Hijacking top comment to say i have the translation.
u/Defiant-Pause-9058
, did someone actually curse you and show you this, or did you find it on the floor? It looks like a scrap of paper that was passed back and forth between two people, lost in the hallway, and stepped on.
I'm guessing that two people were chatting back and forth. One person wrote out a lot of statements or questions, and the other person responded to all of them at once after receiving the note - this is why the message isn't totally coherent - we're missing half the convo. Still, i'm pretty confident that this is the translation.
*Interesting people and \_opportunities.*
*Using pencils, sharpies bleed too much.* (they literally change from a fine tip sharpie to a pencil as they write this)
*I Don't Likd anyone* (probably "like," the e and the d are opposite facing arrows - easy typo)
*that bitch, marco/*
*laura- my mom's name.*
*Fuck "it." "it" isn't human to me.*
(I spent like 4 hours on this. My disappointment is immeasurable.)
Your right, the "stepped on" bits are too uniform.
Shit, either i just gave OP the cipher to translate his friend's notebook, or maybe this is OP's notebook and i just told everyone that his mom's name is Laura.
In case you're curious

Very good, but what I believe you are interpreting as dirt from a shoe print is actually part of the paper. It has a dragon scale design in the dark part with the white being a dragon breathing fire.
I'm going to guess someone found it on the floor and said "I curse you!" and handed it to someone in what they thought was an obvious joke.
I got the same plaintext, though I didn't catch the typo.
Here's mine in case anyone wants to line it up with the original:
```interesting
that bitch,
If you suspect a substitution cipher (where the symbols represent specific letters):
Scan through the cipher, looking for single-letter words. They’re almost definitely A or I.
Count how many times each symbol appears in the puzzle. The most frequent symbol is probably E. It could also be T, A, or O, especially if the cryptogram is fairly short.
Pencil in your guesses over the ciphertext. Do typical word fragments start to reveal themselves? Be prepared to erase and change your guesses!
Look for apostrophes. They’re generally followed by S, T, D, M, LL, or RE.
Look for repeating letter patterns. They may be common letter groups, such as TH, SH, RE, CH, TR, ING, ION, and ENT.
Try to decipher two-, three-, and four-letter words.
Two-letter words almost always have one vowel and one consonant. The five most common two-letter words, in order of frequency, are OF, TO, IN, IS, and IT.
The most common three-letter words, in order of frequency, are THE, AND, FOR, WAS, and HIS.
The most common four-letter word is THAT. An encrypted word with the pattern 1 - - 1 is likely to be THAT. However, the pattern 1 - - 1 also represents 30 other words, so keep this in mind!
Scan for double letters. They’re most likely to be LL, followed in frequency by EE, SS, OO, and TT (and on to less commonly seen doubles).
They're there but ambiguous, which (along with the spelling mistakes) makes it all the more impressive that Kolemawny was able to crack it.
The first line is one word. The second line has a space after the second ← symbol. The third line is one word. The fourth line has a space after the first character (that's an 'I') and a much clearer space after the fifth.
Yeah this is just code to pass notes lol used to do ABC code back and forth with friends all the time as a kid (mainly because of how much less work that is, no one would catch on to something even that simple so i chose the laziest option every time)
In highschool a friend very obviously passed me a note that say "never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down, never gonna turn around and forget you"
And the teacher obviously saw the note and went crazy, shouting to give him the note and that now he's going to read it Infront of the whole class..
Needles to say everyone laughed lol
for some reason, i read this as if you were in your 30-40s... (bs... this is a lie .. that meme wasn't created yet.)
I today I remember, not everyone ia my same age. x. x
ahhh i used to do this as a kid! also had a book of codes from the library and would learn them with my friends and make notes to each other.was so much fun.
Printed it out. Reposted it on my refrigerator. The wife saw it. Took a picture. Printed it. Reposted it on the fridge. We threw the repostings away and having cake now. Loophole exploited.
Oh okay… so here you have a mix of, ahem, some Norse runes, some Greek symbols, some Roman symbols, a see a few letter R’s, I see a few iron crosses, 1 Chinese character, 1 possibly Devanagari letter, and a whole lot of nonsense! Yea you should be fine
That's what I was thinking. Feel like he was actually trying to curse OP. Title sounded like a joke but sounds like someone is getting into spellcasting. Karma a bitch homie
Hahahaha one is also the symbol video games use when they portray Nazi's but don't want to use the Swastika. (weird plus shaped cross thing) Somebody go arrest this kid, we got em.
They actually started out as an occult group
They studied occultism and happened to have strong opinions, the government was worried and send Hitler in as a spy... but mf Hitler took over as people were fascinated by him
That's the one! I just tried googling what it was before the nazi's and all I can find is that the island of Malta's soldiers used this to identify each other, not sure how it ended up a German medal tho lol
In 5th grade I wrote a bunch of random Greek letters on a sheet of paper and "accidentally" dropped it in class, hoping someone would find it and think I was cool and esoteric or something. But the kid who found it showed the teacher and the whole class talked about how weird it was and I went non-verbal the rest of the week.
I used to do this as a kid. I still haven't cringed.
Instead I cringe about how I told everyone about my ambition to make my own country by military force, invade everywhere from Asia to Europe down to Australia and was handing out invitations to a lot of people, often promising them land if they joined my cause.
Okay, I'll bite, and I am not a lawyer/etc.; just a geek that likes puzzles. To solve this cipher, I associated each unique symbol with a letter of the alphabet, and translated it out while trying to figure out where spaces are supposed to be.
Anyhow, line-by-line:
1. ABCDEDFCABG
2. HDIH JD KBL
3. MHHNECNBACADF.
4. NFABG HDBOAJF,
5. FPKEHADF QJDDL
6. CMM RNOP. A LMBC
7. "JASL" KBTIBD
8. CPKC QACOP,
9. R TRIRF BKRD
10. LNOS "AC" "AC"
11. AFBC PNRKB CI
12. RD.
This translates the student's letter from wingdings into a substitution cipher, assuming the student was writing in English but using a "coded" alphabet. From there, you can either try and solve it yourself (e.g., looking for common characters), or use a substitution cipher solver online.
Moving on, here's what I pasted into [Boxentriq's solver](https://www.boxentriq.com/code-breaking/cryptogram):
>abcdedfcabg hdih jd kbl mhhnecnbacadf. nfabg hdboajf, fpkehadf qjddl cmm rnop. a lmbc "jasl" kbtibd cpkc qacop, rkueoi/jknek r trirf bkrd. lnos "ac" "ac" afbc pnrkb ci rd.
And the highest-scoring result:
>interesting pewp le and oppurtunities using pencils sharpies bleed too much i dont likd anywne that bitch mavrcw laura m ymwms name duck it it isnt human tw me
I got, "Interesting people and oppurtunities. Using pencils, sharpies bleed too much. I don't "likd" anyone. That bitch marco. Laura my mom's name. Fuck "it" "it" isn't human to me."
Did the kid draw the background or is that just the stationary they used? Cause that's a cool ass dragon. If it's stationary imma have to figure out where they bought it.
Look closer my friend of poor eys. The negative space (in this case the white space) is clearly in the shape of a kickass dragon. And if hou can't see it, well you just have poor sight. Sorry to say.
It appears you’ve encountered a young trailer pagan. I can see some Norse symbols, maybe some Greek… it’s a whole lotta garbage lol. Watch out for him trying to steal your stray hairs and talking excessively about Loki 😂 the most dangerous thing about this kid is probably his excessive use of eyeliner and axe body spray
No, no Greek, unfortunately. And no Cyrillic either, I know both alphabet as I studied Ancient Greek in High school and university and am currently learning Russian.
I know the first way to figure out one of these is to find the double letters, because there’s only so many double letter combinations. (Or something like that lol)
Edit: I’m gonna crack this code
I'm doing it too. Here are some things i noticed. The kid included English punctuation.
Line three ends in a period. Line four ends with a comma. line 6 has a period and the last word in line 6 has an apostrophe. Line 7 has a word in quotations. Line 9 has a "/" sign. Line 10 includes two words in quotation marks. The words are repeated. It looks like there might be a period in between them that was written a little scribbly. I have some guesses as to what certain shapes translate to, but i don't want to taint your own progress unless you are really sure about any of them.
Update: I took a closer look and you can see English punctuation including quotation marks, periods, and commas. Unfortunately I can’t see any distinct spaces between words which will make this a little more tricky but I can isolate each symbol and see if I can work out letter patterns.
There's a script known as magical script or witch's script, among other names. Some believe the writing system originates with Atlantis. This isn't it.
There are 4 or 5 symbols that repeat quite a few times each. So I’d say this is a pretty underdeveloped code. But it’s also definitely gibberish, and just random lines. Considered yourself blessed, my son. Go in peace.
These appear to be vaguely related to some symbols used in things like The Lesser Key of Solomon (which has nothing to do with the actual Solomon).
This kid, like many kids, has probably been reading some things about medieval or modern magic traditions.
Whether you believe in such things is immaterial in this case, because it's also pretty clear he doesn't understand anything he's read! 😂
Depends on how you read it. Left to right, it’s a curse of insomnia. Right to left, it’s a curse of itchy scalp. From top to bottom, it’s a recipe for lasagna.
Only a few real sigils on the page but it's only like 4 resembling ones that could have just been randomness to the drawer usually you'd see a lot more of a uniform look and the fact that he filled up the whole page just gives me shock value vibes, next time u see him you should just let him know universal law states that which you've done to others will be done upon you by a 3 fold his response will tell u everything u need to know or simply never speak to them again if u believe it's a serious hexe
I didn’t know anyone was actually fluent in Wingdings
They're there but ambiguous, which (along with the spelling mistakes) makes it all the more impressive that Kolemawny was able to crack it. The first line is one word. The second line has a space after the second ← symbol. The third line is one word. The fourth line has a space after the first character (that's an 'I') and a much clearer space after the fifth.
Read Golden Scarabeus by Edgar Allan Poe.
But not at least he can say that there is a typo xD this was interesting though good work
It does look stepped on but if you look, the non dirty part is actually a dragon
I knew a kid who learned it and then his gf learned it and they would pass notes back and forth and no one would know what it said.
A person who was senior in high school the year that rick rolling was created(2006) would today be 35 years old.
In my day, before computers were readily accessible, my friends and I would make up symbols and create a key for our secret notes
used to do this just 3 years ago when we were still 14. It was funny when the teacher took the note and couldn't tell what it said.
ahhh i used to do this as a kid! also had a book of codes from the library and would learn them with my friends and make notes to each other.was so much fun.
There is a second typo. "e" is the left pointing arrow, and "D" points right. Line 7, "Likd" instead of "like"
Ask r/Symbology. They probably know it, but it's probably some kid trying to scare people, not to worry. Unless...
There's several actual symbols in here, but it looks like he just kind of sprinkled them on the page like pepper.
One of them appears to be the Superman symbol, so...
Hahahaha one is also the symbol video games use when they portray Nazi's but don't want to use the Swastika. (weird plus shaped cross thing) Somebody go arrest this kid, we got em.
The Maltese or Iron cross, it's often coopted by white supremacists, but predates Nazism.
As does the swastika. Damned nazis, ruin everything.
They coopted a vast amount of occult symbolism
They actually started out as an occult group They studied occultism and happened to have strong opinions, the government was worried and send Hitler in as a spy... but mf Hitler took over as people were fascinated by him
Came here to say this
He's gonna look back on this and cringe so hard.
He cursed himself. Woops.
Seems like a really normal kid thing to do tbh, doubt he thinks about it when he's grown lol.
Yeah I used to make little alphabets and things all the time, it’s just a fun kid thing
In 5th grade I wrote a bunch of random Greek letters on a sheet of paper and "accidentally" dropped it in class, hoping someone would find it and think I was cool and esoteric or something. But the kid who found it showed the teacher and the whole class talked about how weird it was and I went non-verbal the rest of the week.
Lmao!!! You're brave for sharing that, I've done similar things in my youth. Shit's funny to think about
Its fun not cringy
Unfortunately, I was this kid, and I promise we just giggle about dumb shit like this that we used to do.
I used to do this as a kid. I still haven't cringed. Good bot
Wow no pressure or anything.
I expect results! /s
I think the first word of the sixth line is a seven letter synonym for rectum that starts with "A", if that helps.
I'm doing it too. Here are some things i noticed. The kid included English punctuation. Line three ends in a period. Line four ends with a comma. line 6 has a period and the last word in line 6 has an apostrophe. Line 7 has a word in quotations. Line 9 has a "/" sign. Line 10 includes two words in quotation marks. The words are repeated. It looks like there might be a period in between them that was written a little scribbly. I have some guesses as to what certain shapes translate to, but i don't want to taint your own progress unless you are really sure about any of them.
You smirk as you hand it back to him… “You misspelled 3 canticles, you neophyte.”
Hand him back a photographic negative as a reverse curse.
Oh no he entered the cheat codes.
*Command Block × 1 was given to BloodEdgeGriffin82*
Why would he do something so rude
Why did this make me laugh so fucking hard?
Let's be honest, we all know OP had it coming....
My response ⬆️⬆️⬇️⬇️⬅️➡️⬅️➡️🅱️🅰️Start
Do you want there to be 30 of him?!?
Looks like a couple of save codes from Metroid on the old NES.
Just hand it back and say “ you wrote it wrong, this curses the person who gives it away” lol!
Tbh this looks kinda like a Caesar cypher, which is my shit hold up
Update: I took a closer look and you can see English punctuation including quotation marks, periods, and commas. Unfortunately I can’t see any distinct spaces between words which will make this a little more tricky but I can isolate each symbol and see if I can work out letter patterns.
SOLVED IT well mostly… it’s kind of weird idk so here goes Interesting People and Oppurtunities. Using pencils, Sharpies bleed Too much. I don’t “Li_d” Anyone That bitch, Marco/laura- My mom’s name. Fuck “it”. “It” Isn’t human to me
This is the solution. Thanks!
He should've just >CURSE OF RA 𓀀 𓀁 𓀂 𓀃 𓀄 𓀅 𓀆 𓀇 𓀈 𓀉 𓀊 𓀋 𓀌 𓀍 𓀎 𓀏 𓀐 𓀑 𓀒 𓀓 𓀔 𓀕 𓀖 𓀗 𓀘 𓀙 𓀚 𓀛 𓀜 𓀝 𓀞 𓀟 𓀠 𓀡 𓀢 𓀣 𓀤 𓀥 𓀦 𓀧 𓀨 𓀩 𓀪 𓀫 𓀬 𓀭 𓀮 𓀯 𓀰 𓀱 𓀲 𓀳 𓀴 𓀵 𓀶 𓀷 𓀸 𓀹 𓀺 𓀻 𓀼 𓀽 𓀾 𓀿 𓁀 𓁁 𓁂 𓁃 𓁄 𓁅 𓁆 𓁇 𓁈 𓁉 𓁊 𓁋 𓁌 𓁍 𓁎 𓁏 𓁐 𓁑 𓀄 𓀅 𓀆 𓀇 𓀈 𓀉 𓀊
its summing a dragon look out!
Summing a dragon. Dragon + you = burns your dick off
Might be a cool tattoo at some point…
Translated as “Hey, you wanna play Xbox with me?”
Curse him back, damnit
You can use frequency analysis to solve substitution ciphers. Associate a letter with each unique symbol and work from there.
Associate a letter with each unique symbol. Yeah the would indeed crack the code
There's a script known as magical script or witch's script, among other names. Some believe the writing system originates with Atlantis. This isn't it.
I've been studying the occult for 22 years. There are a *lot* of "magical scripts"... this is none of them.
Isn't the alien language in futurama? So it's a simple substitution cypher
Send a copy to Ted Cruz, he can help decipher it, he wrote the original. 😏
Side-burn. Nice.
A GTA cheat code?
Cool kid.
I want a friend like this
Oh damn, this kid knows the unknown language in pokemon damn what a legend.
damn he got your ass
He’s going places
There are 4 or 5 symbols that repeat quite a few times each. So I’d say this is a pretty underdeveloped code. But it’s also definitely gibberish, and just random lines. Considered yourself blessed, my son. Go in peace.
I used to do that with planetary symbols, etc.
I'd be saging and holy-watering all night!
These appear to be vaguely related to some symbols used in things like The Lesser Key of Solomon (which has nothing to do with the actual Solomon). This kid, like many kids, has probably been reading some things about medieval or modern magic traditions. Whether you believe in such things is immaterial in this case, because it's also pretty clear he doesn't understand anything he's read! 😂
90% sure those are just random squiggles. They aren't runes. Don't look like any occult symbols I know of. Source: am Norse pagan
It’s just business kid *teleports behind you*
The curved H is the symbol for pisces ♓️
This is why you keep an uno reverse card in your wallet.
Imagine being banished to eternal damnation because of some kid and his wingdings.
Crap, yeah you're kinda screwed... He just gave you 30 extra lives, right there \^ \^ v v < > < > B A Sorry my dude.
Give him a reverse uno card
Show him some random scribbling and tell him you are protected against that sort of curse.
Your fucked now
I draw that kind of stuff everywhere just to mess with people.
you're fucked
Just counter curse him 🧙♂️ YOU SHALL NOT PASS 💥
I’d honestly feel honored Lol
The modern Konami code is out of hand.
Nah…he just trippin the fuck out on acid. You’ll be aight…
It is the Black Speech of Mordor and I shall not utter it here.
This is the shit I used to do with my best friend when we were about 7. He’s fucking with you
I don't see even a single leviathan's cross, what a nerd
This is legit. All I can tell you is beware of anyone in a blue jacket.
He might be the grandson of the zodiac killer 🤔 or the next one
you #&$::(()?'*©®™™✓[°°¥€¢€°
Do you want another [Zodiac Killer](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zodiac_Killer)? Because that's the way you get another Zodiac Killer.
Depends on how you read it. Left to right, it’s a curse of insomnia. Right to left, it’s a curse of itchy scalp. From top to bottom, it’s a recipe for lasagna.
Don't worry, satan isn't real and doesn't curse anyone. God does that.
This looks just like the fake language I made when I was 7. Even shares some letters.
That kid may need mental health help (or might just be a weird kid, kids are weird).
He really said 👽
I’d watch my head for pianos falling from the sky if I were you.
Tell him that you’ll take that in exchange for him accepting his schizophrenia
You’re fucked
I'd use an English to Welsh translator and curse him back
Only a few real sigils on the page but it's only like 4 resembling ones that could have just been randomness to the drawer usually you'd see a lot more of a uniform look and the fact that he filled up the whole page just gives me shock value vibes, next time u see him you should just let him know universal law states that which you've done to others will be done upon you by a 3 fold his response will tell u everything u need to know or simply never speak to them again if u believe it's a serious hexe
You're done-zo kid
Google Lens was able to translate "wish" and "HOW!!!"... that's all, though
Curse of Ra
You’re fucked OP, sorry man 😔
This is cursed, that is cursed
