No brainer really, was £60 to share between two so it was about twice the price of the other dishes. I took the photo before the sides even came out, bbq beans, mac and cheese, lobster tails, it was unreal. So much food left over they gave us a take away box which was nice too

Yoo sorry for slow reply, it was just a little place called smokeshed in Hoddesdon. Book a table as it was full when I went, they were turning walkins away even at lunch. Thought that was weird until I tried the food
And Reddit held its breath... is there a time limit to get through that? I know it's for 2 but I could imagine ordering one of those for brunch and just picking away at it till 4pm the next day. Amazing!
Gotta be with that stupid lettuce. That’d be the last place I’d go. Only steak restaurant I know, that’s known for their lettuce more than their steaks😂
I’ve been there once and it was all delicious, the rib eye was perfect lovely sweet potato fries, the onion loaf thing was just ok, and the lettuce with honey mustard and bacon dressing was delicious too, would definitely go again.
Yeah it’s like an onion bhaji but without Indian spices. You do get a weird eighth of iceberg lettuce as a kind of starter though, you choose different toppings for it.
They do a lovely fillet / ribeye steak at miller & Carter. It’s a bit chainy obviously but personally I love the food there.
Edit: actually I think matey was talking about the lettuce wedge in the top of frame.
Yeah very recognisable. This was shit. There are 5 near me, 2 good, 3 shit, unfortunately this was Harlow, shit one don’t go there. Chigwell and Newbury Park ones are always good though
This is my local pub, the only remaining one in the village, £18 so not cheap but I’ll pay a premium to keep them going. The steak baguette is there too, £14.
I really love their chips, I lived on this places food during lockdown. Good quality ingredients like fish and the lobster they do is top quality but it’s just a bit expensive
Those were my two least favourite actually, and yeah the photo of the fish and chips don’t do it justice. As pub fish and chips go it’s the best I’ve ever had
You obviously know your stuff matey, I’ve got to go with number one though but with the chips from the burger(no5)

I’m a foodie for sure. So this had the best burnt ends I’ve had in my life, and I go visit my family in Texas a lot too so I’ve had some good ones. Pulled pork, brisket, ribs, jumbo sausage, then we added buffalo wings and honey and sesame.
Took home the left overs and had them for dinner, it could feed a family once you add your sides lol

The lettuce is a pallet cleanser not a side. Imagine ginger in a Japanese between dishes, this is miller and carters version lol

The fish was top tier, just so big the chef had to fold it to fit in his fryer lol
