I used to also have anxiety about bees, wasps, hornets, basically anything that buzzes. For me, it helped to dive into some research and learn as much as I could. I really like the book Endless Forms by Seirian Sumner. Getting to know more about these animals was helpful for me to understand what causes them to sting so I can avoid those situations, as well as opening the door for me to see them as individuals. I currently work at a nature preserve, and I know some individual paper wasps that recognize me, they're my buddies.

The only wasps that fly towards you for no reason are the mud daubers bc they fly super weird and even they aren't trying to attack you (even if they did they have the least painful sting of the insect world). The other wasps don't even come near you unless you're really stupid and actually hit their nest (once I was even able to put my hand just over a wasp nest that had a ton of them and NONE attacked me, but I just breathed wrong and a stupid bee attacked me a few minutes later). You should be scared of mosquitoes, be wary of bees and relax when you're around wasps πŸ‘

I don't know how so many people are scared of wasps but are super chill with bees of any kind, bees (especially carpenter bees) always try to dive bomb me

carpenter bees are just so chunky i cant help but love themπŸ₯Ή

They are scary af they sound like helicopters and they are huge, the only reason I don't hate them is because they pollinate πŸ’€

πŸ˜πŸ˜‚i feel like it’s hard for them to control where they go bc of their weightπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
