Amex Delta Platinum = 50k
Amex Delta Gold = 40k
Amex Platinum = 150k (time it right)
Amex Gold = 90k (time it right)
Amex Green = 50k (time it right)
Between hitting the minimum spend requirements on all of those, they’d likely have enough.
This is a myth and isn’t actually true. All it does is revert your score to what it would’ve been without those cards in the first place. So if have a score of 750, get the cards and raise your score to 780, then close your accounts after a few months, your score would just revert to 750. Technically it “hurts your score” but all it really does is treat it like you never had them in the first place.
It’s only a small factor in your credit score.
Also, unless you’re looking for a mortgage/loan, in the near future, your score will go back up in short time.
I would do it. I know that employees get like a pre release opportunity to buy one right? We had this same thing with our airline and the Sinn Watch Company. I didn’t get one back then and regret it. Also these come in very limited numbers which is always a good thing
Dooo it. I did (called the jeweler within about 5 mins of seeing it). What makes it even cooler is it is the closest (currently) we will get to the Pan Am Pepsi GMT. Guys did well on this one.
There are plenty of non-Rolex watches, and models that aren't limited edition or collabs, that have increased in value. It always comes down to supply and demand.
This is not true. The market for custom collaborations is pretty healthy given they are limited supply. You can look at the sales for the watches@ Tudor, Pirate Ship Tudor watch for Apple or the dominos Rolexes.
after market these are going for around 2500-3000 depending on kit/condition.
That delta marker is pretty rad.
Think Rolex AirKing Dominos edition.
I am sure aviation fans could be into it.
Update. Purchased. More info from the jeweler-
The Delta widget and case-back engraving are being done by Tudor in Switzerland. The Delta centennial engraving is currently top secret and was forwarded to Tudor from Delta. Won’t be unveiled until next year. Watches are estimated to ship Feb 2025. Approximately 150 watches still not spoken for out of the 500.
i would do it. $4375 is what the standard version lists for, and id love it if i could commentate my time at a company with a tastefully branded watch like this.
almost wish they replaced the 9 marker with the logo instead of next to it. would balance the dial against date window at 3 in my opinion
I think Delta logo in the short term would stabilize it to just over MSRP of the regular GMT and make it easier to move - it's a no brainer IMO - long term should do ok as well, depending on the condition - save everything associated with it, emails, screenshots of the employee portal showing it, order confirmation plus box and papers of course.
Edit: I see in another post the caseback of it has nothing special on it: really reinforces my point to grab anything during the purchase to prove it is a legitimate Delta dial reference - in the future it could be questioned like they question dial only Rolex Khanjar watches with regular casebacks.
The case back will be engraved with Delta’s Centennial Logo. This watch is being issued specifically to commemorate Delta’s 100th anniversary. They won’t be delivered until early 2025
The cool thing about Tudor custom work is they have a different reference number than the normal one. It's slightly different but they do this because they make extra dials for service purposes, etc in the future. But totally agree, try to grab everything you can because it's part of its history. For the AMZN Tudor this process took almost 3 years from concept to reality. It's such a cool thing you can do with a company for a watch club, etc. Funny thing around value.... Some guy when I was showing my BB58 off at an AD offered me double what I paid...I politely declined but there are people out there that like the idea of collecting this custom stuff.
Buy it. I have a collab Tudor that the watch enthusiasts at my company pulled together. If you end up not wanting it, you should be able to sell it internally for what you paid for it. There will always be a Delta person willing to pick it up (unless these are always available).
I don't know. The logo looks like an after thought. Nothing unique about it. That said Domino's Pizza logo Rolexes from the 80's still go for $10K. Not sure why anyone would want that.
How much do you like working for Delta? It's a fun watch on its own, and it would be nice to have a memento from a job you job enjoy.
But, if you don't enjoy the job, then it could be a constant reminder of bad memories.
this is Tudor though, which means Grandpappy Wilsdorf, Rolex.
They have a crack team of hamsters running everything through a wheel for design ideas. Want something cool and innovative?
Boom, autism awareness in PM and Pennywise OP balloons
They missed an opportunity to do what dominoes and rolex did when they integrated the logo into the bracelet. The dial alone doesn't justify the purchase
I say go for it. Wear it proudly until you retire, then if you're interested, check to see what it's worth on the vintage market. Could be that little Delta logo might make it worth double what you paid for it.
I don’t think so but what do I know, sure it’s got a Delta logo which is different but it is just still Delta, who gives a f about wearing a Delta logo watch.
If it is cheaper than retail and you like watches buy it but otherwise I’d give it a miss.
Do you really want to put over 4k in a watch hoping in 50 years it is worth a few thousand more?
I doubt I’d wear a watch with my employers logo on it. I like my current job and employer, but I don’t want to think much about work when I’m not at work, and wouldn’t want to be reminded of them when I looked at the time. The only time I wear shirts with the company logo is when I go to work. If the watch had a significant discount from the regular model in might consider it. And I have yet to have an airline experience where I would want a watch with any of their logos on it
They missed an opportunity to make the delta logo the 6 o clock marker, or inverted the 12, or added to bezel or something. Still super cool and would defo get one if I was an employee
I wanted to get it, but it’s a way thick watch on me. They screwed up the Breitling collab by going with a non aviator style watch. This GMT is a step in the right direction. I wish they had chosen the new Tudor design. Much sleeker. I’m still holding out for a Rolex collab down the road (doubtful but one can dream).
I was able to get my hands on a AMZN BB58 Tudor when I was involved in the group buy there. It was delivered a month before I quit. At first I was like yah I'll sell it but to be able to pick something up custom with it's own reference number that is related to a big company....I would do it in a heartbeat again. It's a piece of my personal history and I don't have any Ill will towards AMZN so I have a feeling I'll have it for a long time. If I was working at Delta 100% I would buy. Looks sweet.
Negative Ghost Rider (sorry, Top Gun ref couldn't be resisted).
The case back is probably the more unique aspect (which is unfortunate imo since it is rarely seen). From the 'net: "the case back will proudly showcase a unique engraving of the official Delta Centennial logo... This will be one of the first items that feature Delta’s Centennial logo." I haven't seen said logo yet, but it will unique/a focal point when off the wrist.
I know Delta fans who would pay over MSRP. This one is collectible and will easily fetch MSRP or more years from now. Delta has excellent brand equity.
Putting this out there: If you are a Delta employee in the Bay Area and you want to make a few bucks selling one of these to an interested party, hit me up.
Buy it for the watch not the flippability.
Company logos do not tend to help with resale valuation unless it's a very special organization associated with a specific historic event.
How many delta miles is that. All joking aside if I spent my career at delta yeah, I'd have one.
Skymiles convert to dollars at $0.01/mile as an absolute floor. So.... 437,500 miles. I'd do that.
Just sign up for a few Amex Delta cards, for the sign up bonus, and close after the first year.
It is possible that I am richer in miles than I am in useful currency.
Time to take a trip! Or buy a watch I guess.
Don’t let the government find out!
Amex Delta Platinum = 50k Amex Delta Gold = 40k Amex Platinum = 150k (time it right) Amex Gold = 90k (time it right) Amex Green = 50k (time it right) Between hitting the minimum spend requirements on all of those, they’d likely have enough.
Destroys average credit age to do this.
This is a myth and isn’t actually true. All it does is revert your score to what it would’ve been without those cards in the first place. So if have a score of 750, get the cards and raise your score to 780, then close your accounts after a few months, your score would just revert to 750. It’s only a small factor in your credit score. Also, unless you’re looking for a mortgage/loan, in the near future, your score will go back up in short time.
I have almost 300k miles saved up lol. Never thought of it this way.
Can I get Zone 1 boarding with this? If so, sign me up.
Forget Zone 1. I get that with my Delta Amex card. Give me Economy Comfort+ boarding.
I would do it. I know that employees get like a pre release opportunity to buy one right? We had this same thing with our airline and the Sinn Watch Company. I didn’t get one back then and regret it. Also these come in very limited numbers which is always a good thing
Which airline was it for Sinn? I would love to see it
Lufthansa
Huy got it right, it’s Lufthansa. You can just Google “Sinn Lufthansa” and you will find two different models
Omg the 857 is awesome with the airplane hand
Only employees can buy one. You must have an employee number to order. It’s limited to 500 pieces.
If you don’t want it let me know
Dooo it. I did (called the jeweler within about 5 mins of seeing it). What makes it even cooler is it is the closest (currently) we will get to the Pan Am Pepsi GMT. Guys did well on this one.
It’s open for sale to non delta employees?
It is not available to non employees
He should get it for sure then. That'll up the value on the used market if he ever decides to sell. The logo isn't annoying or anything either.
It's just a Tudor though,No such thing as upping in value
Have you seen the price of 1970-1990’s Tudor Submariners?
There are plenty of non-Rolex watches, and models that aren't limited edition or collabs, that have increased in value. It always comes down to supply and demand.
That’s what I thought but this dude called his jeweler about it?
He’s an employee
Correct. thicckar: don't be thick. ;)
Hahaha
You gotta get this. I'd buy one to wear and one to never open.
Limit one per employee :(
How do you buy this? Damn nvm I see it’s for employees
That’s cool. Just know that’s a pretty thick watch.
Yup. It’s a chunk and will wear big. Better have a stout wrist.
I wouldnt buy any Tudor based on collectibility or profitting from it. Get it only if you like it and are going to wear it.
Yep. Agree. Value retention on this will be very good though.
No it won’t. These are already selling for $2500 used. The delta logo is lame and probably makes it worth less not more.
This is not true. The market for custom collaborations is pretty healthy given they are limited supply. You can look at the sales for the watches@ Tudor, Pirate Ship Tudor watch for Apple or the dominos Rolexes.
Then you should buy it for $4350 and let us know what happens.
'Pretty good' meaning maybe 2/3 of it's retail price and not going up. So it simply loses value from inflation.
^^^This
If I worked for Delta, I don’t think I’d be able to resist doing it.
after market these are going for around 2500-3000 depending on kit/condition. That delta marker is pretty rad. Think Rolex AirKing Dominos edition. I am sure aviation fans could be into it.
Where are you seeing this specific watch for 2500-3000?
not the delta one, the OG variant. r/watchexchange
🤨
I got the og one for 2700 usd few months ago. I love it
I’m sure the delta version will fetch a big premium. I’d pay over cost for one.
I don’t think you know what after market means
Update. Purchased. More info from the jeweler- The Delta widget and case-back engraving are being done by Tudor in Switzerland. The Delta centennial engraving is currently top secret and was forwarded to Tudor from Delta. Won’t be unveiled until next year. Watches are estimated to ship Feb 2025. Sorry for the noob question but do you just go to a Tudor jeweler and give them your employee ID or can you order it through an employee portal?
If you’re a Delta employee just look for the ordering instructions on the company intranet
I can’t find it anywhere. Could you PM me? I’m IFS. Can verify if needed
I sent you a message.
That’s pretty cool.
I’d do it. I don’t care about collecting though. Well if you don’t take it I’m sure somewhere here would take you up on it.
I’d get it. Think about the likelihood another opportunity to obtain one would be.
This is it. It’s for Delta’s 100th anniversary. The back will be engraved with the centennial logo. This is a one time only deal!
No brainer imo
Especially if you can swing it financially which I’m assuming you can
I ordered one
Good man I’m jealous
I’d wear the hell out of it. Someone want to get me one? 😂
if I spent (or was planning on spending) my career there, I would definitely get one. Note, not for "collectibility" or resale, just because I like it
i would do it. $4375 is what the standard version lists for, and id love it if i could commentate my time at a company with a tastefully branded watch like this. almost wish they replaced the 9 marker with the logo instead of next to it. would balance the dial against date window at 3 in my opinion

The case back will be engraved with Delta’s Centennial Logo. This watch is being issued specifically to commemorate Delta’s 100th anniversary. They won’t be delivered until early 2025
That's great to hear - OP said in another post that the back had nothing on it - this is great news will be such a cool piece
The cool thing about Tudor custom work is they have a different reference number than the normal one. That’s pretty damn cool
Buy it. I have a collab Tudor that the watch enthusiasts at my company pulled together. If you end up not wanting it, you should be able to sell it internally for what you paid for it. There will always be a Delta person willing to pick it up (unless these are always available).
Collectability? Definitely collectible 50 years from now when delta isn’t delta anymore. I’d definitely wear that now though😅
Would cop that with the quickness
It’s to commemorate Delta’s 100th anniversary and won’t be delivered until early 2025. The case back will be engraved with Delta’s Centennial Logo
Noooo! The Delta logo ruins the watch for me.
It would have been perfect to fit on the diamond on the GMT or hour hand. Typical Delta fail.
I don't know. The logo looks like an after thought. Nothing unique about it. That said Domino's Pizza logo Rolexes from the 80's still go for $10K. Not sure why anyone would want that.
The Domino’s AirKings needed to be earned, not bought. Big difference in scarcity.
This is a great point. If Delta was giving me this watch for service I would absolutely accept and wear it. I wouldn't pay $4K for the privilege.
The Delta logo would add quite a bit of value.
Is it the 39mm?
No.
hard pass. That colorway with the new 39mm would be sexy.
How much do you like working for Delta? It's a fun watch on its own, and it would be nice to have a memento from a job you job enjoy. But, if you don't enjoy the job, then it could be a constant reminder of bad memories.
This is rad!
Yes
Hell yes
Omg what a missed opportunity - the delta logo should be the GMT hand!
I was thinking of having it at the 12 o'clock position that would be super sick!
this is Tudor though, which means Grandpappy Wilsdorf, Rolex. They have a crack team of hamsters running everything through a wheel for design ideas. Want something cool and innovative? Boom, autism awareness in PM and Pennywise OP balloons

looks cool! Definitely!
If I worked for Delta (I don’t) and liked Tudors (I do), I would buy it. However, I fly mostly on United…
I have the non-delta one so I would say yeah.
Yes
I doubt I’d wear a watch with my employers logo on it. I like my current job and employer, but I don’t want to think much about work when I’m not at work, and wouldn’t want to be reminded of them when I looked at the time. And I have yet to have an airline experience where I would want a watch with any of their logos on it
I think this is sweet
If I was a diehard delta employee it’s no question
That’s friggin awesome, yes you should
Buy it! As a delta loyalist I wish I could buy one. Might ask a flight attendant friend if she is able to buy one for me.
I think it’s dope.
They missed an opportunity to make the delta logo the 6 o clock marker, or inverted the 12, or added to bezel or something. Still super cool and would defo get one if I was an employee
Buy it and sell it to me for $1000 profit right now
I wanted to get it, but it’s a way thick watch on me. They screwed up the Breitling collab by going with a non aviator style watch. This GMT is a step in the right direction. I wish they had chosen the new Tudor design. Much sleeker. I’m still holding out for a Rolex collab down the road (doubtful but one can dream).

Do it! Tudor’s are great watches. I’m really working hard to try and get my first one.
It will be awesome to see one of those on the plane as a passenger! I often see nice watches on the wrist of the flight crew. I think it is awesome.
As a Delta loyalist this is sick
100%
500 is minuscule. Delta has around 90,000 employees. Are you sure you can get one?
I would definitely if I worked for delta. That is a cool piece
I’d jump on it … I’m sure in 20+ yrs it will be worth something, how many are they going to make after all?
500
You’ll have FOMO if you don’t get it and all your Delta buddies do.
Get it. It was available for Southwest employees last year and it’s no longer in the shop. I’m pretty positive a lot of pilots went for it.
I would like to see what the case back looks like
Nothing special sadly. Missed opportunity IMO
This will be one of the first items that feature Delta’s Centennial logo." That’s great news! Thanks for setting me straight
To be honest, I would not. I don't think that will be a collectible but these are just my opinions
Yall just let me know 😩😂
Time will tell on collectibility. Don’t get it with the hopes that it will increase, get it if you like it/it has sentimental value to you
That’s awesome, I would buy two- one to wear and one to tuck away
Not a fan of dual branded watches, for lack of better term… reminds me of the McDonalds branded Rolex, but I guess if this is your thing. Go for it!
I’d only buy it if I were a long term Delta pilot.
Sure why not? Even if it doesn’t become collectible, it’s still a great watch. You could pass down to your family.
No. Get the new Black Bay GMT.
If you have the coin to blow on it, hell yea.
Tudor and collectibility in one sentence don’t really work. Cool piece though. If you like it why not
I know Delta fans who would pay over MSRP. This one is collectible and will easily fetch MSRP or more years from now. Delta has excellent brand equity.
That’s dope. I have the Pepsi GMT. I love it. But it
Definitely worth buying. Not for you but your grandkids will thank you.
I love it! Awesome!
Good price, nice watch, not an investment
Don’t
It's a watch... to tell time... nothing more, nothing less...
And yet you are on the Tudor forum?
1. It was suggested to me by Reddit and idk why 2. It's a subreddit...
Get it. If I worked at Delta, I'd have already pulled the trigger on it.
That’s a super cool watch!! How can we get one if we don’t work for Delta?
Lol why would you want to rep delta? Buy the normal one save your money..if you like delta buy it's stock.
Such a nice watch
Looks ugly imo
Never heard of a Delta Employee site for watches.
Delta employees site for watches? Since when?
hello can you help me buy thisone
Won't this be $3500 in a year?
4375 in SPY will provide a better return. Buy it to wear it not to stick it in a safe for 20+ years hoping it can be sold for more.
Seems weird to buy an expensive watch branded with your employers logo lol. Like borderline Walmart maxing
100 percent buy one
I would like to see someone order it and have deltas slogan, "Life is a nightmare", engraved on the back
That’s a 100% YES. Almost certainly collectable for someone.
Damn didn’t know delta x Tudor did a collab
Putting this out there: If you are a Delta employee in the Bay Area and you want to make a few bucks selling one of these to an interested party, hit me up.
How does a Delta employee order one? A retiring family member is a Delta pilot and would love this as a gift.
Sauce. I would order in a heartbeat despite collectibility or not as a watch enthusiast !
Buy now. Watches appreciate AND a Delta employee will snag it.
I would. It’s different and also for the personal connection.
I would 100% get it, I'd be regretting it if I didn't.
Buy it for the watch not the flippability. Company logos do not tend to help with resale valuation unless it's a very special organization associated with a specific historic event.
If it is for you then buy it, resale and collectibility wise the Delta logs may hurt the value.
My dad got one! Excited to see it irl
I ordered one. The BB GMT isn’t as refined as many other options but it’s the best watch collaboration Delta has done
I love my BB, I’d buy that. It’s unique to you and and be talking about it haha
Gosh ive been thinking about this too.
Send it
I would totally do it, especially when payroll deductible like uniforms! Wished I had bought the American Breitling Aerospace.
I would absolutely buy that.
Yep, do it.
Yep, do it.
If I’m wearing a watch with the delta logo on it I better get that for free.
Pepsi Tudor, I’d buy that
I’m not paying to have some airline’s logo on my watch. It’s not 1975, flying isn’t fancy anymore.
Too chonky. Like hockey puck thick
