Why does he have to 'agree to' anything? He lost a significant civil judgment and owes what he owes. Aren't there collection agencies who will do this for him whether he likes it or not? Perhaps the plaintiffs could use a (not insignificant) portion of their judgment to hire some help to collect from him?

You just need to be able to read and understand the bankruptcy code because 'malicious injury' is listed as one of the exceptions of discharging debt. It's just like Trump won't be able to discharge his civil fraud judgment of half a billion dollars because fraud is also an exception to discharge. But you know he'll try it because it stalls payment of the judgment.
No he doesn't have to agree, of course the court's decision can be enforced anyway, but it goes smoother and less painfully all around if he does agree.
I’m sure there are numerous ways in which he could approach making the payments. Liquidating his assets is one of them, and he’s agreed to do that rather than fight it or drag it out. The same way that somebody with a warrant can agree to enter custody, as opposed to make a run for it.

His followers harassed the parents relentlessly for years. Th parents sued and won millions of dollars so he has to sell his shit to pay for it. (Might not be exact numbers above but he is 100% a piece of shit for tormenting grieving parents for years)
