Salma Paralluelo of Barcelona. Sometimes Mbappe uses his quickness and speed to just run past defenders. Paralluelo can do the same at the domestic and international level. What makes Mbappe so impressive is his soccer skills are a match to his athletic gifts. Paralluelo is not at Mbappe's level...but I think she'll get there.
I’m saying this as an arsenal fan: I haven’t seen nearly enough people say LJ. And I wonder if, had England won the World Cup and she hadn’t lashed out at Alozie, she would be getting a lot of this praise. I think Sama is a great player, but giving her the amount of praise that she has got since the World Cup, the same way that the Sweden keeper has been getting praised a lot, is indicative to me of people who are not watching the game in it’s entirety.
Oh, got the impression you thought Caicedo and S.Smith needed more time to get better than Salma, which is weird if you think (like me) that they are already better and, being older, further along in their development. But I checked and actually Caicedo is younger so more points to her being better
Given Salma is just now becoming a starter for club and country i was saying we should look back after 5 years to see who has played better. And also who is faster and more explosive on the ball
Salma also was more focused on track during her teenage years (she was elite level) and only really switched over to football as her full-time sport about 2 years or so ago. She's definitely still developing as a player.
there is no male version of Sam Kerr. There is only one Sam Kerr, its not possible to compare her to someone else. She's inreplacable and on a world of her own
The women's game is very different, it is much more passing and spacing oriented, team rather than individual. I would suggest it is important to watch it from the perspective that most of the best players are thinking "who can I set up to succeed" rather than "what can I do to succeed."
But there are some very creative and spirited players who all by themselves can come out of nowhere or make a play from nothing.
Rachel Daly is tops on my list for her unique creativity on both sides of the ball.
This year in NWSL Kerolin before she got injured was absolute must watch, a woman playing with girls, to adapt a saying. Having her was like playing 13 on 11.
Sophia Smith also in NWSL prior to the World Cup was playing with a will, and seemed to be ready to challenge to be the world's best, though for various reasons that didn't happen.
Katie McCabe this year has been a force, for Ireland in the WWC, and for Arsenal. She makes something happen every time she touches the ball.
Sam Kerr has for a long time been the world's best scorer, with tremendous body control and a predatory swagger. She is a little slowed by injury at the moment but is still extremely effective.
Another forceful player just coming back from injury is Vivianne Miedema. Incredible tight dribbler and tremendous, almost automatic finisher. It is like she puts a magnet on the ball to find the goal.
The most impactful young attacker I would say is Barcelona's Paralluelo. Like most very young players she can disappear for long stretches, but then will show up on a play with a force and speed and touch that are terrifying.
>She doesn't have the pace and is quite a bit older.
She's won the Golden Boot in three different leagues and on three different continents...if that doesn't qualify as another level than I don't know what does. Unless you meant she's not on another level pace wise. Than my bad...carry on
So far this has been the only correct answer that I’ve seen. Mal in the early portion of the year was exactly what Mbappé is to the men’s game: a devastating attacker who can make something happen every time she has the ball and can dribble the whole length of the field with ease against high class defenses
First off she doesnt even play for PSG.
Secondly, the OP asked for someone who is similarly entertaining and at the same level as a mbappe. Thats not Diani. Dumornay just wont Ligue 1 player of the month, shes the creator, diani and Le Sommer are the finishers.
Ah, youre right embarrassing of me. But Mbappe is he really a creator? Isn't he more like a fast dribbler, a power forward. Dumornay seems to bee a midfielder. Maybe he's changed his style since I wached him a couple of years ago though
Mbappe isnt a creator in the sense that he passes a lot but the biggest thing about Mbappé is that he’s a one on one menace. He gets the ball, isolates the defense, and creates something for himself.
both Mbappé and Dumornay are left wings for club and country. Both beat defenders in similar ways. If Melchie was better i’d say that was a perfect comparison. Shes young still. Mal Swanson is the best comp rn.
I definitely agree it's fun to discuss and compare players for everyone who loves the sport, but I wish men were more eager to talk about female players and praise their talents in men's spaces. If I went to a men's football page and they were earnestly asking who is the male Sam Kerr and naming amazing male players who live up to Sam's talent, I'd lose my mind. Doubt this will ever happen though.
that Brazilian that man utd got from Barcelona is it geyese or geyse not sure about her name but goddamn lady has skill pace and power... the way she be turning defenders and putting on the after burners is almost mbape like
If by female mbappé you mean a very fast forward who is/was discovered at a youg age , Parralluelo is the closest equivalent. She even won a WC at 19 y/o , like Mbappé.
I don't think there is someone like him in the women's game. That shouldn't be surprising because there is no-one like him in the men's game either, though.
I think his ego is unmatched in the women's game. ;)
If you like the pace and dribbling - Salma Paralluelo and Caroline Graham Hansen. CGH is older and more skilful, Salma is younger and more athletic. CGH assists more, Salma scores more.
That’s where I’m struggling to think of a comparison. Mbappe just has this very unique charisma on the field that cannot be replicated. But it goes both ways too. There are women stars who don’t have male counterparts either. It’s what makes them stars. 🤷🏻♂️
There are so many things that you could say about Ray Lewis‘s incredible career that the only way I would see them matching up with Katie is that they both won a lot, theyre both leaders, both very physical and theyre both great players. If I had to pick a ray Lewis equivalent to women’s soccer, I would say Katie but if I had to pick a Katie equivalent to the NFL I would definitely not pick Ray Lewis.
I had a lot of hope for Mana Iwabuchi (ex-Arsenal now Spurs). Quick feet, very skillful, the ball stuck to her feet. She was more like a Cazorla though than Mbappe but I don't know why it didn't pan out for her at Arsenal.
Watch this space for Linda Caicedo
Specifically the moment she hit the same shot he hit in the World Cup in the Women’s World Cup.
Diani is french, rapid, a winger/striker and played for PSG for a while
In the Lyon side i would say Dumornay is the exciting, athletic young talent
I agree with this!

She’s definitely the closest type of player to Mbappe.
I would love to take you up on this bet in 5 years: Caicedo and Sophia Smith will be better than Salma.
Remindme! 5 years
Thank you
Caicedo, Sophia, Salma, Trinity and LJ

all of these peole aer super young, so some of it is proection of the next few years
They are older than Salma and already better
That doesnt provide evidence to my point or theirs
Oh, got the impression you thought Caicedo and S.Smith needed more time to get better than Salma, which is weird if you think (like me) that they are already better and, being older, further along in their development. But I checked and actually Caicedo is younger so more points to her being better

Who is the male Sam Kerr?
Luis Suarez. He has a similarly slightly stocky figure, plays the same position and can't stop scoring.
Sam is Luis with less passing skill but more pace and long range shooting
And minus the biting and shit housing.
Yeah, the attitude is completely different
So Sam = boring Luis. ;)
She does backflips when she scores sometimes, so no 😁
Shes also way funnier she just doesnt attack people with her massive overbite like Luis does
She’s great, very happy to have met her a few times back in her Sky Blue days.
Suarez had longer range tho.
Yup
She bites less for one thing.
there is no male version of Sam Kerr. There is only one Sam Kerr, its not possible to compare her to someone else. She's inreplacable and on a world of her own
There are actually 2 Sam Kerrs😂
Pulisic
And you came to that conclusion, how?
Skilled player who’s popularity and name recognition garners more praise than it should.
While that is certainly true for Pulisic, that take on Sam Kerr is a bad one.
Agree to disagree friend.
Everyone disagrees
Isn’t he like the Lebron James of soccer or something?
Correct, Puligoat for short will do

Daly is one of my faves!
Sophia!!!
Mal Swanson before the injury against Ireland was the best attacker in the world
Daly absolute baller
"predatory swagger" is the perfect description! 🔥🔥🔥
Linda Caicedo!!
I only started watching club football this season, but I think Caitlin Foord and Cloe Lacasse are entertaining dribblers and pretty direct players
Mead is back. I think she’s closer.
Obvious answer: Sam Kerr Note that the obvious answer might not be the best one.
She doesn't have the pace and is quite a bit older.
Sam not having pace? Are you kidding?
THE pace. Not saying she is slow, just that it's not on another level like Mpappe.
>She doesn't have the pace and is quite a bit older. She's won the Golden Boot in three different leagues and on three different continents...if that doesn't qualify as another level than I don't know what does. Unless you meant she's not on another level pace wise. Than my bad...carry on
I am just talking pace!
Mal Swanson!!!

Someone said Diani. I think that is the correct answer. Fast, french, scores and plays for PSG
First off she doesnt even play for PSG. Secondly, the OP asked for someone who is similarly entertaining and at the same level as a mbappe. Thats not Diani. Dumornay just wont Ligue 1 player of the month, shes the creator, diani and Le Sommer are the finishers.

Lauren Hemp. She's very fast. Cortnee Vine is also very agile and speedy.
Hempo is such a magician on the ball.
Why there should be a female Mbappe? Who is the male Bonmati?
Iniesta
Well, Iniesta is more like a male Caldentey.
Iniesta and Xavi call Aitana a version of Iniesta
Pep too, most recently
>who is the male Bonmati? there is no god but god
Cause its fun! and yea Bonmati is female Iniesta as someone said
I definitely agree it's fun to discuss and compare players for everyone who loves the sport, but I wish men were more eager to talk about female players and praise their talents in men's spaces. If I went to a men's football page and they were earnestly asking who is the male Sam Kerr and naming amazing male players who live up to Sam's talent, I'd lose my mind. Back in my day the female zidane was luisa necib.
Delphine cascarino plays exactly like him. Both speedy and love their step over into a burst of speed and they look alike too
that Brazilian that man utd got from Barcelona is it geyese or geyse not sure about her name but goddamn lady has skill pace and power... the way she be turning defenders and putting on the after burners is almost mbape like
caroline graham hansen
Caroline Graham-Hansen!

10 years ago? Marta. Right now? Kerr and Sophia Smith
Esmee Brugts maybe.
Kadidiatou Diani imo
Katie McCabe is the LeBron James of (women’s) soccer.
Katie McCabe is the Ray Lewis of WoSo
Assume he’s the 🐐so
There are so many things that you could say about Ray Lewis‘s incredible career that the only way I would see them matching up with Katie is that they both won a lot, theyre both leaders, both very physical and theyre both great players. Katty Martinez
Katoto

Model was a weird case because all of the players were constantly praising her, but it was obvious she didn’t fit in to the style of the team.
i would say diani & salma paralluelo
In my opinion, Sakina Karchaoui is the female Mbappe. She operates on the left flank, plays for PSG, and wears the number 7, just like him.
