It was happening to me, every 24h + 1min, right from the beginning with UDM se. I spent some time with support but couldn't figure it out. One day I noticed the message was saying "secondary internet ..... " Whereas I only have 1 ISP , that's where I realised I was using my ISP fiber directly connected to the SFP+ port which is by default the secondary WAN interface. As soon as I swapped the primary wan to SFP+ port , I never got this message again for some reason .. Edit: I'm not saying that's the solution but that's what ended up working for me.

JonesCZ

Well, I have cloud GW ultra and using WAN interface. I have 1 ISP

icekapp

SPF fiber directly? Or sfp copper unit?

xzi_vzs

I'm using the GPON module of my ISP that was connected to their router and plugged it to my SFP+ port directly

icekapp

May give that a try then… thankyou

Pass3Part0uT

This is the reason

sniepre

It's happening to me and I have both a primary and secondary WAN in use, failover only mode. Same issues, and it's causing it to fail over to the secondary cable.

itanite

24hr lease and the DHCP server taking a bit to get back to you?

8085-8086

I am thinking this as well. I had the pass through DHCP lease set to 99 days or something when I was using their BGW gateway

thrBeachBoy

Was about to write this. DHCP 24h lease

sniepre

YES! Me too! I have a local provider's gig/gig fiber, and it's been dropping me to my secondary provider (cable) every day or two for the last few days! I have a ticket open with the ISP but they don't see anything yet to correlate at all. For me when it happens like i said it fails back to the other WAN interface, which means if i don't recycle the port on the WAN1 fast enough, i'll DHCP a new IP which is a PITA. No idea on the cause yet but I was starting to suspect the UDM SE. I also saw it happen at the same exact time plus a minute.

sniepre

Looks like it started Mar 10th, stopped for a few days, then picked back up again. [https://i.imgur.com/PwEESvI.png](https://i.imgur.com/PwEESvI.png) I wonder if I just disable WAN2 if it won't have anything to fail over to and will stop going down?

hatsubai

Used to have this issue. ATT fiber. Always right at 24 hours. UDM SE. I ignored it for the longest time because it was always popping at like 3am my time. After awhile, it magically went away. Been months since I last saw it. Currently on v3.2.12

JonesCZ

I am getting those on Cloud GW Ultra since I deployed it on March 15th

Graham2990

UDM SE that also dropped every 24 hours. ISP said they didn’t see it on their end, because their log files were getting wiped when my smart plug triggered the ONT to reboot. Sent someone to replace the ONT and it hasn’t been an issue since, knock on wood.

YES! This! Same issue (well not every 24hrs and 1 minute, but multiple times a day), it's been driving me nuts! I have a UDM SE, connected to the Unifi Cable Modem on Cox. It was rock solid and then start to failover over to my secondary wan (T-Mobile Home Internet). I've updated DNS severs, changed from [ping.ui.com](http://ping.ui.com) to [8.8.8.8](http://8.8.8.8), no changes. I am at a loss. It's been going on for at least month or so. Still happening. Tom

mcdade

We are seeing this sort of thing on the UDM Pro with the latest firmware and Spectrum fiber at one of our locations

sammnyc

it runs a daily speed test at the same time , and during the test is when it actually observes the issue. it is probably happening at other times, but the test is when it picks it up.

niekdejong

Change your ARP cache timeout to something lower; e.g. 20s.

DryBobcat50

Yep, have it happening on multiple consoles. All up-to-date and been going on for months. Some wired, some using an LTE connection

nurvcom

I have few unfi setup. And my att fiber does this as well all the time I have Comcast at one site never have any issues

Competitive_Pool_820

I’m in the U.K. I have both wan 1 and 2 active. This is been happening since yesterday??? I genuinely thought it was my crappy primary internet.

Quiet-Breath-7196

Same here with UXG Pro with KPN glassfiber by sfp connection (Netherlands)

mk2rocco

Same problem here as well. I have att fiber using a BGW 320 setup in IP Passthrough. I get an outage every 24 hours plus 1 minute.

johannesfortuna

Same here. Managing two sites both with Comcast/Xfinity cable, both having the 24 hour +1 minute "packet loss". No errors logged on either of the cable modems that I can find, no degradation in connectivity.

itsmesid

I have disconnection every 24 hours and 10 mins later

dpaton

Yep. I've been seeing this for a year, across updates, and with 4 tickets left unresolved. ATT DSL.
