They are hard to dose properly for each individual and while they take upwards of an hour to kick in the effect comes roaring in at its fullest. One minute your fine the next your super baked and that can be rather discomforting, especially if you don't even understand what it being high on marijuana even feels like. I understand people can have reasons to not want to smoke or vape it but if you ain't ever been high before then the chances that your going to have a bad time on you eddy are far greater than if you just took a few hits off a doob someone was passing around. You might cough for a moment but that cough is harmless and caused by the compounds your inhaling having expectorant properties.

In California, you can get 5 mg or even 1 mg gummies (the 1 mg ones emphasize the CBD). I sometimes like the 5s for a mellow light buzz.

The weirdest thing to me is edibles in any situation people around people who have smoked even just once are like "I've been high, I know what I'm doing" and don't listen to the warnings of the people making/selling it. Nothing against you, just in general people seem to overestimate their bodies ability to handle just how much an edible can fuck you up.
Not always for medical. This is probably a 10mg from a 100mg package, but there are 100mg single gummies, and in Oklahoma I’ve seen 1000mg packs of edibles with high potency gummies
I never recommend trying weed for the first time with edibles. They are hard to dose properly for each individual and while they take upwards of an hour to kick in the effect comes roaring in at its fullest. One minute your fine the next your super baked and that can be rather discomforting, especially if you don't even understand what it being high on marijuana even feels like. I understand people can have reasons to not want to smoke or vape it but if you ain't ever been high before then the chances that your going to have a bad time on you eddy are far greater than if you just took a few hits off a doob someone was passing around. You might cough for a moment but that cough is harmless and caused by the compounds your inhaling having expectorant properties.

She kept busting out bowls of potcorn and my dumb drunk ass just ate that shit all night. I was high for like 2 days. Literally zero concept of what dosage I took

Yep, I smoked in college when it became legal in my state I grabbed some edibles because I hated all the coughing I’d do. I took a 10 mg one, didn’t feel anything for like 40 min took another and the next thing I know I was on the couch unable to move, everytime I closed my eyes I had what I dubbed 3D printer brain. I’d see things assembled like building blocks. Some white blocks would form a skeleton, then red blocks would form the muscles then skin. On the flip side of that, when it first became legal in my state, my cousin who's a cop said they got a lot of calls from people making sure they weren't gonna get in trouble. My cousin was like, "I'll answer the phone and it's like, 'Yes sir, for the 100th time today, you won't be arrested for smoking weed on your front porch. Yes, even if your neighbor doesn't like it.'" Edit: I grew up in a real rural area so when I say neighbor I'm thinking the house across the road or the next house over, not like neighbors in the same building. I can see how that's irritating if you don't smoke but always had to smell it because of a neighbor. I definitely try to be courteous.

I’m a 240 lb dude. 10mg makes me lay on the couch for about 3-4 hours. If she did take the full 100 mg and then put her next couple of hours on tv it would either be her motionlessly staring at the wall listening to thr Beetles White album or clearing out a late night IHOP. Interestingly, as I spiraled closer and closer to death, I had a moment of clarity and the movie Inception made complete sense to me. It was like my brain recognized my life was about to end and the last thing it had to do was understand Inception. It gathered all of my mental resources and the movie clicked. It was amazing. Then it very gradually started to wear off and I’m still here today to tell the story.
Y - but a lot of edibles are not accurately advertising THC amounts. In DC I can handle 50mg - in Cali - 20mgs and I’m ready to die and want it to end. In DC it’s a largely unregulated market.

A 100mg edible of Delta 8 THC is equivalent to about 15-20mg or Delta 9 THC. Delta 8 THC is federally legal since it is derived from hemp.

Seriously! I ate almost half of a giant Nerds rope that was, I think, 500mg total. That really messed me up.
