Idk, how did 2023 EG look in the beginning? Oh yeah they got 13-0ed by loud. Then they got to masters by sheer luck THEN popped off. If we learned anything about potter and EG it’s don’t estimate them.
There was another thread some guy ate down votes for pointing out that EG in the early part of 2023 was considered one of the worst teams in Americas.
However, it's not fair to say they got to Masters by sheer luck. Yeah the MIBR incident got them there but they went 4-5 in the qualifier group stages which was still better than most expected of them. They were not expected to beat Sentinels and Leviatan at the very least, maybe 50/50 against Kru and MIBR at the time.
The 4 wins were all them but 100T losing to MIBR was entirely unexpected by everyone because 100T seemed better and they hella choked in most people’s opinion, so it wasn’t entirely luck but they undeniably got lucky
apoth was on the scrim team that was dominating teams during champs in scrims along with overwatch who is no slouch they may not be better individually but as a team they could be scary.
On paper, they’re definitely worst. But, with the little time that they had, they showed some potential. I think their ceiling is somewhere top 4 in Americas. I fully believe any team with Potter can steal a win from the top teams in Americas.
