You could use (4) Aja Ki Pro Ultra 12G recorders. Check with them, but I remember their sales rep describing a gang-recording function where multiple of their recorders can be controlled together and would make synchronous files. Not cheap, but I’m pretty sure it will work.

We use a Sony PWS-4500 for 4K multi-camera recordings. It can record up to 4x 4K streams in XAVC, DNxHD or ProRes, and 8x HD streams. £££££ solution though.
You could also gang together 4K-capable Blackmagic Hyperdecks and use [Hyperdeck Panel](http://hyperdeck.iamjeffamato.com/). Certainly the latest Hyperdeck Studios you can put in remote mode and [hitting record on the first will trigger the rest](https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/hyperdeckstudio/multicam) without the need for a computer interface. AJA Ki Pros have similar functionality from memory. With these ganging solutions you will still need to be offloading multiple SSDs at the end of the record, however.
I have one of the blackmagic 8k 12g cards. With VMIX software it can record 4 x 2160P. However it codec options you may find unacceptable for your work flow. (and no smpte tc).
Unfortunately, the ATEM ISO recordings on the local hard drive are only 1080. If you’re doing 4K, you have to record the 4K in each camera and then you can do a conform/replace of the 1080 ISO files with the 4K files in Divinci Resolve using the project file the ATEM records.

Can confirm on the gang recording side, I do it all the time. They just need to be networked together and have ip addresses on the same block

If that’s the case, that explains why it’s not easy to find that info on BMD’s product page.
