The five note exploding Drake technique. Oh man, a bunch of confused bards are going to be very disappointed when they try that on their next adventure.

Yeah, no, Morse Code is too subtle, he's going to have revealed an entire Broadway musical about Drake's entire life and career, but only the bad parts

God that reminds me of the time I chest bumped a super wasted Japanese guy at a football game when our team scored lmao. Hope you're doing well, random japanese football guy.
Two seperate fighting game subs posted Kendrick's songs. This is beyond anything I've ever seen in popular music.
JCole the smartest man on the planet.
Another US rapper who dissed Kendrick on a track with Drake some time back as well as on one of his own tracks. "Almost immediately after releasing 7 Minute Drill, Cole realised it had been a huge "mis-step".
Speaking on stage at the Dreamville Festival in North Carolina, [he apologised for the song](https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-68759433), praised Lamar's back catalogue and asked for forgiveness.
"I ain't gonna lie to y'all the past two days felt terrible," he told an audience at the Dreamville Festival in North Carolina.
He explained that he'd caved into pressure to respond to Lamar's diss, but the result was the "lamest, goofiest" thing he'd ever recorded.
Vowing to scrub the song from streaming services, he added that he would "take if on the chin" if Lamar wanted to respond.
As the star rapped on his 2013 track Crunch Time, "Only thing worse than death is a regret-filled coffin"."

About an hour after the latest track released I asked my partner if she had heard of the beef between them. She hadn't and looked it up on Douyin (Chinese version of TikTok) and there were a bunch of clips of people discussing it. Felt like seeing the news spread around the world in real time.
Unless I misunderstood, didn't Drake's 'diss' blow up in his face because he used AI for Tupac's voice only to be told to shut that shit down? Since it's sounds like 5 - 0 in Kendrick's favor.
I will never understand why people are always so surprised that japanese people actually enjoy foreign stuff.
'it transcends language barriers 🤪' says twitter guy with anime profile pic
Well I don’t think this one’s out of line to say, rap is not only very western but heavily based on lyrical rhyme which most Japanese listeners won’t understand due to unfamiliarity with English. It’s just a bit surprising, ya don’t really hear about western Rap getting talked about in anime. Ya can usually spot an anime reference in a western cartoon though
It's almost always mid-sized venues though. No English rapper has ever sold out a stadium in Japan. The closest you'd get is R&B with Whitney Houston, Beyonce, and Bruno Mars having sold out the Tokyo Dome (the latter a record 10 times).
Post Malone is doing Ariake Arena this year which tops out at 15K. That's equivalent to a normal tour date in the US and not a "big global megastar's one night in Tokyo."
That's why I said relatively. Rap more so than other genre is reliant on an understanding of the lyrics and that barrier will always exist with English rappers.
To be fair rap is relatively big in Japan as well, and the lyrical rhyme requirement doesn't apply because they just don't use it at all in Japanese. It's all about the rhythm instead.
I agree that it is pretty funny seeing reactions to an English song specifically since there is that language barrier, but applying it to the genre as a whole is a bit much.
Correct. Rap uses difficult vocabulary if English is your second language. Unless you really absolutely LOVE the beat that much, you are seriously missing out without a rock solid grasp of the language.
That doesn't stop me from seeing new threads. I have limited time and scrolling past/hiding wastes that. Are new threads on the same topic adding to the discussion?
If your time is genuinely so limited that clicking "hide thread" on two or three posts wastes what little time you have, then you probably have much bigger problems with your time management.
Hell, in that case the fact that you've posted 3 times in this thread has already wasted more time than multiple weeks worth of hitting "hide thread" would have.
Killing intent transcends all language barriers.
satsui no uta
Satsui no DNA.
What's next? Kendrick's next track is gonna call Drake a child molester in morse code?
At this point I expect track #5 is going to literally just be a list of coordinates and dates.
Kendrick’s new track “Where Drake Keeps His Victims” with the cover being coordinates to an unmarked island.
Final track is a string of high and low pitched noises specially engineered to make only Drake’s head explode
I'M IN THE CLUB, LISTENING TO THE BROWN NOTE - Dracula Flow 5
The five note exploding Drake technique. Oh man, a bunch of confused bards are going to be very disappointed when they try that on their next adventure.
is there gonna be a gaudy ass temple in the middle of nothing again?
..wait, what do you mean 'again'?

And ages
Morse code? I think we're past that
Yeah, no, Morse Code is too subtle, he's going to have revealed an entire Broadway musical about Drake's entire life and career, but only the bad parts
> entire life ACT II: That Time a Young Drake, Aged 12, Shat His Pants During Recess
"It was me, Aubrey. I shit your pants during recess."
Music by LMM Shit's opening on Tuesday, ain't no need for out-of-towns or previews
Kendrick gonna set up a sting to catch Aubrey tryin to hook up with A minor.
He literally calls him a paedophile in this song. I don't think he needs morse code anymore
Next track is Kendrick rapping Drake’s own thoughts to him in real time.
Battle Tendency.
"Your next line is 'I'm going to misappropriate a Kratos quote.' Go!" "I'm going to misappropriate a Kratos quote. ***NANIIII."***

As someone who doesn't listen to rap at all, this is all "pass the popcorn" to me.

Who's JCole and what does he have to do with this.

No idea but I gathered he tried to have some of that drama pie but backed out unlike Drake, making Drake the only target
Seems lime a smart move, yes
I was not expecting a Japanese Bengals fan to weigh in.

This shit is getting bigger by the second.
Is this really that surprising? How many weebs listen to japanese music? Westaboos are a thing.
Where there is a reaction there is an equal and opposite reaction
Why does that one japanese guy have an NFL themed account and pfp lol

I mean rappers like drake do shows in Japan and they are relatively popular. You see rap talked about but its usually never in depth

How do I stop reading about this?
Using the scroll bar on your browser
Or the hide function Reddit had for a looooong time.

That doesn't do anything if this is everywhere.
It does if you keep scrolling.
