Just be sure to keep up on basic maintenance. Frequent oil changes, keep an eye out for leaks and if the coolant pipe tee begins to split.
Out of curiosity, have you ever had the timing belt changed? Volvo recommends every 90k(or so) miles or 10 years.
The timing belt and coolant tee splitting are the biggest killer of these cars. Other than that, they are strong, reliable and relatively cheap to maintain if you do DIY maintenance.
Last week, I bought a new to me, but assuredly not new, 2013 C30. 175k on it. I took it to a shop to check the timing belt, since the used car lot I bought it from had no service records. Amazingly, they think the belt is original! Very dry rotted and still faintly shows the Volvo logo. Needless to say, it is getting a new timing belt/water pump service as we speak.
Yeah, if I had known I would have just driven it right to the shop, at most. Instead, I drove it around a few hundred miles over the weekend.
Oh, well, dodged that bullet. Rest of the car checked out fine, no major issues. With a new timing belt, and baselining of all the consumables (filters, fluids, etc) she should be good to go.
Just figured I'de share since you have an older c30 as well, have you replaced the vacuum ejector?
I replaced mine recently and it really helped the car feel like it used to. Better throttle response and helped with the long term fuel trim levels (gas mileage essentially.)

12 years, 105000, and still going strong! Still feels new to me even after all these years. Kept it in as good condition as possible and never skimped on any maintenance or repairs.
Won't have it much longer though. Being traded in for something newer, bigger, and electric (still a Volvo). I'm sad about it but also happy to have a new vehicle on the way.
having this low of mileage after 13 years is blowing my mind. How? Do you just... not drive at all? I have a 2020 XC40 that I bought w/ 10k miles in 2021 and I've already hit 50k lol
I can't take credit for the super low miles. I bought it in 2022 with only 28k on it. I've driven 2600 mile trip and it's also my daily. So in reality I only drive aprx 5k miles a year
Nice!
I'm almost to 192k with my 18 year old V50, the T5 still pulls pretty good after 50k miles of my abuse.
Just curious, has your C30 ever had the timing belt replaced? You're well below the mileage (42k is crazy low), but I've heard that the general rule is 60k-100k miles or 10 years. It might be worth it to just take a peak and make sure there's no cracking if you haven't already.
If you don't have service history for it and it looks rough I'd go for it. You can pop the engine covers off and check the belt. If you do the timing service make sure to get good quality tensioners and water pump, definitely not something to cheap out on.
My V50 will be due for one around 200k miles (unless I swap a refreshed engine in)
If only my c30 still had such low mileage. 194k and running strong.
That's reassuring to hear though. I'm gonna drive this car until the end of time

I would be afraid to turn it over just to move it at that point, holy shit.

Just hit 200k on my 2010 C30. Engine is just about driven in now.

Ugh I wish I only put up 5k a year. One year I put 33k on my v70.

It’s ready to party ha ha
NIIIICE, I’m about to hit 69k in my 2011 c30 T5
Nice!
It blows my mind when I see such low mileage but awesome nonetheless. Got a 2018 V40 in Jan last year, already put 40k km on the clock 😅
I'm over at 255k miles and going strong. It will keep going. Just fix things as they need fixing
Love that!
All I can say is “Nice low Mileage”
Dang!! Low miles!! My 09 is even fairly low at 120k but I’ve really had no major issues thus far! Owned it almost 3 years now since 96k miles

Good to hear. I just bought one last week. T5 v50 @ 213k km (132k mi). Definitely doing a timing belt ASAP.

2013 C30 with 64k miles so far
I miss my r-design
I caught both [69420](https://i.imgur.com/auV8eVw.jpeg) and [80085](https://i.imgur.com/a6PiT4l.jpeg) on my C30.
Nice!! I'm gonna do my best to get them too!
Can you please share why you feel any of these numbers are special?
69 420, funny numbers 80085 spells "BOOBS"
Nice
How do y'all like your cars so much but never drive them?
I'm fortunate that I love close to both work and my gym. I enjoy every second I'm in it!
