The first camera is outdoor camera with wide angle, second one is door camera, feels normal tbh. If it was fake bike driver would do something other than to run away imo.
I'm curious though. If it were plainly labeled and that could be proven, would the victim be a willing participant in that case? Clearly they're not stopping long enough to read, but I feel that could be covered the same way EULAs are as well. "We can't make them read it, just agree they did."
Hey guys welcome back to the channel, today we will be upgrading the porch pirate bomb. This time we will be using a neutron source aimed at a cobalt target to turn the pirates house into an uninhabitable radioactive wasteland for 200 years!
Obviously this is just someone playing out the fantasy that all of us that have been victimized have dreamed about. I commend them the creators on a job well done. Thank you!
There is a line of fire after the explosion. I think there is some kind of rope or cable which was burned as trail to trigger the box. The reason him dropping the box might be someone's pulling the rope/cable .
If there's a fireball but no shockwave I don't think there'd necessarily be a huge shake. There's a reason hollywood movie fireballs don't liquify people's insides.
The fire was fake for 2 reasons. It erupted too slowly, like if the source of the explosion was 100 miles farther than the size of that driveway, meaning it would be the size of the house they are stealing from. And it had absolutely no effect on the camera's exposure, which, even for a security camera, would make the fire over exposed (way too bright) even in such a cloudy day. To their credit, though, picking a cloudy day makes it easier to fake stuff due to the lack of a direct light source from the sun, making for much softer and even shadows.
And where are the remains of the packaging.
And how did he catch fire on his back when the explosion happened in front of him.
And how did he know that there is fire on his back to start extinguishing it immediately (that would take a few seconds especially when you are wearing a helmet).
That I don't know, I only pointed out the obvious. Though, the more I look at the clip, the more questions I have.
What was in that box, and if it was delivered, why was it delivered and without any kind of fragile markings, and how didn't it explode during shipping but only that one moment it was dropped? Seems a little too extreme for something to be so casually delivered, or it wasn't a delivery but just some random box lying around, then why did they showed such interest in stealing it? Was it some flammable substance, which is the only reason that would make it possible to continue burning on the pavement, then what set it off?
I can only come up with 2 possible conclusions. Either that was an illegal trap that can endanger someone's life, or that was a stunt with some CG assist to make it seem more serious than it was.
The whole thing is staged that's the answer. The fire is CG but the rest is acted out. Read other comments about all the set up items the second camera on a tripod in the yard and he casually dropped the box on the ground for it to explode. Just people making content trying to get views.
Actual question: would it be legal to boobytrap a package so that it seriously harms the thief?
Wouldn’t it kind of be like having a live bear trap in your house and having an intruder step on it?
These guys are basically just doing the same job as delivery drivers, except snatching instead of delivering. Just fill out the application & get a check. That way, we can all see you on a different sub pretending to deliver & still taking the packages.
Let me just comedically throw myself into a trash can that for some odd reason has empty bottles stacked on it for extra comedy and oh btw multiple perfectly positioned cameras and for some reason they decided to put a rifle or shotgun leaning against the closed garage they obviously decide not to take? Too odd not to be fake.
So both people going to jail.
For reference. Traps like this are illegal. Doesn't matter if the person stole it to activate it. An elderly couple got found guilty for setting a trap in their home and someone broke in and set it off and lost a leg.
Didn't know Ring placed their cameras on tripods, but you can clearly see the 2nd camera behind that bush in the first angle. This is so fake and probably some garbage ad to sell Ring cameras. Vivint and Ring are ass. Don't waste your money.
Buy something equal or better 3rd party and pay less for more.
Also, when he drops it, it isn't on fire yet, but that box disappeared instantly, to be replaced by a can. And there is a perfect line on the ground. So it even looks like they may have edited the fire in, clipped to a second video of the stuntman being burnt and diving into the trash can. This is so fucking fake.
It looks like some kind of canon shooting the gas from the shrubs where the camera is placed. It doesn’t look like the box explodes. More like a flame thrower.
This is probably a fake (because who would risk lighting their house on fire by putting a bomb next to it).
...but just FYI, booby traps are illegal. There is no guarantee that only a prospective criminal will be the one to set them off. Imagine a girl scout tripping and falling on the box, or somebody delivering another package bumping it. There are an infinite number of ways somebody other than a package thief could accidentally set this thing off.
Even in the privacy of your own house, where you might imagine only a burglar would set off a trap, it's still illegal. What about emergency responders, for instance? Your house catches on fire, a firefighter rushes in, only to trigger a shotgun to the face. What if you end up in the hospital and your family decides to be nice and water your plants, or bring you some clean clothes? What if you die and the next person to - perfectly legally - enter the home gets killed or injured?
Even game traps are generally illegal for hunting because you have no guarantee that the desired animal is going to be setting it off. What about other hunters? Children? Endangered species? You don't know what will be setting off the trap. They're indiscriminate.
The last couple seconds I busted up laughing because the guy didn’t expect to catch fire in there staged attempt at stealing their own package, proceeded to attempt to take his shirt of while still wearing the motorcycle helmet.
There's a lot to unpack here. A rifle, or pellet gun, the tripod camera, the door open, the almost cgi effects of the fire. There's more, but I mean, this is clearly fake.
I noticed one crucial mistake; the box didn't explode until *after he dropped it.* Had he kept carrying it with no issue it would've been completely fine.
Can’t tell if it’s not staged but as much as porch pirates are scum don’t do this it can get you in a lot of trouble there is legal precedent https://youtu.be/bV9ppvY8Nx4?si=--e4xsSZtBN3toVG someone booby trapped a home with a shotgun … same could be applied here and you are on the hook for some serious injury and other legal expenses:/

Oh no! The pipe bomb I ordered is ruined!
Sorry but once detonated the return policy is void.
Could be fireworks, or compressed aérosole, lighter fluids, any dangerous items are meant to be properly labelled by Amazon with stickers
Or what it looks like. A fake
That’s a high possibility these days
And a good one that is. I enjoy watching these thieves getting hurt. If you steal my stuff, I don't give a fuck what happens to you.
I think they mean the video is fake. Notice how the camera angle changes right before the explosion?
That dude would've heard the music too.
and seen the giant floating hologram above the driveway that says ring . com
Also you can see the cutout for the deadbolt in the door frame when he’s grabbing the package.
Ohh, I read it wrong then lol
Yeah who the hell sets up a camera on a tripod for home security in their front yard? You can see it on the right in the first shot.
The first camera is outdoor camera with wide angle, second one is door camera, feels normal tbh. If it was fake bike driver would do something other than to run away imo.
Also there seems to be a rifle leaning against the garage door.
Definitely a fake or why would the motor bike be playing that music
and the driveway seemed to have floated up to the guys knees...???
I guess he didn’t see the rifle or pellet gun leaning against the garage door and we got 2 camera angles of it happening it was fake
For the confused, the second camera focused on the explosion and subsequent running around kind of confirm any doubts.
Probably, still pretty funny
An entertaining one at that.
if i remember right, some guy used an invisible fence to trigger a small gas bomb
Buddy, if that was the case, that package would have long since detonated before it made it all the way to that doorstep.
My first thought was "oh how clever, a small explosive triggered by a shock collar and invisible fence"
![gif](giphy|7k2LoEykY5i1hfeWQB)
They'll have to postpone their Govt building bombing another day.
If it was a pipe bomb I think he would have heard the mysterious ticking noise
No one noticed the rifle leaning against the garage.....??
That only becomes pivotal in the second episode.
Chekov’s rifle.
Or the way he purposefully launches himself into the garbage bin?
Or all the empty plastic containers atop the closed garbage bin?
Or the camera on the tripod?
Damn, nice catch. explains the sudden change in perspective
Or the open front door?
Pressure washing nozzle. You can even see sections of the ground that have and have not been washed near the front door and garage door
Pressure washers don’t have stocks, if I had to guess that’s an air rifle
Holy shit - great catch!
or that the front door is opened
What, I thought this was America..
or the that the front door is infact open..
Very first thing I noticed, looks like my old BSA
That's a pellet gun. Looks like a Gamo.
Plan B, in case the napalm didn't work.
Way better than a glitter bomb and some fart spray!
Can't believe no one thought of filling their box with fire before
Because it is illegal to set a booby trap. Even if what they are doing is illegal you can’t just have a trap set people on fire.
I'm curious though. If it were plainly labeled and that could be proven, would the victim be a willing participant in that case? Clearly they're not stopping long enough to read, but I feel that could be covered the same way EULAs are as well. "We can't make them read it, just agree they did."
No, likely not. I believe the issue with traps like this is the danger to first responders and children
Yes, I know. I was making a joke about filling a box with fire.
bummer
I agree with you. These fuckers need to learn a lesson or ten.
Not with that attitude. /s
Can't believe no one thought of filling their box with fire before
Mark Rober finally snapped.
Hey guys welcome back to the channel, today we will be upgrading the porch pirate bomb. This time we will be using a neutron source aimed at a cobalt target to turn the pirates house into an uninhabitable radioactive wasteland for 200 years!
“Also, Jim Browning and I got into 5 more scam locations in India. We’re sending those green goblin grenades that turn people into skeletons!”
No, just the logical way to go, after doing promotion for a DoD's contractor.
Looks fake. Dude throws it down and it bursts in flame.
He just happens to be in a fire proof suit as well
Obviously this is just someone playing out the fantasy that all of us that have been victimized have dreamed about. I commend them the creators on a job well done. Thank you!
There is a line of fire after the explosion. I think there is some kind of rope or cable which was burned as trail to trigger the box. The reason him dropping the box might be someone's pulling the rope/cable .
There's clearly a small can of something that rolls out of the box, there's no rope.
It's fire stock footage bro
The garage angle has the other “security cam” in view between the bushes and the garage.
This is a mediocre special effects edit for several reasons. But it's not real.
Him being on fire looked really good, but the explosion itself was not good, the camera would have been ovor exposed and/or shook
If there's a fireball but no shockwave I don't think there'd necessarily be a huge shake. There's a reason hollywood movie fireballs don't liquify people's insides.
Ah yes, you're right. I didn't even realize it was just a fireball, my brain just assumed it was an explosion
He might have actually done a fire stunt, I can't speak to that, didn't look at it closely.
Very risky and dangerous if it was Don't light yourself on fire kids
Hey, you gotta do what you got to do to get those views.
almost wooooshed myself
No one would blame you considering how often people call real things fake on here.
I bet this nerd thinks wrestling is fake, too.

Downvote for FSBV (fuckin staged bullshit video)
That's what happens if you don't carry the package arrows up
Satisfying AF
You really think this is real. Wow
Only real videos can be satisfying?
**FAKE**
fake but serves to scare potential thieves so it gets a thumbs up from me
Actual question: would it be legal to boobytrap a package so that it seriously harms the thief? Wouldn’t it kind of be like having a live bear trap in your house and having an intruder step on it?
Fuckem
That was nice. Fuck these people.
THAT is utterly satisfying! Thief MF’er with some instant karma. And is that a real rifle or a Pellet/BB-Gun leaning against the garage door?
Why does it do this though?
You could also have the package surrounded by trap doors, that automatically open when you walk over them like some bird traps
I'd have took the rifle instead
I love that for him
is that a rifle just casually leaning on the garage door?
Look just left of that. A tripod leg for a camera?
Scripted but holy shit this fucking hilarious 😂
It’s the Stig!
Excellent!!
![gif](giphy|NCjISbEPFxm48)
What…?
Mark Rober on steroids
"Honey, did that box of fire I ordered come today?"
That wasn’t the fakest video I’ve ever seen.
Yehh Fuck you
Satisfying.
And the oscar for the worst actor goes toooo
Don't you just love it when your multiple angles capture something as random as a dropped package at all the best angles
![gif](giphy|DQeeGxJPv3VHE7zNYD|downsized)

Is that a rifle leaning against the garage door lmao.
Sad thing is he could technically sue the person he was stealing from.
![gif](giphy|YmMwqVCtyxFRe|downsized) Vert der furk!
Sadly you would get a felony for the trap
Amazon: Your package (Box of fire) was delivered! Tell us how we did.
So both people going to jail. For reference. Traps like this are illegal. Doesn't matter if the person stole it to activate it. An elderly couple got found guilty for setting a trap in their home and someone broke in and set it off and lost a leg.

It was only a matter of time.
Good😈
Dude left his gun, unaccompanied, outside the house??? It’s right there!!!
Lol
that was a canned explosion in After Effects
Amazon will still refund.
Deputy McDonnough to the homeowner: “Turn to the right.”
Guy just leapt straight into that bin.
Why is there a gun by the garage door
Fake but funny
Gosh, I really needed that laugh today, thanks for posting this
Fake. Totally expected
I didn’t expect it to burst into flames for sure!! But I think the home owner sowed a healthy mistrust in the would be thieves.
Definitely more effective than the glitter bombs.
I didn’t expect it to burst into flames for sure!! But I think the home owner sowed a healthy mistrust in the would be thieves.
Where box go?
Fake AF
Ok stupid question, if you were to actually do this to a porch pirate, would you be in legal trouble for injuring him
Anyone notice the air rifle leaning against the garage door?
It looks like some kind of canon shooting the gas from the shrubs where the camera is placed. It doesn’t look like the box explodes. More like a flame thrower.
Bet they skip that place on their next shopping.
Wtf was in the box lmao
At least it hurt the thief and not the person who placed the order 😅
Here comes the Sun motherfucker
I'm loving the goofy jog to get in position to tumble in frame.
This is probably a fake (because who would risk lighting their house on fire by putting a bomb next to it). ...but just FYI, booby traps are illegal. This is one of those two-way illegal situations
The last couple seconds I busted up laughing because the guy didn’t expect to catch fire in there staged attempt at stealing their own package, proceeded to attempt to take his shirt of while still wearing the motorcycle helmet.
Fake and illegal. Booby traps and explosive traps are so illegal
Take your tripod out of the shot lol
Booby traps are illegal, but this was extremely satisfying to watch. 👀
![gif](giphy|gFK1KKaeCFl6KDckLE|downsized)
Fake as fuck, but if real then illegal. Can't set up booby traps.
There's a lot to unpack here. A rifle, or pellet gun, the tripod camera, the door open, the almost cgi effects of the fire. There's more, but I mean, this is clearly fake.
got 'em! just a prank bro!
What’s with the rifle/air gun leaning on the garage door?
u/savevideo
This is what I’m talking about serves you right you thieving mother fucker
So they bought multiple ring cameras with variable focal lengths and placed them at different locations and then edited the footage? Plausible…
I noticed one crucial mistake; the box didn't explode until *after he dropped it.* Had he kept carrying it with no issue it would've been completely fine.
Is that a gun on the side of the garage?
Gottem
Stunt reel?
![gif](giphy|Tbpc95JLaz4LC)
Deserved it
I support this 🤣, but I’ve been told it is illegal to set a trap for a thief or burglar ☹️
Mark rober is getting out of hand..
awesome!
That's the most cgi looking fire I have ever seen. Which add it more to the comedy
Fake
YES
Atf is coming to a home near you
Mark Rober is getting serious with these bait boxes.
Some people do glitter and fart spray, others do a fire bomb.
Cold
karma
I laughed. This made me happy ha
Bro, this idea cross my mind everyday, I'm glad that someone make this real
lol get coconut mall’d
Deserve it
And why is there a gun leaning up against the garage door
Mark Rober ain't got shit on this porch pirate deterrent.
https://i.redd.it/jqjpssw0kh5d1.gif
Definitely a skit but also unexpected!
Perfect cameras angles. Imagine its a little first time little boy mistake.
Fake and stupid
Who stole my nitroglycerin
The episode mark rober decided not to release
Too bad it's a felony
Truly unexpected
Dayum lmao
I think he got what he ordered
I would’ve could a fade
Who ordered nitroglycerine?
Where can I find videos like this?
