How is that ew? Imagine being stuck picking between three pasta dishes you want and all of a sudden you see “Pasta Flight! Mix and match 3 pastas!” I’d fucking love that.
Once again, some chef has disrespected food - and the customer - by serving food on something that can't be sanitized and serving food all jumbled together that should shine on its own.
If chef wanted a "pasta tasting," then OK. Use small bowls that will provide a few bites of each pasta and not something that looks like Thanos would enjoy.
A friend visiting from Australia leaned over to me in a local restaurant and asked.... "Are portions always this HUGE in the US?"
it looks dry as fuck so I'm not counting on it. Its even more noticeable comparing it to the bar wood which has a finish on it. Doesnt even look like it has mineral oil on it.
I agree with you. I was trying to be charitable, but I don't know why.
The thought of all that sauce being absorbed by the wood, then more water being absorbed in the dishwasher, and it all just sitting in there in a hot, humid kitchen...
Blech.
The hells this? Pasta Neapolitan?
I should have added! It’s a pasta flight
I was going to jokingly comment "WTF is this a pasta flight", but you're telling me that's actually how it appeared on the menu? That's just weird...
I recognize the marinara and Alfredo. What's the third one?
I think its Bolognese Alfredo and marinara
Ew

I like the concept but you can't eat pasta off a wooden board without looking like a feral hobo
Mostly bc the pasta itself looks nasty
I wouldn’t say nasty. But, it certainly doesn’t look the best.
Even more shocking is how anemic the penne looks.
Blue light + yellow pasta. Opposite ends of colour wheel

My first thought was how unsafe this... serving vessel is. I suppose it could be coated in a food-safe sealant or something, though.

You can smell it from here. That damp wood smell.
Is there such a thing as a "food-safe sealant" that would survive the santitation process that restaurants go through?
I want ghost pasta!
The Tour of Shitaly?
Here, eat this pasta slop like the dog you are.
Needs some vegetables! I would be taking a nap in the restaurant after eating that.
The chocolate lava cake will wake you right up.
It looks like it’s served on a picture frame.
Don't give them ideas.
Maybe it's my OCD but different sauces pastas HAVE to be separate and this is making me so upset lolol
Yeah I love pasta but this is atrocious looking
It looks damned good though
Damned is the operative word. How are high you?*
Not high at all. That pasta doesn’t look tasty to you?
Looks like seafood if you squint a bit
But if I squint I can't really sea the food
Please tell me they did not just dump pasta on the bar for you to lick up

Do be looking good though
Awful. People who do this should be banned from cooking pasta.
Penne looks like it’s covered in glue and gnats
Where is this?
