I knocked my brother out cold one time with hulk hands. They are not as padded as you'd think, my dad threw them away after that 😞

Me and my brother got Sockem' Boppers for Christmas one year. They lasted all of about 2 hours before my parents threw them away because me and my older brother were just wailing on eachother crying... 😅

We didn't get sockem boppers so we just taped balloons to our fists instead. Same result though.

Alternatively, buy pads at the same time and have fun sparring with your kid. Give them something safe that they're allowed to punch.

Pads first or pads and gloves together doesn't really matter. Just as long as you avoid the situation of a kid with boxing gloves and no acceptable targets to use them on. It's not fair to them to give them gloves without letting them have anything that they're allowed to use the gloves on.

Got my nephews boxing gloves and am teaching them how to box….. the youngest one went straight to the family jewels…..

It’s so fucking funny tho. When we got my son hulk hands…he wore them once and didn’t know what to do with em, so they just sat in a toy box for years. He’s the most gentle kid ever, total surprise from everyone being like “GET READY FOR A ROWDY BOY!” Meanwhile my daughter is the definition of chaos.
