In early 2023 when everyone was shitting on EG (before demon1 acquisition) and hyping up sen as NAs last hope or something (or maybe nrg? I don’t remember) EG was making quite a few good plays. Obviously most of the normal rounds were bad, hence why they lost, but sometimes they popped off hard. They were able to execute solid ideas even with a roster that was statistically poor on paper, most likely because those ideas were adapted to the strengths of that roster.
A good coach plays to the strengths of their team; it doesn’t force the team to conform to a certain accepted style. Obviously you still need to have solid aim in a game based around aim, but I wouldn’t sleep on them; they might be able to make it work even without an asuna or zekken or demon1.

As much as I dislike SEN, this is impossible. SEN has too many shooters and even if they get antistratted, they still defo win all the duels. Tenz and Zekken are just a different breed and also John has been insane this season.
Potter and EG are going to be the first team to punish Sen’s light shield use by buying an outlaw, which will force Sen to buy full shields and will lead to them having fewer rifle rounds.
This feels like it should be the time this ends but I'm not counting them out, they might be less talented but the gap at these levels isn't that much and if Jawg is really on then it could be very close. Still think Sen take it but hope it's fun.
