So of course that makes it the most important safe-space in history. So for the very important people foolish enough to get news from Twitter this matters. For the other 99.9999% of the world, nothing of value has been lost.

The pipelines have not been destroyed by Ukraine , because despite them having every reason to, the Ukrainians don't want to commit a hostile act towards EU Member Hungary. There are still members of the EU who are purchasing Russian gas and/or oil, and the Russians and Ukrainians are avoiding fighting near the pipelines because the Russians need the money and the political influence over its good little puppets like Hungary's Fidesz party, and Ukraine needs to not piss off the EU. despite how rogue some of its members are its not a secret, everyone is aware of what is going on. except you apparentley. the Ukrainians would love to blow it up, but currentley, they can't
