Yup. Love Snoop, he (individually) had great energy and just a fun vibe all evening, but the pacing of that show was all over the place. When Warren G came out at the start, it seemed like he had already decided to phone it in. Then Snoop blitzed through like 6 different 30-second versions of a bunch of his hits, then turned it over to DPG for a full-on side concert-in-a-concert.
People were leaving during Drop It Like It’s Hot! Shocking!
Compare that to 50 a few months back. That was a TIGHT show. Kept slamming hits all night, did not let up, did not slow down, great production.
I feel like I went to a DPG concert featuring Snoop Dogg.
The DPG section could have been removed completely with no other changes and it would have actually been better with being 30-40 minutes shorter.
I timed it - he left for 40 full minutes last night. Completely killed the crowd. Had to laugh when later in the show he said something like “I’ve been up here for a long time”… like dude it’s been 22 minutes since you took your 40 minute snooze
It was good, could have been a shorter set for Tha Dogg Pound. Loved that Lady of Rage was there and local dancers were hired. I'm old so it was long but that's okay. Ice Cube's show was better.
My only critique is that I could do with less openers and full length versions of his hits. Like why sample your own music. That was disappointing. I really liked his stage show and his energy though. I’m glad I went !
As a guy wanting to hear Snoop Dogg bang out dope songs, it was meh.
However, objectively, as a total performance it was great. Great stage, great sound engineering. The sum of its parts was fantastic.
Closing with Young, Wild & Free, with crowd engagement, was a solid finish.
I guess I knew to expect Dogg Pound, and I really like them so I enjoyed it fully. I bet anything Snoop needed a break. Wu did the same thing with Nas, switching off more frequently. I wish some songs were done more in full but there was a lot to get through.
Loved Snoop. Dogg Pound coming out halfway for 30 mins did ruin the vibe though. I walked home with several concert goers and they had many in their section leave when DPG came out, thinking Snoop was done.
Supported that with a friend this morning who said many in their section left too, which is crazy.
Honestly I'd give it 3/5. Snoop was good when he was on stage. Did not enjoy the half hour where he left in the middle. I thought it was odd that he didn't do all full songs and only did portions of some. Idk I was really excited for this one but compared to 50 cent and Ice Cube it was not great.
Glad I spent my money on the Taco & Tequila festival coming up instead. Seems like a much better deal imo. Hope it doesn't rain though, that would suck.
No doubt! My sister and I grabbed VIP tickets to that one. But for Snoop, I only grabbed a $40 ticket half an hour before the show. Glad that's all I spent, honestly.
Check Ticketmaster and Stubhub as it gets close to the event start time. Scalpers/Resellers tend to start dropping their prices as it gets closer to the show. Better to make a bit of money than have the complete loss, y’know?
I did the same thing with Queen's of the Stone Age the other month, and I snagged a ticket to the Floor section for about $60-70.

Terrible sound quality, painfully long/boring collaboration with DPG, and the vendors ran out of beer by 9:45 pm. Snoops fragmented performance was all over the place. Would not recommend a Snoop concert to anyone (new or long-time fan). It is sad that some of the only music that comes to Winnipeg these days are washed up rappers - rap does not age well haha.

I bought a poster and it was destroyed by the person sitting beside me while I went to the bathroom, (they apologized, but they accidentally spilled alcohol all over it and the visual completely faded/disappeared) they were 70$ and I’m really bummed out. Any chance anyone will sell me one? Does anybody have one, I got a sweatshirt from last night or money.

I agree 💯. Totally killed the vibe he created. I don't understand the reasoning. Like 10 minutes would have been ok but it felt like 30 or more.
Timed it. Was about 25 minutes. I really think he left to watch the end of the NBA finals. Time synced up perfectly.
Interesting. Definitely killed the vibe there. Was funny watching people slowly sit down from the upper deck all the way to the floor.
The only thing that goes against this theory is that Snoop did this for every stop on tour so far (including Milwaukee two nights ago).

The decision to let Corrupt and Daz do a full set in the middle of the show was suspect…..bass rattled your eyeballs. Was still cool. Warren was good.

This was my 4th snoop show, and…by far the worst. I was thinking I was just old and grouchy, so glad to see I wasnt the only one.
