My roommate has something that let's him play from his phone whenever he has to leave the room for more than a few minutes. Let's him control his PC remotely. Wouldn't work for long term play of course but when we're in a fight and all he needs is to tap a choice? Works great.
It’s actually really convenient. The right trackpad does your mouse movements and you can trigger click or press down on the track pad to click. It’s not bad at all.
Yeah that is how the keyboard pops up but for some reason, that doesn't open the chat for me. If I click on the left track pad, it opens the chat and brings up the keyboard

Gotta run it through lutris if you dont have a steam account. I play on steam deck and my main gaming pc runs exclusively on linux and i got them to work out of the box on both
My account was made before it was a steam release so it won't let me log in the traditional way. Trying to circumvent and trick steam into thinking it is launching it but actually just launching it from the Non steam game launcher was simply impossible for me. I couldn't even find the damn exe file even when trying to follow countless videos and searching
Try it on lutris and let me know. Lutris is honestly amazing and it should be the go to for linux gaming when your game isnt on steam. Try there. I ran the install through there then went into the wine settings found the launcher exe and set that as the launch path and works every time
I've also been enjoying Wiz101 on the deck recently. The trackpad works just fine as a mouse, although I found the performance is iffy. I get pretty frequent brief stutters; the game is at least playable.
What are you playing on? This game can be played off a computer now?
Wiz is on steam now, and steam has a steam deck, which is what he's using

Please don't tell me you're using steam.. what are you using for this on the Ally?
The ally is a native windows machine, it works straight out of box with wiz, I didn't have to map anything on my side, works fine.
I added it to steam as a non steam game and mapped the controls like that, you can also use ally's software to map the controls

Yes! This. The only downside to playing on the Steam Deck is how slow I am to type. I've figured it out and am faster, but not as fast as pc

That looks so sick, how do you navigate the menus without a cursor and key-bindings? (For example if you wanted to open your friends list)
There's a button for most everything. One of the back buttons behind the Steam Deck opens and closes your friends list
Not OP, but when I played with an xbox controller i used left stick for movement and right stick for cursor control
I play wizard 101 on my Asus rog ally and I've literally never looked back at playing on my standard PC

You can play it on there and I've seen a guide to get it to work on even your phone I'm pretty sure, just involves steam.
