I love relating to characters so much. Especially when I’ve grown since their situations/feelings. It’s always so rewarding when you watch them do the same. The character growth for Betty was done so well over a long period of time and I agree, it was great seeing her realize about Jesse for herself!
I fell for a bit of a jesse recently 😬 its especially funny because i was always bothered by betty not seeing the obvious but i didn’t either (not right away at least)
I always thought Bree on Desperate Housewives was an idiot for not listening when her significant other's exes would warn her about what she was getting into, but when it happened to me, I was like "they're crazy, they must just be jealous" 😂🙈
Same, I related to it way more than her other relationships where men were falling head over heels for her. Like I get that it’s a soap opera and Betty having suitors lining up is fun.
But it was so relatable to see her just crushing it out on a cute guy that’s nice to her but way out of her league. Have been there with so many hot straight dudes.
Plus the actor (Val Emmich I think) was so charming and actually a great irl singer.
As a plane Jane here who was always the fat ugly one, I relate. I had many crushes when I was younger but was the DUFF. Only now do I see myself as being kinda pretty.
