It has to be Lesnar, multiple WM and Summerslams main events during these years, but Seth is also historic

frankmurph66

Seth

Nerak_B

Brock & Seth. All wrestlers usually had more than 1 nemesis. Austin’s greatest rivals were Vince & The Rock

BoneyRL

Lesnar imo

NiD2103

Seth no doubt

Forevermore668

Oh its Seth nobody has done as much of psychological wound to Roman. Brock has always been a great physical obstacle but he's not mentally all that intresting as either a villain or hero. Cody is a wonderful hero but he hasn't been there the entire time.

volrjr4

I think seth will solidify himself as Roman’s greatest rival down the road. As of this moment I would say Brock. Also Kevin Owens is a “slept on” / “darkhorse” choice

itsnever2late4now

Leukemia.

NiD2103

That’s fucked up

Idriss_Derras

Seth and I hope he does a feud with him before retiring because this shit would be great. Especially with Roman's improvement on the mic

AlphaX808

Seth is without question. Roman never beat him. He had a chance to retain his title but the memory of Seth’s betrayal is living rent free in his head. He couldn’t let it go and had to get revenge in doing so he lost it all, again.

domesystem

Clearly Seth

[deleted]

[удалено]

ZakariusMMA

Nah that's his biggest ally (in wrestling terms). He gets to have an off period that allows him to build a completely new character and look, and he gets to be there less so when he's there, he has presence and people hate him for it too, and that's a great thing you know cos he's heel.

Lopsided_Attempt_520

L comment from both of you

SilverIndication9956

100% Seth. He’s not only the one that’s completely affected Roman more than anyone else from the shield attack, but he’s also the only one he’s never been able to beat when it counts.

Frosty-Lake-1663

L.A Knight. Sure Cody beat him but nobody ever truly cucked him the way L.A walked straight past him during his intro then sat at the head of the table.

OMGitsHer

😹😹😹 L.A knight YEAH

Laterally_Me

A different choice, Kevin Owens.

Dfinestpunk

In DBZ terms Brock=Broly Seth=Vegeta Cody=Cell so it's clearly Seth.

Lilscooby77

Roman is Goku?

SebzeroNL

Cody is mora of a future Trunks

Lost-Veterinarian-80

Like others have said, it’s Seth. It isn’t as frequent as Brock, but they’re seemingly always in each others orbits. And the last few years have really amped up the hatred.

No_Injury_1833

Has to be Brock. Only guy who has had his number + he basically stole Heyman from him. Seth is probably his greatest story colleague, but not his toughest in-ring nemesis.

SilverIndication9956

Uh what are you talking about? Roman’s literally never beaten Seth in any big match

No_Injury_1833

You just proved my point— I said his feud with Seth isn’t big enough with in-ring history to be more than his rivalry with Brock. His history with Seth is all out of the ring, on the mic, and in other facets. Troll elsewhere if you aren’t able to understand.

SilverIndication9956

What point? You said Roman’s the only guy who’s had his number even though Brock won like 2-3 matches vs Roman before Roman was able to beat him, and you said Seth isn’t his toughest nemesis when I’d say the toughest nemesis would be the only one Roman can’t ever beat

No_Injury_1833

I said that Brock has had Roman’s number. You need to read closer before you skip over to hearing yourself talk again. You’re not making sense.

SilverIndication9956

Frankly, saying Brock has Roman’s number really doesn’t make any sense since Roman’s won the last few matches, just like saying Roman has his number doesn’t make sense since Brock beat him multiple times in a row. The only person that has anyone’s number is Seth having Roman’s

No_Injury_1833

Brock has had Roman’s number more than anyone else. Show me with data how Seth has Roman’s number. Please. I’m waiting

SilverIndication9956

They literally built their 2022 feud off of that. Seth was the one that walked out of mania 31 as champion, Seth beat Roman at mitb, Seth beat Roman at the start of a gauntlet match, and when they faced each other in 2022, Roman had to get himself disqualified because he couldn’t beat him. Brock has beaten Roman a total of 3 times, 1 of which being in a steel cage match where Roman speared Brock through the cage and Brock was technically the one out first because of it, though I’m pretty sure Roman also technically touched the bare ground first since Brock’s back landed on the cage. Roman has beaten Brock a total of 4 times, all 4 of them being in their last 4 matches, so in what way has Brock had Roman’s number?

SilverIndication9956

I wasn’t sure if you meant Brock or Roman since they’ve beaten each other multiple times, but when you said he stole heyman from him, made it seem like you were talking about Roman saying Roman both has Brock’s number and he stole heyman from him

No_Injury_1833

I’m saying for the depth of reasons (Head to head rivalry) and that they both share Heyman, it is a better and bigger feud than Seth. I hope it all makes sense now. Next time just ask a question instead of going on a rant?

SilverIndication9956

Does Brock get into Roman’s head the same way Seth does? No. If Brock was in Seth’s spot, Roman can attack Brock or Cody with that chair, would’ve Roman attacked Brock? No, he’s attacking Cody. He attacked Seth because of how personal it was to him. The only thing Brock has ever had is being the most threatening person to Roman in terms of he’s Brock lesnar and he’s dominant, but them both sharing Paul doesn’t suddenly make it more than what Roman has very clearly shown to have with Seth.

No_Injury_1833

Did you want to be granted a win on your opinion? Cause that’s not how opinions work. Also, you just said yourself that Brock is the bigger threat haha. I said Seth is Roman’s best storyline, but Brock is the bigger rival because they are more evenly matched.

SilverIndication9956

No, I said he’s the most threatening because he’s Brock Lesnar, meaning regardless of who it is, he’ll always be the biggest threat to anyone he’s facing, but that doesn’t equal being the best rival. If we say that, then we’re saying every person he’s ever feuded with, John cena, Seth Rollins, triple h, undertaker, and more, he’s their best rival, not because of anything story wise and how much he’s affected anyone, but because he’s Brock lesnar

Ricoh881227

Seth and roman is liked SCSA and the Rock.. They both cant get a win only right up until when one of them retired..

sikontoure

Past: Brock Current: Cody Future/Retirement: Rollins

matt_619

It has to be Seth. no other came close It was Seth that shaped Roman entire personality. Seth gave him scar that he still not able to get over to this day. and Seth remain the only person Roman never managed to beat in 1v1

Specific-Channel7844

In kayfabe absolutely Brock Lesnar. Me personally probably still Brock but very much debatable.

SilverIndication9956

I don’t think I’d say it’s Brock. He and Brock have beaten each other multiple times, but they don’t have even a quarter of the history Seth has with Roman, and Roman’s never beaten Seth when it counts

Specific-Channel7844

They have main events WrestleMania against each other 3 times, plain and simple

SilverIndication9956

Yes they have, and those 3 main events combined likely mean less to Roman than Seth slamming the chair into his back. Roman was in the biggest match of his career and chose to attack Seth instead of attacking Cody, which would win him the match, because he can’t get over what Seth did to him, and this isn’t even bringing up the fact that Roman’s still never beaten Seth in big matches.

AuburnJunky

Seth. Easily.

Reasonable_Deer_1710

Cody, Brock, Seth, imo

SilverIndication9956

Genuinely asking, how’s Seth last?

Reasonable_Deer_1710

For me at least, a 2 year back to back Wrestlemania main event, which culminated with one of the most eventful main events of all time to end one of the greatest reigns and storylines of all time, plus the multi year feud with Brock which led to unifying the championships in the first place, were bigger deals than his matches with Seth. The stakes were always way too high with Brock and Cody.

SilverIndication9956

He’s had matches that were bigger deals, but in terms of what they’ve done to Roman and how he’d feel about them, neither of them come close to Seth. Whether it’s Roman never being able to beat Seth when it counts, or Seth being able to get inside his head like no one else can, to the simple fact that Roman’s still not over the chair shot that happened a decade ago. No one’s impacted his career more than Seth has

flashman909

The Rock. Think about it, if The Rock hadn’t hijacked the feud Roman would still be champion

Rocketboy1313

His greatest nemesis is defending his title regularly.

Calmizzy_47372

Seth Rollins, Roman needs his proper revenge story on Seth for turning on him since it still haunts him no matter what

PercentageMedical747

Or it leads to a reunion of sorts and they wreak havoc on the roster a la Two Man Power Trip.

Candid-Ad2049

It’ll have to be Seth for me. Everything begins and ends with Seth.

valosgsc

Roman's greatest nemesis is the steel chair, obviously. I think Seth's the only one who has managed to play mind games with him and succeeding in doing so, ultimately costing him the Championship.

nipslippinjizzsippin

id have to say it was Cody. they had a damn near constant feud for over 2 years and it was Cody to ended his historic run

[deleted]

None of those names, is John Cena.

PercentageMedical747

Suffering succotash!

Jjaz1

Im shocked Jey isn't being brought up in the conversation. Especially if we are talking about the Tribal chief version of the character

oliyoung

His hatred of something that happened 10 years ago caused him to drop the title 5 days ago. It's Seth.

RetroGeek82

No, his biggest nemesis was himself. Long term booking at its finest. Can't forget about the Shield betrayal Can't forget about the betrayal of his blood family since his brotherhood fell apart Can't forget about his health falling apart, so he competes as little as possible He had to stop Brock from competing for the title again because he doubted himself He MUST be acknowledged by everyone. Even reporters at press conferences. And even at his biggest moment against Cody, his paranoia and lust for revenge got the better of him

HauntingPersonality7

Seth, dawg

Damuhfudon

Braun Strowman?

NewTribalChief

No Bray as a choice? Shield go way back with their feuds with The Wyatts, Roman vs Braun & Bray I'd say Brock. He helped solidify Roman as a legit main eventer.

SilverIndication9956

Roman never really feuded with bray too much like that, and when they did feud, it was just kind of a normal feud, nothing really special like he has with these 3. Also, while Brock helped solidify Roman as a main eventer, he never really had any huge storyline with him the way Seth and Cody have, outside of Roman not liking Brock not showing up

NewTribalChief

Like I said they got history going back to early in their WWE careers. Bray vs Roman is not on the same level as a Roman vs Rusev etc. Roman finally beating Brock at Summerslam 2018 after losing at WM 31 & 34 was huge, title vs title match/Heyman turning on Brock for Roman (RR 2022 & WM 38). Brock's return at MITB '22. Seth vs Roman is overstated. People are prisoners of the moment. Yes, Seth won at WM 31 & beat Roman clean at MITB 2016 (Roman was punished for PEDs) & RR 2023 (by DQ) & WM 40 (cost him the title) but they never got a long drawn out feud. Roman also beat Seth clean at MSG last year but they don't talk about that.

SilverIndication9956

Of course no one talks about that. The company itself doesn’t talk about it because it was a house show. I didn’t even known that happened until you just told me, because it was a house show, meaning not an important one. Roman’s probably beat Seth in many title matches at house shows, but no one would ever care about them. The history roman has with Seth is far bigger than anything he has with anyone else. Even now, their history is still clearly massive. They may have not had any long rivalry yet, but no one’s effected Roman even close to the way Seth has.

BungieDidntDoIt

A great rivalry never ends, Seth and Reigns will never bury that hatchet. They will never trust each other 100% ever again. Cody’s story is finished, Brock was conquered. That chair shot never goes away.

Makaveli84

I would love to be a mark again

Lost-Veterinarian-80

What’s stopping you?

Makaveli84

Age and 33 years of wrestling fandom

Beeyo176

Roman's greatest nemesis, by far, was the guy that tried to actually murder him in/with an ambulance. Braun Goddamned Strowman.

Broadway-Ninja-7675

Seth; Cody; Brock; Sami Zayn; Kevin Owens

dcontrerasm

Cody and Brock were business. Seth was personal to him while Seth saw it as business.

sammagee33

Seth, the history is too great

cabutler03

I would say Seth, and WM 40 proved it. When he had a choice between Seth and Cody, he went right for Seth because that betrayal cut very deep and Roman has never forgiven him for that. Also, in case this isn’t obvious, I’m speaking strictly in kayfabe.

NashKetchum777

...its Brock. Seth is just the longest lasting.

Broadway-Ninja-7675

I’d love to see Brock come back and go straight for taunting Roman now he’s been finally beaten and is no longer champion…that would be hilarious 😆

NashKetchum777

His theme song could have played and the PTSD would have done more damage than anyone could

Broadway-Ninja-7675

I’d love to see that 😂😂😂

Kevin Owens or Seth. The Kevin Owens fued early in his title reign was fantastic but there is just so much history with Seth.

Mrdynamo18

Brock Seth Cody now bcuz if the drama hopefully that feud continues Followed by cena

WillyWonka227

Right now it's Brock. I think when it's all said and done it'll be Seth.

Saudiweefan4life

Brock or Seth

[deleted]

Seth

MeasurementOk3007

Seth

inventionnerd

It aint Rollins. Sure, yall might love the dynamic/story of Roman/Seth more, but they're hardly rivals in WWE. They've barely even interacted as rivals. It's Brock hands down. They've headlined Mania 3 times, 2 Summerslams, and 2 Saudi shows all for the title.

SilverIndication9956

If you wanna say it’s Brock because he’s faced Roman the most, that’s fine, but when Roman’s career ends, Seth and possibly now Cody will 100% be the first names most people think of when thinking of his greatest rivals.

Environmental-Crow11

Rivals doesn’t necessarily mean the amount of times they’ve had a match. The story, the history, the character around Roman and Seth definitely make them each others biggest rivals

inventionnerd

Yea, cause Brock and Roman just had random one off matches. There were no builds or stories in em. They just met up on Mania one night and fought and then went about their separate ways. Just because one's more intriguing doesn't make it bigger.

Environmental-Crow11

1. Chill 2. The stories and matches between Roman and Seth far exceed anything between Roman and Brock. Also, Seth’s and Roman’s biggest moments in their careers almost always have something to do with each other. So 🤷

inventionnerd

"always". So you're basically talking about when Seth won his first title, Shield betrayal, and when Roman lost his last? 3 moments in 10 years? Guess none of their other 10 title wins, rumble wins, and whatever other accolades they have matter. Meanwhile, again, Reigns literally had 3 Mania moments with Lesnar. Also unified the titles vs Lesnar. Rollins beating Lesnar 1v1 at Mania, beat Lesnar again at Summerslam, and winning the new title this year had nothing to do with Reigns. And Reigns beat Dean, Sheamus, HHH, Lesnar, Lesnar, and Wyatt for his and nothing to do with Seth. Yes, Roman does have the most history with Seth and like I said, a better story with Seth. But very, very few moments in this history are they actually rivals. Hell, even after getting stabbed in the back by Seth, Roman basically didn't even interact with him for a whole year. Even during his tribal chief era, he had 1 interaction/match with Seth as well until this Mania. That's hardly a rival. Again, I agree they both have a longer history and a more compelling story, but "rival" is used far too loosely here. Y

Environmental-Crow11

I ain’t reading all that. Also you got so angy so quickly Jesus

inventionnerd

Like how you keep saying "relax" and now trying to say I'm angry. Bro a mad gaslighter just cause he got no leg to stand on lmao.

Environmental-Crow11

I ain’t reading that either, you jumped the gun early on that’s not my fault

inventionnerd

Bros soft sayin he aint readin shit yet still responding and downvoting instantly. Weak sauce.

Environmental-Crow11

I ain’t reading that as well. Yeah it’s called shitposting, you got angry and now I’m shitposting

Unique-Morning-2455

Roman's biggest rival is needing to show up to work

Ok-Network-9912

Wouldn’t that make his biggest rival, work?

Peacekeeprr

its gotta be seth. he cared more about his revenge than cody and the title.

Christian_RULES

Definitely Seth. Seth is like the Joker to Roman's Batman or Seth is like the Lex to Roman's Superman. There would be no Roman if there's no Seth.

RKO360

Exactly just like how Cena had Orton, Shawn had Bret, Hogan had Savage and Austin had Rock, Seth Rollins is the definitive rival of Roman Reigns

sillyandstrange

Now I'm sad we didn't get Austin at wrestlemania

RKO360

Even though we didn't get Austin, having Taker in that match makes sense because he is a ghost from Roman's past while being the Final Boss of WrestleMania

Maomumu0

Seth no problem, the ultimate betrayal.

RKO360

Seth Rollins. Even though Brock was also a major rival of Roman, Seth was the one who made Roman who is he today while their careers has been parallel since Shield days. Ever since Rollins' betrayal, Roman has been dealing with trauma and started to call himself, The Tribal Chief. Rollins was a important key part of Roman's downfall at WM 40 given Roman waited 10 years to get revenge on Rollins. Seth Rollins was the definitive rival of Roman Reigns

Alan_Scott_Davis

Lesnar for sure

CapG_13

Lesnar

CodyFinishedTheStory

Seth and it's not even close. Brock and Cody don't live rent free in Roman's head like Seth does.

not_a_moogle

Chairs

ghost030496

Best answer, that I couldn't think of

CombinationOk6846

Seth easily. Even at the end of the title reign, he lost it because of his focus on what Seth did to him 10 years prior. The ultimate storytelling.

wrestlefreak

Seth Rollins

atmospheric90

All this Seth talk really has me hyped for their eventual squash match where they settle the Shield scores by just beating the tar out of each other. The cinematic angles you can accomplish with that would be so awesome.

BasementCatBill

I don't think "squash" means what you think it means.

Ejm819

>squash match I don't think you know what that means, my friend

Starch8ser

Starch8ser

Rollins no doubt

starfallp1

Roman is Bricks greatest rival, but Seth is Romans

RKO360

No. Kurt Angle is Brock's greatest rival

Morton_Sledgecock

Nah

Mitsuki_Horenake

I agree, it has to be Seth. Brock can be his STRONGEST nemesis, but Seth straight up shaped him. Seth broke him. Seth made his SHIELD brother into the Tribal Chief. Seth straight up has the only thing in the entire world that can trigger Roman into focusing only on one person in the room. Cody was only the one to face the beast that he became and emerged victorious.

Omer-Ash

You nailed it. I think this is the best answer.

RedInAmerica

For Champion RR it’s Cody. For RR as a career it’s Seth.

mfenton29

Seth imo

saakash65

If we talking about the Tribal chief version, it was Seth. But overall RR, it's Brock Lesnar.

EmotionalCrab9026

Good answer.

brinson27

Short answer: Rollins. Long answer: Himself, as highlighted by hitting Rollins with the chair at 40 instead of finishing Cody

Interesting_Ad_9856

Brock Lesnar.

aegonthewwolf

Seth, because Seth’s the guy he was never able to get over on in the big matches.

Corporate_Juice

The fans

Kiseli57

Yeah, the guy who got the biggest reactions in the conpany throughout his almost 4 year title reign and had people chanting “Thank You Roman” last RAW episode was hated by the fans.

Corporate_Juice

Yes, he.

NightRumours

Brock

Stunning_Flounder873

IMO fast answer - Cody. For this whole Finish the Story storyline. Lot of promos and action, The Rock comeback. Feud with Brock was also great (I mostly loved the part when Paul Heyman was still between these two and had to choose his side) but Cody and his obsession with taking championship was all lit 💯

Sutt0n_Death

God the internet is a dark place.

Throwaway73835288

Probably Brock Lesnar pre Tribal Chief era. After 2020, Roman really just owned Brock in the rivalry. So it's really between Cody and Seth, and I think Roman choosing to hit Seth with the chair over Cody really signifies him being Roman's greatest nemesis. They have more history than Roman has with Cody.

chillin808style

Gotta be his SHIELD brother Seth Rollins. Their careers keep intertwining with each other. Brock is a somewhat distant second.
