I agree with both of those, but I have a hard time deciding which season of AHS is best. I really like "Freak Show", "Coven", and "Apocalypse", but "Hotel" was also really good...

Fair enough. S4 was also great as was the whole series.
With the intensity ramping up throughout that final season and the culmination of the entire show + one of the best endings ever.. it was hard to not pick.
Yeah 3 and 4 were truly the meat of that series. Far enough along to be getting really dynamic and interesting, but not so far that ideas were thinning out.
God those were the days. Felt like the good times would never end.
Season 3 of LOST is the best part of LOST, IMO. Different mysteries from Season 1 and 2 had their payoffs/reveals and there was a pretty good balance of characters. Plus, the ending of Season 3 is one of the best season endings in any TV show.
I watched the 1st 2 seasons and a couple of the 3rd & loved it, but I guess life got in the way & I stopped, but your comment definitely makes me want to pick it back up. Especially to watch the fantastic Lance Reddick again!
Season 4 of Dexter is very high on my list.
Same with Season 2 of Sopranos.
Season 1 of Game of Thrones
Season 2 of Sons of Anarchy
Season 1 of True Detective
Season 1 of Mayor of Kingstown
Season 1 of Friday Night Lights. Season 3 too.
I’m sure I’m forgetting things.
You know, people talk a lot about how they dislike Dexter past season 4, but you know what I never hear people talk about (not saying that it was good or bad, but I don't hear a discussion or even mentioned)? How we only get to know Dexter (as a character *and* the way the show feels) for 1 season before he had to contend with a huge FBI investigation and possibly getting caught. It wasn't a bad thing, but it was a little strange to me, in that I would've guessed that we would've had a couple/few seasons getting used to Dexter hunting bad guys as an anti-hero, and to get the rhythm of the show, before putting him against a huge government serial killer investigation.
Prison break season 1 is probably the season I've watched most of all tv. Like whenever I wanna rewatch the show I get to season 3 and leave it...then a couple years ago I rewatch.. and repeat..
LOST Season 3. I think it's a great season because it got a lot of things right. There was a good balance in terms of the characters, some longstanding (up to that point) mysteries were solved, and new elements were introduced in a way that was easy to follow. It's a shame that LOST jumped the shark after that.
4 was ok 5 was getting ridiculous but the ending of 5 was a perfect way to end the show. Season 6 with the exception of a few episodes was hard for me to watch weekly. Even tho I teared up at the ending, season 6 still was still a hot mess and you could tell the show runners were just making it up as they went, if i recall they had it all ready to be wrapped up at 5 seasons but abc demanded a 6th and they just kinda went either way it.
Community Season 1
Prison Break Season 1
The Office (usa) Season 3
Breaking Bad Season 4
24 Season 5
Seinfeld Season 4
All the above shows had amazing seasons throughout, but the seasons listed to me are peak perfection.
Season 1 of Heroes
Definitely not the best season of any show ever, but the post reminded me of how strongly that show started off before going into an immediate death spiral
I think my answer is the go to Breaking Bad Season 5.
However, some other GOATED seasons:
Better Call Saul Season 6.
Dark Season 2.
The Wire Season 4.
Game of Thrones Season 4.
Dexter Season 4.
Prison Break Season 1.
My favorite show is Firefly, which was unceremoniously cancelled after one season, so I'd say that one is on top.
Seasons 2 and 3 of Community are my absolute favorites.
Season 4 of Dexter. I can't for sure say it's the best of the show because I've never watched any of the rest of the seasons, but, I have no desire to. It was such a powerful bit of storytelling and I think it will stay with me for a long time. No need to watch anymore.
Season 1 of "Barnaby Jones"
Guest Stars:
-William Shatner
-Roddy McDowell
-Jack Cassidy
-Jackie Cooghan
-Bill Bixby
... and the actor who plays "Victor Newman" (idk his name..)
More at imdb for excellent cast, music, etc.
Season 1 of How To Get Away With Murder.
The murder mystery was so thrilling, and it was so well done from start to finish. Viola Davis's character made me feel like I was sitting in that lecture room. The show kind of fell of after, but it still remained far better than other shows I was watching at that time.
Prison Break Season One was really good, even two was still entertaining.
Here's some of my favorite seasons of television.
Firefly Season One
Lost Season One
Westworld Season One
kinda cheating since there's only one season. but the Watchmen miniseries is goated all the way through and 2 episodes are arguably some of the best episodes of television of all time
The first season that immediately came to mind was Stranger Things season 1. That was the one and only time so far that I began a show and watched an entire season in a single day. Just flawless.
I could rattle off more, but that season of Stranger Things really hooked me like nothing else before, or since.
season one of heroes.season one of american horror story.
I agree with both of those, but I have a hard time deciding which season of AHS is best. I really like "Freak Show", "Coven", and "Apocalypse", but "Hotel" was also really good...
My favourite was season 2 on that actually and then season 1. I've always had a soft spot for psych wards and such, in horrors.
Absolutely!!! Agree with both of those!!!
Man, season one of Heroes was so great! "Save the cheerleader, save the world" still gives me chills.
The Sopranos season 2 might be the best television of all time.
It’s the jacket
He took it off Rocco Dimeo - toughest kid in Essex county
Season 6 is phenomenal as well.
🎼 🎶 It was a very good year 🎼 🎵
"Did she even reallty exist"?
Sorry, came here to say Season 1. Still believe Season 1 stands alone and tells a full story from beginning to end.
Looks like it might as well just be all the seasons. Im a big fan of season 4. I think Whitecaps is the greatest single episode in TV history
Lost season one was amazing
People forget how hard season 1 of lost went at the time. I don’t know I have ever seen a single of season of tv that captured that much attention
True Detective S1. It is almost perfect to me.
It is perfect
Westworld
Season 1 is so damn good

Hey wait didn't they only get...ohhh..yeahhhh..

True Detective S1 Final Season of The Americans
I give season 4 the edge over the final season of The Americans but it’s close
Fair enough. S4 was also great as was the whole series. With the intensity ramping up throughout that final season and the culmination of the entire show + one of the best endings ever.. it was hard to not pick.
oooooh i hadnt considered true detective season one. great show. i enjoyed season 2 as well. many people didnt.
S1 was epic as far as all the seasons. Fargo season 1 is on par with it as well, imo.
24 Season 1.
Season 1 of Ozark
Outlander 1st Season The Wedding
Outlander season one was near perfect television.
Season 2 Fleabag
Maybe recency bias, but season 2 of The Bear was incredible
Twin Peaks - Season 3
Game of Thrones seasons 3 & 4 Homeland season 1
Yeah 3 and 4 were truly the meat of that series. Far enough along to be getting really dynamic and interesting, but not so far that ideas were thinning out. God those were the days. Felt like the good times would never end.
Homeland season 1 definitely….but season 4 was almost just as good
Oh man, I'd forgotten about Homeland. That first season was phenomenal
Yes!! Loved prison break. I can’t choose between seasons 1-3 of LOST.
Season 3 of LOST is the best part of LOST, IMO. Different mysteries from Season 1 and 2 had their payoffs/reveals and there was a pretty good balance of characters. Plus, the ending of Season 3 is one of the best season endings in any TV show.
Yes for sure, the finale of s3 changed the game of television
I think the Season 3 finale (of LOST) was one of my favourite season finales in a TV show.
Soap season 1 will never be beat!
The Wire seasons 3 (Hamsterdam) and 4 (the School) are the two best seasons of TV ever made in my opinion.
Watching 4 for the first time was the most transcendent experience I’ve ever had watching tv
i really enjoyed all seasons. i had issues with a lot of things in the show tho
I watched the 1st 2 seasons and a couple of the 3rd & loved it, but I guess life got in the way & I stopped, but your comment definitely makes me want to pick it back up. Especially to watch the fantastic Lance Reddick again!
Personally season 2 will always be my favorite as Frank Nick and ziggy are just so relatable and my favorite character Omar is prevalent
You are absolutely correct.
Season 4 of Dexter is very high on my list. Same with Season 2 of Sopranos. Season 1 of Game of Thrones Season 2 of Sons of Anarchy Season 1 of True Detective Season 1 of Mayor of Kingstown Season 1 of Friday Night Lights. Season 3 too. I’m sure I’m forgetting things.
>Season 4 of Dexte Season 4 of Dexter had john lithgow right? that was a good one.
It did.
Kingstown. Yep
Oohh season 2 of Dexter!
I like season 2 a lot too. The whole thing with Doakes.
Prison break season 1 is probably the season I've watched most of all tv. Like whenever I wanna rewatch the show I get to season 3 and leave it...then a couple years ago I rewatch.. and repeat..
S1 My Name is Earl
First 3 seasons of Ozark
Dead Like Me S1
American Horror Story Season 1 Episode 1
Season three or season four of breaking bad
LOST Season 3. I think it's a great season because it got a lot of things right. There was a good balance in terms of the characters, some longstanding (up to that point) mysteries were solved, and new elements were introduced in a way that was easy to follow. It's a shame that LOST jumped the shark after that.
Jumped the shark? I think seasons 4 & 5 are my favorite.
Lost was the best TV series ever made, from start to finish. I will die on this hill!
Simpsons Season 4.
Can I interest you in season 6? Clown college possibly being the best episode.
Silicon Valley Season 1
That season finale. Laughing so hard I had to rewatch it immediately.
Community Season 1 Prison Break Season 1 The Office (usa) Season 3 Breaking Bad Season 4 24 Season 5 Seinfeld Season 4 All the above shows had amazing seasons throughout, but the seasons listed to me are peak perfection.
agree with all but i couldnt get behind the office. not sure why
Genre shows… Firefly Orphan Black, season 1 The Good Place, season 1
IASIP season 7
Extremely hard to choose a best season, but the season 4-8 run is nonstop laughs
I agree with most of the popular picks here, but one I’m surprised I never see discussed is Sneaky Pete S1-2. Very good first couple seasons!
I was soo sad when it was cancelled. So good

I love the league, but best season of TV ever??
Season 1 of Firefly.
Heck, even half of a 'full' season was a masterpiece.
Watched it again recently after 10+ years. Doesn’t hold up. Story out of order. Slow to develop. Plot meandering
Season 1 of Heroes Definitely not the best season of any show ever, but the post reminded me of how strongly that show started off before going into an immediate death spiral
The only season I didn’t care for was 3. I never got the post season 1 hate beyond that.

Prison Break Season One was really good, even two was still entertaining. Here's some of my favorite seasons of television. Firefly Season One Lost Season One Westworld Season One

The Riches, season one. It was on FX starring Eddie Izard and Minnie Driver.
