In 2 levels you'll get a quest to go to castle darkmoor. There you'll learn Glowbug Squall. Very powerful attack.

Xayiran18

Just want to say you actually get a shadow gauge whenever you learn any shadow spell. My first death had one in Azteca ( I power leveled from dungeons because I wanted to farm something else while my death caught up to my fire ) because I already had call of krul which kinda doesn’t make sense that you can have shadow magic in a world it’s not introduced as I’m sure someone that did all the side quests would have the same thing happen

Daedric_God

Fun fact actually if you do all side quests and dont over level at any point you hit level 100 right after finishing the eclipse tower in khrysalis

Ok_Confection6933

Shadow enhanced spells are more useful for general questing, your shadow pip rate will increase once you get the second shadow pip slot and with gear upgrades as well. Shadow enhanced spells have been very nerfed but they are useful when opportunity arises. For example the death karamelle spell can remove a weakness which can be useful for fights when an enemy has bad juju. But your 7 pip aoe will probably always be your main plan unless you are fighting a boss

heesell

Shrike is handy for more pierce and the shadow aoe. The rest does not rly have much value.

Fashado

When an enemy has a high resistance to your damage. As a dps school. The rest are mid and need a rework.

SwanFit5867

I never use them except for my shadow pip aoes

Lifedeather

Never but an actual “answer” would be 100/108 depending on school

CrayonSingh

Ill still die on the hill that they should’ve gone deeper into shadow magic and redone it instead of creating archmastery

NewLife_21

I will join you on that hill.

mallia09

Im gonna have to agree w/ most of the comments here. Shadow spells from eclipse tower fall off almost immediately, which is a shame coz their concepts are kinda cool. They do have their usefulness before u do hit lvl 100 tbf. Players may still use them generally before they get their shadow enhanced aoe, so fire ice life and balance near the end of polaris (i personally did)

RemoteCompetitive688

They do not do enough damage to justify using a shadow pip and the backlash It's 100% better to use your own school's shadow enhanced spells It's a reason why I love archmastery, they introduced a feature (using multiple schools), it wasn't really useful, they changed it to make it more viable. They saw shadow magic wasn't really viable, never really changed it, just forgot about it. At like lv 110 gear just stops giving shadow damage, traps, etc.

PrIm3_TimEz

Oh well that's sad. I made this account new last December and my friend and I were so excited to get shadow magic. Now I find out it's functionally useless on its own aside from school shadow spells

AnUglyScooter

Shadow shrike is very good when you don’t feel like using a prism lol

hohkipohki

it was useful a few years ago 😪

Xayiran18

Realistically they’re not. Shrike is only good in VERYYYYYY specific boss fights like the neumian lion in empyrea if you don’t want to double shatter. All I do for that is blade up feint pierce bubble ( you’ll get it in radiance reborn? I think the area is called ) infallible shrike and just hit through but that’s just one of the examples

earwig2000

lvl 100, when you get glowbugs

JD_352

I still love my bugs spell

PrIm3_TimEz

Ok 2 more levels then

Every_Principle_7912

You'll have to do Darkmoor for that. If you need help with that, I could join up with you

PrIm3_TimEz

Ty man my, I'll dm you when I get to lvl 100

Silent-Palpitation54

I’ll also help you with armor when you’re ready

PrIm3_TimEz

Thanks man!!
