Macade has a lot of nice stuff imo

GarageNo7711

I second this. I’ve been lurking on this sub saying this same comment to put people on their clothes! I also personally like Malbon, it’s more my style—it’s like streetwear x golf attire had a baby. Stylish, youthful, and appropriate.

CoRoT-exo-7b

Yeah, Malbon is great!

95sr

Thanks I'll check them out!

artygolfer

I don’t wear my golf clothes off the course, but I dress simply. Shorts, collared or sleeveless shirts. I like golf-specific clothes because they breathe and are easy to take care of. I can’t recommend specific brands because I’m all over the map. I will say this, they tend to run small. Example, if you’re between a M and a L, choose the L. That said, I buy most of my clothes online, maybe you have an opportunity to try them on. Golf clothes are expensive. No one I know wears them off-course. Buy just one or two outfits, that’s all you need to get started.

95sr

That is done great info thanks!

jrockgiraffe

I find so much women’s golf clothing at thrift stores that look brand new. I rarely buy new ones because I’ve had such luck this way.

OB4L

I buy regular fashion-y ribbed sleeveless mock necks in polyester/nylon/viscose/bamboo/modal/spandex. You can wear these with regular clothes, or on the course.

RadandRich

This!! I find vests at boutiques that I can put over my polos. I really hate bright colored golf polos so my wardrobe sticks to black/white and layer with cute vests. I recently found a ribbed sleeveless polo in a boutique and paired that with a sleeved shirt. Edit: also love thrifting! Saw the comment about it and 100% find good Callaway and Nike golf shirts for a fraction of the price.

95sr

That looks like more my style thanks!

Chemical_Ad_3442

I have a KILLER golf wardrobe that I only ever wear out on the course…and all of it came from thrift stores (a lot of it still with the tags on). The less money I spend on attire, the more I have to actually play.

95sr

Thrifting is a great idea!

Chemical_Ad_3442

And I always make it a point to go to the thrift stores near golf courses 🤣

LooksGoodOnUTho

I wear Teleri Athletics skorts in every day life all the time. I would also recommend looking into tops with different collars than the typical polo style.

95sr

Thanks! Bottoms are a little easier, it's the tops I'm struggling to find what an "acceptable" style is

zzzap

Acceptable is a collared top (or high neck, French collar) plus whatever you feel comfortable in! I like Lady Hagan, their polo shirts are fitted and very flattering. But it's Dick's exclusive and a bit pricey so I wait for BOGO sales. Sierra trading company had Callaway women's gear last year, I'm hoping they get it in again this year!

95sr

Thank you!

SpiritualEffective79

I only ever golf at public courses so I tend to wear a tshirt (Nike or really any brand) with a golf skirt. Shirt is always a solid color (not like a graphic tee) so that I look somewhat put together but comfortable and breathable. I also have a pair of Amazon shorts that I wear golfing but will also wear during the summer for all kinds of other stuff

95sr

I wasn't sure if tshirts were ok to wear, but that's good to know they are at some courses

Lindsey1472

I love the dresses from Halara. They are great for golf, but I honestly wear them all the time!

95sr

Thanks I'll check those out!

Dramatic_Raisin

How is the sizing?? Does their stuff run small? And the quality is ok?

Lindsey1472

Quality is great! Everything I’ve ordered from there has been spot on sizing wise. It does ship from China and takes forever to get your order, but I have been very pleased!

City_Chicky

I never found the work around so I just slowly built up my golf attire over time with basics. Sales racks and off brand are good starts. Sleeveless mock necks are the only crossover I’ve found. [Wilson’s](https://www.wilson.com/en-us/sportswear/women/tops/polos) polo tops might work depending on your personal style (retro inspired) but I haven’t tried them yet.

95sr

Makes sense, thanks!

North_Class8300

I like Tuckernuck’s sports collection - it’s a fairly specific style but as a coastal grandmother gal I will happily wear them the whole day. I also think their skirts are the best on the market. The cuts are a bit more flattering than many golf clothes too.

95sr

I just looked them up and this is MUCH closer to what I'm looking for, thank you!

MySweetSeraphim

I like quarter zips. Bad Birdie has been a favorite lately. Depends on your industry but I wear them to work all the time and have done (virtual) interviews in them. Mock necks. Haven’t found a good brand for this yet. I tried Sierra Madre but I’m tall so the top was a crop top even with a high rise skirt. It’s cute but not work appropriate even for casual industries.

95sr

Thanks I'll check those out!

zzzap

Oh I want Bad Birdie so bad, I should check their site for sales.... I got my husband 3 shirts for Xmas a few years ago and now I get jealous when he wears them lol

MySweetSeraphim

I got all my stuff half off or more last year. Really like them and want more. Also one of their hats that just say Bad to set expectations with any new playing partners 😂

Alex_N_Wndrlnd

TJ Maxx is selling Bad Birdie at the current moment.

Ilov3puppies

I have a few pairs of the Pia pants from J Lindeberg and I wear them to work all the time. For shoes, I have a pair of the Wailea golf shoes from Olukai and I wear them all the time outside of golf.

95sr

Pants and shoes are definitely easier! Thanks

beast_17

I was the same when I first started playing as my general not golf wardrobe was black sleeveless tanks and jeans year round. However, now my everyday attire is mostly colorful golf shirts. Ha ha. Welcome to the dark, er color, collared side!

95sr

I guess it's just a matter of time!

shotoftequila

I like the Macade clothes but a lot f it is overpriced.

95sr

That is also a struggle!

Bonecrushin

So far this season my most versatile piece is surprisingly from Aerie! It's called the Sidewalk Seamless long sleeve shirt, and i sized up to XL (from medium) so it wasn't so tight on my arms. I'm wearing it at work today actually, it's a great layering piece and looks really cute and put-together over polos. I also got a sporty black windbreaker there during the same shopping trip, which I bought for golf and have ended up wearing regularly with non-golf outfits. I also have some of the Aritzia Sweatfleece line, the mini skirt and crewneck sweatshirt in particular have been in my regular rotation on and off the course.

95sr

Ooh I love aeries leggings I'll have to check them out for tops!

abcdemily01

I like Athleta joggers when I golf. (I think my fave is the Trekkie. But they removed the drawstring waist on the new version.). What is great is I can wear them for more than golf as they are super comfortable but look “put together”.

95sr

Perfect thanks!
