In the modern era, it's one of the best, and I think it's at least in the conversation for being the best.
All time, it's hard to say, really. Part of the reason it stands out so much now is that so many themes are indistinguishably generic. If you had this song while Jim Johnson was at the helm and every theme was a banger, I'm not sure it would stand out so much.
But in context, it's excellent.
The song is what saved him this go around as far as gimmicks go, harsh fact. The song itself is just an Imagine Dragons track. All chorus and cringe lyrics. It's catchy AF 😆
Great entrance song. Actually a full song with verse chorus verse chorus breakdown etc unlike a lot of entrance themes that only have one musical part repeated. Interesting when the entrance goes longer and it’s that different screaming section. So, I’d never listen to Cody’s theme outside of seeing him perform. It’s not as good as the Judgement Day song by Alter Bridge.
All time? Like bottom 20-40%.
Asice from the whoa, it's generic pop rock that lacks that characteristic that intertwines perfect with the person or character.
It’s ok for the WOAH. But as we all know, the best theme songs are made from the first sound of to.. glass shatter, if you smell, GONG.. etc. no theme song is remembered unless it has that pop when you hear it first.
I completely agree with this. I always thought Brock’s was weak for this reason. I think Rollins and Knight have strong ones for this reason. Who do you think has one that ranks in this standard today?
Love it but there is no way Cody isn’t sick of it. On the Pat McAfee show yesterday Cody must have been doing the rounds there for media(the same for Friday I’m sure) and with Pats show being at WWE world you could hear Cody’s song being played in the background which was probably him making an appearance on a show. I must have heard it 10 times not including him being on Pats show. I think he does it for the fans but I’m sure he really enjoys not hearing it on his days off.
Cena, Punk Cult of Personality, Taker Rollin’, are good pop songs. Good atmospheric music like Roman or Goldberg. Good big sound like glass shatters or the chiming bell. Cody’s stupid song is lame like him but also utterly likeable and endearing in the right context. The absolute worst song though is Sami I hate those dumb ska horns
Yeah. His theme is super stale now that he’s not that happy ska kid anymore. I still like the song though, and anything that an audience can sing along with is gold
It's around the level of RA's themes, which is a massive compliment. The song is perfect for Cody's character, which is the entire point of a theme. The only thing the theme needs to establish now is its legacy, and I think that's the deciding factor between the other themes that are also perfect for a wrestler.
I'd say that Kingdom is only below the tippy-top of best themes, so tracks like Electrifying and its past variations (e.g. Is Cooking), Rest in Peace, The Time Is Now, I Won't Do What You Tell Me, and No Chance in Hell.
The song itself is not that great. Intros with more music early make more sense since it's talked over like crazy by announcers for most of the fanbase at home.
Tbe gimmicks of singing along with the intro have to deal with most of the intro of a song or the fighter itself. Like LA Knights YEAHHHH
In today's crop, it's near the top. Especially with the generic "Indy Game BGM" stuff being cranked out by def rebel. But amongst the heavyweights? Off the top of my head...
"Real American"
"Also sprach Zarathustra"
"Pomp and Circumstance"
"The Time is Now"
"I Walk Alone"
"Rest in Peace"
I don't think it's on that level. It's a tier down from those songs.
It does what it should do, and what so many themes today fail to do. I know within two seconds who is coming out without having to look at the screen or have the announcers tell me. The first chord of the song? I know Cody Rhodes is coming out. That's what a good wrestling theme should be. I should know within three seconds who is coming to the ring.
You could probably put a handful of Undertaker's themes above anything on the current roster.
I have no idea why you have Rollins in there, though. The music is fine, but it sounds like 3 different themes smashed together - which makes sense, because that's pretty much exactly what it is.
I am serious in that the better ones should just start with an instrumental. It leads to more growth. Cody's starts with sound being cut off...which is just odd. The bands are going to have to constantly return and change it depending on his era. Guarantee the intro is gonna be the same.
SC and Taker made the brand. Different beasts. Even Triple H will stand with me a bit, I won't forget "it's all about the game, and how you play it, it's all about control and if you can take it" and I haven't seen him fight in a long time
The song has severely grown on me I can’t believe it. Being there live is unreal
Top 10
It’s not Punk’s (mostly because that’s not just a great entrance, but one of the greatest punk tracks of all time) but it’s pretty good
I like it bc everyone sings along and I feel like that in itself wins people over but it sounds like it could be the theme song of a kids show.
Top 5 of all times
ADRENALINE IN MY SOUL A MIDDLING THEME FOR CODY RHODES
In the modern era, it’s super over. All time, it sucks and shouldn’t even be in the same conversation with the Jim Johnson themes.

The Other Side vs Metalingus
All time? Like bottom 20-40%. Asice from the whoa, it's generic pop rock that lacks that characteristic that intertwines perfect with the person or character.
That seems harsh - it's nowhere near as generic as most of what we've had since JJ left, and even some of his efforts weren't exactly memorable.
They just played in London at champions league match it’s taking over the world
It was at Arsenal's game. The DJ for the stadium is a huge WWE fan and plays WWE themes every game at half time when the teams walk out
WWE been hot af arsenal do it for clout
Well Arsenal have been doing it for over 2 years now
Yh so when wwe was already rising rapidly
Good info good job by the dj
It's ok for cop rock. Just sick of that genre in WWE.

Even MVP had a good one, no?

Can you imagine how it must feel to work Seth's schedule with the piece of shit theme he's forced to listen to?

You’re getting downvoted but you’re absolutely correct. Ridiculous that these themes are considered great by today’s audience.
Yeah. His theme is super stale now that he’s not that happy ska kid anymore. I still like the song though, and anything that an audience can sing along with is gold
It’s ass.
It’s a little campy but that’s what it’s all about, I love it

I loved it more in AEW when the whole song is shitting on wwe. It’s still good but lost some of its Luster for me

lol
Honestly, it's not that high for me. I can make a list when I get off work.
It's good but it's no Shinske

It's one of the worst. It's so try-hard and cringey, it reminds me of Alex Riley's theme. It's a "PLEASE take me seriously as a top star!!!!!" theme.
Higher than most of what def rebel pumps out.
Higher than everything*** def rebel pumps out
at the very bottom
1. The Undertaker 2. Stone Cold Steve Austin 3. John Cena 4. Triple H 5. SETH freakin ROLLINS 6. Cody Rhodes 7. Roman Reigns head of the table
You could probably put a handful of Undertaker's themes above anything on the current roster. I have no idea why you have Rollins in there, though. The music is fine, but it sounds like 3 different themes smashed together - which makes sense, because that's pretty much exactly what it is.
I just vibe with it imo. I’ll be blasting that shit at 2 am
And Roman's is only that low cause it's an instrumental. If you threw up the 1 you were singing it. If you didn't...haha..you're a filthy 2 🤢
I mean Undertaker and SCSA are at the top of the list and both instrumentals but cope how you need to I guess

Shut up
You could have just as easily shutup yourself and not heard from me lmao
Don't care. Took me 2 seconds to type.
Same
Love putting Rollin' by Limp Bizkit at #1
I memorized Takers theme after a few years too “Gong”
It isn't a gong.
I loved his 1998 version he used for that Rumble and mania
Verse 2, lights out
I can hear this comment.
