Get up at 8:55 so I have time to feed my cat. Login.

Same as before, minus the commute. So basically, get up, realize I'm late, panic a bit, shower fast, dress, get the kids fed and bags packed for school, throw them in the car, come home, make some coffee, sit for 5mins looking out the window, and then log on to my work computer in my office. I mean that's my reality. The reality of other people is that it's theirs, and sometimes the plans all work out but it's organized chaos for the majority of people from what I hear from coworkers. You have the "workout for 3 hours before getting to work" to the "I took a nap at 10am" people but somehow the work still gets done. Find your own rhythm - keep a log of the things you're trying to see if they're working for you. I had a friend who would read the same comic book(s) every morning because he found that scrolling on his phone was distracting and caused a spiral. So you have to find the thing that works for you (and your family/housemates).

Get up. Eat. Play with cats. Make coffee. Play with cats. Drink coffee. Play with cats. Make coffee for work. Play with cats. Work. Eat supper. Shower. Sleep with cats. Repeat. I don't get much Play time during the week. Have no more kiddos to tend too.

I clock in at 5:30, but set my alarm for 5:15 which allows for one single snooze. Then I log in, feed the cats and start some coffee. Thankfully my job is not phone related where I need to be “ready to go” when I log in.

I get up get ready get the kids off to school baby to nursery. I then have breakfast and a coffee before I go to my desk. If I didn’t have kids I might read a bit in the morning or go for a walk before I start.

I get up the time I would have if I needed to commute. I take my dog for a walk for like 45 minutes or so. When I get back I cook a nice breakfast for my wife and daughter. We all sit around and talk for a bit until my wife either goes to sleep (she works overnight) and my MIL shows up to watch my daughter or days my wife is off I go to my office and build model kits for a bit. I like to try and spend time being productive and active before my day starts.

Wake up 2 hours before work. Get my daughter ready for school. Work out 1 hour before work and then make smoothie for breakfast. I also clean up the kitchen a bit before work so it’ll be tidy when I make lunch. I eat my lunch on my desk and then shower during my lunch break.

Wake up, shower and dress, do makeup as if I would go into an office (though I'm a minimalist there so you can hardly tell I'm wearing it anyway), get the kids up and to school, come home, quick check on the outdoor animals, then fill my water cup before I turn on my computer. One of my coworkers and I do Wordle in the mornings and compare scores. Gives us a bit of non-work moment to just be engaged in dialog.

I wake up and set aside some time to read, after showering, making my bed, picking up any spaces I’ll be in throughout the day, and having breakfast!

I get up roughly 1.5 hours before I start to make sure my teen gets up and off to school on time. I feed my dogs, start coffee, empty the dishwasher (or run it if it was a busy night before) and then I get ready for work, grab my coffee and log on. Nothing spectacular, but it's enough to wake me up and get me ready for my day.

a_freezy

I wake up around 6:30, get myself ready. I wear makeup and do my hair most days since I have a lot of external video calls. Then I get my 2yr old daughter up and ready for the day. I read or scroll my phone while she's eating breakfast. At 7:30 my goodness takes her to daycare and I make myself breakfast and coffee, load/unload dishwasher and log in to work around 7:45/8

First alarm goes off at 730 and the lights come on. Grab my phone, check email and social media, as well as do a quick scan of videos from my porch camera. Second alarm goes off at 800, so I get up, make bed, get dressed, do my morning skincare and basic grooming, then feed the cats. That takes me to about 815, so I set a 15 minute timer for checking my bank account, electric usage, and the news. 830, grab my breakfast and review the day's to-do list. At 845, my Google Home announces that it's time to log in, so I meander over to my desk and am logged in right at 9am, when my shift starts.

Kitteh_Katt

Scheduled to commence at 9am: Wake up at 8:50am, tell my team hello on the Microsoft Teams app on my phone, start my laptop, go make a coffee and breakfast, return to my desk at 9:30am for a formal meeting.

I would advise you to create a list of tasks you need to accomplish a night before. Set them up in a particular order starting from the most important task to the least important one. This will help you spend the next day with a proper schedule in place. It will take time but the results are worth the effort.
