He just got frustrated on icebox and stopped talking and then PRX won most of the defense half. Then he didn't talk at all during bind and they won 9 rounds in a row. Was literally a mute stream lol
I've thought about this during madrid too. Idk who the opponent was but it was sunset and when fns would say something like "david's got this" davai would lose 
Something was also one of the brains behind PRX comp, the other was Forsaken. Also don't forget that all of the PRX players are IGLing quite often. Iirc there's a scene in one of their vlog where they discuss strats and something and forsaken was the ones who discuss it. Alecs also stated that both of them often came with a crazy comp just hours before the match.
What kind of took me by surprise is if you hear some of their older voice comms, something is the voice of reason telling his team not to overpeak and chill hold site
On some maps, he doesn't really make a huge impact tbh, but still getting important frags when it mattered most. I thought he was the weak links in PRX last year, because guys like Mindfreak and Divine dropped like a 1v2, 1v3 twice every half. Until, I saw him on stream locking Jett on rank and DESTROY everyone lol.

i think this reaffirms that paper rex are the most unstoppable team when given momentum early in the game. after the first 6 rounds of bind they were pretty much running on inertia alone
that said i don’t think geng are feeling too bad about this. with their 3 champ points from kickoff they can afford to test out their new stuff and see where it falls short (icebox) — it was brutal watching that comp try to break into a site when prx would just play up. poor texture just tping in probably wishing he was on jett

Monyet was good on Paper Rex - great even towards the end of Madrid - but this series really showcases just how essential Jinggg is to the PRX hivemind. That was esp. apparent on Lotus, the one map where Monyet consistently was out of sorts with the PRX playstyle.
But more than that, I think this is just a team that has had more time to build on their Madrid reps, fill out their map pool, and reintegrate Jinggg. They added *a lot* of stuff to their maps.
They've been working really, really hard. It looks like PRX has gone to the team struggling the most with meta concerns (at the T1 global level) back to the meta-leading team that we know and love.
There’s nothing too huge to worry about Gen. G - even Karon came out strong after an uncharacteristically bad Lotus - but just as we talk about challenging PRX until you can prove you can beat them, it’s starting to seem like Gen. G has a similar issue of sorts.
If we expect Gen. G to contend to, or even win international LANs, I do think it's valid to keep an eye on their capacity to maintain composure under adversity - even if no team destroys confidence like PRX. It's something to watch out for in the lead-up to Shanghai.
All that aside, PRX needs this win way more, so it's good for the region's health that they won this match.

I think most APAC teams always keep in mind that the counterplay to PRX is adaptability, and in the last two maps, genG relied on their practices setplays and stratbook rather than do some improvisation, which costed them, even map 1 had some instances of individual play getting them through, rather than the macro, all in all, they did fight good, and have solidified that their kickoff win was well earned
And yes, prx needed this, to get Jinggg back up firing on all cylinders
I mean PRX already said they had comp problems and their confidence was 6/10 on Madrid. I am really excited to see them face SEN and NRG. They dominated GENG today.

lmao ain't it funny how people are always putting mindfreak in these replacement scenarios? he has one average tournament and people have been doubting his fit, his individual playstyle, or his aim ever since he joined the roster. he keeps shutting them up but it's like the vultures are always circling. none of the other members had to go through this, even benkai wasn't ever called out for his lack of firepower.
These guys only see the overrated ratings without actually watching the game. Mindfreak always prove his clutch potential and his game sense is great when davai is dedge.

PRX looked good coming out of Madrid too so I’m not shocked at their performance rn but GenG look a lot sloppier on their attack sides compared to Madrid which is concerning. .. Maybe their grouped up attack sides were a part of the game plan seeing they are playing against PRX but who knows.
Super fun series, I think if GenG had a little more wiggle room they might have brought it back on Bind Defense but Paper Rex's aggressive Defense was impeccable.
