2. Get a small bag that zips and is snug on your body, but won't get in the way of safety bars and the like. A small fanny pack would probably work well.
3. Downsize to fit it in jean pockets, which are usually pretty snug when seated. Do you really need more than your keys, phone, and wallet? (If you have a big wallet, take what you need from it and leave it.)
I always try to bring a small bag that can fit with me on the rides. If you want to bring water you can always leave that off to the side, people never steal water
I honestly wear a fanny pack when I go to the EX or I wear pants with zipper pockets. I've left small bags on the ground/floor of the ride too like others do but i never had anything of value in it.
Get one of those travelling fanny packs that fit under clothing!! I usually wear one under a sundress and you can’t see it. It’ll fit your cards/phone/a lipgloss but that’s like it

you can ride if you want to, you can leave your friends behind, because your friends don't ride and if they don't ride, then they can hold your bags.

I mean can always grab a cheap fanny pack from the thrift store to use in occasions like this. They may be rarely fashionable though
