’s not a process, it’s a decision.
The moment you make the decision to trust God and accept Jesus, you are Christian.
And that decision is entirely up to you.
As long as you sincerely ask for forgiveness, you will be forgiven. No matter the crime, no matter the sin, no matter what you’ve done or how badly you used to think, you will be forgiven if you repent from your heart.
An open heart is easily saved, a closed heart has condemned itself.
I hope this helped, even just slightly. May God bless you.
Yes, a lot of Christians were those people before they came to Christ.. I was one.
Ask St. Paul.
Came here to say this!
Well, when Paul was Saul, he was actually very zealous for God. Only for the wrong reasons
He was zealous for the god he created himself.
Oh def I hated Jesus before I was saved. He use to be the butt of my every joke. I used to call him the Kingbof the cartoon network. I would scream at street witnesses. If he can save me he can save anyone.
I was the same way, it's honestly super cringey in retrospect that I thought acting like that made me cool
Mine was born out of absolute hatred. I hated the church, God, Jesus, all of his followers. I know now I was demonically oppressed for years due to the things I was into back then. God has delivered me from so much and continues to restore what the locusts have eaten.

God is so good!
Praise the Lord!
He forgives. He wants you to come to him. Even if you did all that, it's never too late to come to Him. He loves you.
Peter knowing Jesus Christ denied him publicly three times but found redemption and forgiveness in Christ, so yes you can be forgiven pray, repent and ask God for forgiveness accept Jesus Christ as your saviour. It will be the best most important decision you’ve made in your life.
I imagine many of us have doubted and been mad at God. We are only human.
Yes. People can change
Yes, I even denounced God but I found myself back to God because he saved me by his grace
Yes. I used to think the Father was a demiurge and actually evil. Anyone alive can come to Christ and be forgiven.
I was starting to think that at one point too. Saved now thankfully
He keeps the door open until the day we die. Absolutely.
I was a militant atheist at one point who referred to God as "imaginary friend" "sky daddy" "just another myth" "maniacal" "not a God I would want to worship"... I could go on, but I am not that person anymore. Thank God for Jesus and that amazing saving grace!

Bartolo Longo was a Satanic Priest who reverted back to Catholicism. Anything is possible!
Of course you can.

I was like that now I'm a christian thanks to the grace of God. It's not an easy path but very possible.
I know of a guy who rounded up Christians to persecute them who went on to write a good chunk of the New Testament. (See Paul)
Literally no one is beyond salvation. “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”
Thank you guy
Absolutely.
That’s the power of conviction. He knows what your heart needs and WHEN it needs it.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Why not?
Mr. New Testament himself persecuted Christians. Ask for forgiveness and follow God
Here's the apostle Paul talking about himself pre-Christ: - I give thanks to Christ Jesus our Lord who has strengthened me, because he considered me faithful, appointing me to the ministry -- even though I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an arrogant man. Yes of course. Read the Bible. God will forgive you for doubts.
Yes, absolutely.
The hard to reach are usually the better, more zealous Christians after they are won over.
Every Christian was once a God-hater. We were all rebel sinners.
Yes, it has happened so many times
Definitely! I know a few people who were just like you, and now they're thriving in their Christian lives. 🙏🏻♥️
YES! I tried to write more, but couldn't (the post may have been too long), but that's what happened to me. God saved me and forgave me of all of it.
100%
Yes. I used to be an enemy of God and hurt Christian. Gros grew me to himself in the worst state of my life. Forgave me and restored me.
Yes the only unforgivable sin as committed by the Pharisees is when they saw they knew truly that Jesus was the messiah without a doubt and yet they still rejected him and attempted to lead others astray
absolutely
Forgiveness and love and truth and redemption is why Jesus came. He’s always waiting for you, it’s what love does.

Living proof right here
Happens every day
Jesus forgave one of the men who was crucified with him after he had mocked him on the cross.
Yep. Me. I thought Christians were brainwashed and then I found God and it’s been the best thing I ever did
The first man to go to heaven was a bandit who repented on the cross.
Yess. God loves you so much He won't even remember you once hated Him. It's possible to even get born again and still not like Jesus but believe He is the Truth.
