Just so you know, Connor's the protagonist of the series. He gets more compelling, but since he's the protagonist and the entire plot revolves around him, you don't get the focus on his character that others do on their own chapters
If you've only read the first book, I would HIGHLY recommend reading the second and seeing how you feel after that. I was pretty happy with book one but the STARKEY came around and I was hoooooked.
