It was the flu. If we didn’t go to medical we probably would have just been able to keep walking around but my husband was sick enough that we had to go to see if he could get some meds.
Helped in that we had a big room and a nice balcony but all the other perks of being a rockstar were wasted. We also couldn’t really enjoy the fully stocked mini bar because of illness.
You can take it home w you and enjoy it when you are better! MyLove, the drinker between the two of us, was nauseated most of our trip. I brought five unopened bottles home.
I hope you feel better soon!

Interesting. In April I had bronchitis on Valiant. Great medical care. I was charged for all of it, though. I was not quarantined, but I would consider it communicable. Was happy to pay.
Oh yes. They have everything. I even asked for a specific antibiotic and they had that one. I also had a chest X-Ray and breathing treatments with 3 different kinds of aerosols.
I can't find the itemization, at the moment. But I had 2 visits, one was $146 and one was $195. Each had multiple line items in it. So it's certainly less than either of those amounts.
Tuesday! After Roatan my hubs started feeling worse and worse. Had a sore throat, cough, fever. Went to medical on Thursday and tested positive for the flu. They gave us free Tamiflu which was nice.
My first cruise I’m curious am I allowed to bring NyQuil liquid gels with me? I am not sick but wondering if that’s allowed just in case I catch something. Thanks!
Did they reimburse you for the days you were quarantined?
$749 in future cruise credit.
Do you get free room service for being quarantined?
We were “rock stars” so the ship eats are already delivered free. So yes.
How is the movie selection? Any good titles? Last time I was on board they had some good 80s stuff.
We watched the Barbie Movie, the latest Mission Impossible, Indiana Jones and the whatever the most recent is…. They had a good selection!
Were you forced to quarantine? Just wondering what would of happened if you didn't go to medical and get tested ? Also was it COVID or the flu ?

So you are in Valiant. Have they changed the name of the Wi-Fi? Or is it still Mermaid4U (or something like that)?

Has being rockstar helped you in this situation or has it gone largely to waste?

Was there any cost or fee for going to medical?
No cost if it’s a communicable disease. Not sure what it would cost if it wasn’t covid or flu.

Did they give you meds too? I was curious if they had antibiotics as well.

We are currently onboard and need an X-ray. Do you recall roughly how much they cost? They haven't told us the prices yet and we are a bit concerned.

Thank you!
Did you only get Ship Eats food or could you order from any restaurant menu?
Only ship eats.
Which day did you catch it? We’re on the cruise and have thankfully avoided the bug

Did they charge you $7 ship eats delivery charge per food order ???
As a rockstar it’s waived already so I don’t know.

Yep! I highly suggest packing a little medicine kit. Have so much fun!!
