I had no idea that the collectors edition was gonna be this hard to get. I had the regular edition preordered since it was announced, but switched to the CE after playing the demo and didn’t have any issues. That was only, what, 3 weeks ago?
I’ve had the Switch CE edition on pre-order since November, and it was available up until recently on Amazon UK. Looks like the demo pushed the sales (which isn’t surprising). What is surprising is the CE was only available in a couple of stores, and not the most popular gaming stores. Guess it’s fairly limited?
My Amazon status is now showing as ‘Dispatching now’ which is a relief reading some comments.
For anyone in the US or Canada, the collector's edition for Switch is still available from VGP:

I looked at them when Amazon Switch orders were unavailable, but reviews of them constantly mentioned that they have everything as being in stock regardless of reality.
I assume you have grabbed an Xbox version off Amazon.co.uk? seems to be available right now.
Same thing happened to me. Unfortunately, in my case, it was for the Switch version which is impossible to get now. Thankfully for you, it's still available with a couple of the official retailers for the Xbox, so while it may now arrive late, at least it will be possible for you to still get yours.
Yeah, I went with a digital version expecting shit like this - having had previous experiences with Megaman Battlenetwork, Dragon Quest Monsters and Fire Emblem Engage

Yeah, normally I'd go digital to not miss release day. I did that for LADIF. For Vanillaware tho I really want that artbook, got two replacement orders now and hoping one of them comes through.

While I don't want to tell people what to do, it *really* seems like taking off work for a day 1 release is a bad idea. You constantly hear disappointment stories about it.
Well actually I took Friday and Monday off, the plan is get chores out of the way so I have more free time for UO when it gets here. My main worry was not receiving it at all, if it gets here on Saturday it's not the end of the world.
Sorry mate. The demo kicked up their numbers for sure. Hopefully though other companies see this and start putting out demos like that. Thanks for taking one for the team lol. 😂
Hmm. The fact that Gamestop hasn't sent me a shipping notification while other gamestop customers are supposed to get their copies today has me worried I'll be getting one of these as well. I just hope they notify me with enough time to find an alternate seller.

it's vanillaware, even their normal physicals are limited prints.

Switch version is available at Best Buy as of this post. It's also been going in and out of stock on Amazon.
